NetAPT is a tool that helps enterprise and utility customers validate their network security policy. While the tool gives helpful results, it relies on lots of external programs to help it perform its powerful analysis. These dependencies often take hours or days to correctly install and configure. Users need a solution that helps them run the tool quickly, a distribution in which this deep configuration has already been performed. This thesis details how to create a minimal, application-specific ISO of a Linux operating system that can be booted live, installed to a computer, or virtualized across many different platforms. The author first looked at Linux From Scratch as a way to create a completely minimal and bloat-free system. Once the system had been compiled, it failed to run properly and was not small enough. The author next looked at customizing the Ubuntu installer, which well supported the application and its dependencies. The final distribution produced a small, branded ISO that could be run as a LiveCD or installed as a traditional operating system. This makes it easy for users to download a copy of the tool and use it right away without the need for any configuration. Advisors/Committee Members: Nicol, David M. (advisor).

V magistrskem delu predstavljamo namenski operacijski sistem, ki se izvaja na 32-bitnem mikrokrmilniku družine PIC. Skrbi za preklop med procesi, ki imajo lahko različne prioritete ali pa se izvajajo periodično, upravlja s pomnilnikom in omogoča sinhronizacijo med procesi. V nalogi bomo izvedli časovno primerjavo med našo rešitvijo ter prosto dostopnim operacijskim sistemom. Magistrska naloga najprej obravnava sorodna dela s področja realno-časovnih operacijskih sistemov na mikrokrmilnikih PIC32. Sledi opis operacijskih sistemov, kaj delajo in kako so zgrajeni, opis mikrokrmilnikov PIC in našega operacijskega sistema. Na koncu bomo prikazali dobljene rezultate in primerjavo z drugo rešitvijo.

In this work, we present specific operating system that is running on a family of 32-bit PIC microcontrollers. Its task is to switch between processes, which may have different priorities or are carried out periodically, manages memory and allows synchronization between processes. We conduct time comparison between our and open source real time operating system. Firstly, we present related work in the field of the real-time operating systems for PIC32. Followed by a description of the operating systems, what they are doing and how they are constructed, a description of the PIC microcontrollers and our operating system. At the end we show results obtained and comparison with another solution.

The bachelor's thesis deals with utilization of compression-ignition engine in army purposes, especially in army vehicles . It aims to motors of military and special vehicles as are armoured vehicles or tanks and gives view of features about motors and exigencies which must fullfils usage in specific conditions. Thesis describes problematics of operating and maintanance CI - engines and negative effects which appear in battle contidionts. It gives notice about curing methods each parts of engine and about systems which supports engine working and classifies exemplifications of differences distinct from ordinary motors, common uses in civil cars. Creates view on problematics of positioning and constructional solution of motor space inside vehicle. It brings basic informations about oil fuels used in army and its requierements. Objective of this thesis is disclosure of information about specific features and standards of motors intended for army purposes.
