The Charlatan is a dramatic adventure video game where players explore the history and philosophy of science by taking part in a conspiracy to undermine scientific progress. To thwart an impending apocalypse caused by the abuse of scientific knowledge, they will travel back in time to the Renaissance. There they will interfere with the career of Johannes Kepler by generating and introducing misleading evidence into the scientific community and preventing him from receiving the institutional support that is necessary to continue his research.
