Software projects are inherently complex, risky and require careful planning. Inadequate planning and specifications, ill defined requirements, poor process of requirement analysis and testing, lack of metrics and measures to compute project’s sheer size and complexity, all together lead to numerous change requests, delays, significant added costs and increases the possibility of errors. But it is also a fact that software failures for the most part are predictable and avoidable by using a good requirement analysis method, proper management of software complexity and proper testing techniques. The entire work in this thesis focuses on these three factors to avoid software failures. Currently, Object-Oriented Analysis is the most popular method for analysis of requirements. In Object-Oriented Analysis, various techniques have been proposed that either use Natural language processing approaches or employ Use cases to identify classes. Natural language based approaches have their own inherent limitations and several critical reviews have been done on Use case based approaches. It has been iterated that event thinking is equally important way of modeling a system. At the same time there are supporting facts that event modeling introduces rigor and discipline in the Use Case modeling by helping to determine list of Use Cases. So, work has been done in this thesis to use events to develop an alternate method for Object-Oriented Analysis of requirements, for measuring complexity of a system, to generate event sequence-based test scenarios and test cases and to specify and model changes in software requirements either in terms of addition and/or modification of events or event interdependencies. All these contributions are integrated under a single event-based framework. This framework addresses the requirements analysis, design, modeling, program construction, testing, and support activities of a typical software engineering process.

▼ The massive amount of current data has led to many different forms of data analysis processes that aim to explore this data to uncover valuable insights such as trends, anomalies and patterns. These processes support decision makers in their analysis of varied and changing data ranging from financial transactions to customer interactions and social network postings. These data analysis processes use a wide variety of methods, including machine learning, in several domains such as business, finance, health and smart cities. Several data analysis processes have been proposed by academia and industry, including CRISP-DM and SEMMA, to describe the phases that data analysis experts go through when solving their problems. Specifically, CRISP-DM has modeling as one of its phases, which involves selecting a modeling technique, generating a test design, building a model, and assessing the model. However, automating these data analysis modeling processes faces numerous challenges, from a software engineering perspective. First, software users expect increased flexibility from the software as to the possible variations in techniques, types of data, and parameter settings. The software is required to accommodate complex usage and deployment variations, which are difficult for non-experts. Second, variability in functionality or quality attributes increases the complexity of these systems and makes them harder to design and implement. There is a lack of a framework design that takes variability into account. Third, the lack of a more comprehensive analysis of variability makes it difficult to evaluate opportunities for automating data analysis modeling. This thesis proposes a variability-aware design approach to the data analysis modeling process. The approach involves: (i) the assessment of the variabilities inherent in CRISP-DM data analysis modeling and the provision of feature models that represent these variabilities; (ii) the definition of a preliminary framework design that captures the identified variabilities; and (iii) evaluation of the framework design in terms of possibilities of automation. Overall, this work presents, to the best of our knowledge, the first approach based on variability assessment to design data modeling process such as CRISP-DM. The approach advances the state of the art by offering a variability-aware design a solution that can enhance system flexibility and a novel software design framework to support data analysis modeling.

O presente documento tem por objetivo apresentar o desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta computacional para auxiliar profissionais da área de otimização na implementação de métodos e resolução de problemas. O projeto foi desenvolvido como tema de dissertação no Programa de Mestrado em Ciência da Computação e Matemática Computacional do ICMC/USP. A ferramenta pode ser enquadrada como um ambiente de desenvolvimento (framework) e será chamada de ProOF - Professional Optimization Framework. O ProOF tem como foco principal nortear a implementação computacional de métodos variados para problemas de otimização, utilizando como paradigma a programação orientada a objetos. Esse framework incorpora as principais características encontradas por outras ferramentas propostas na literatura. Além disso, procura facilitar a implementação de métodos e resolução de problemas ao permitir alto reuso de códigos, dar suporte a geração de códigos em diferentes linguagens de programação e gerar uma Graphical User Interface (GUI) automática para parametrização dos métodos inseridos pelo usuário. Alguns trabalhos publicados recentemente utilizaram versões em desenvolvimento do ProOF e serão citados como estudo de caso para atestar a robustez do framework proposto. Por fim, uma comparação será realizada entre o ProOF e outros frameworks existentes na literatura

This paper aims to present the development of a computational tool to assist professionals in the optimization field in implementation of methods and problem solving. The project was developed as dissertation topic in the Masters Program in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at ICMC/USP. The tool can be considered as a development environment (framework) and will be called ProOF - Professional Optimization Framework. The ProOF is mainly focused on guiding the implementation of various computational methods for optimization problems using as a paradigm the object-oriented programming. This framework incorporating the principal features found in other tools proposed in the literature. Moreover, seeks to facilitate the implementation of methods and problem resolution by allowing high code reuse, give support to code generation in different programming languages and generate a Graphical User Interface (GUI) automatic for parameter setting of methods implemented by the user. Some recently published studies have used previous versions of the ProOF and they will be cited as a case study to attest the robustness of the proposed framework. Finally, a comparison will be made between the ProOF and other existing frameworks in the literature

Esta dissertação centra-se no modelo de representação de ontologias O3F e da correspondente linguagem CO3L, ambos desenvolvidos no grupo de Agentes e Inteligência Artificial do Departamento de Ciências e Tecnologias da Informação do ISCTE-IUL. Pretende-se alcançar dois objectivos. O primeiro consiste em melhorar e expandir o O3F e o CO3L para aumentar a sua expressividade, especialmente no sentido de permitir a representação de modelos UML e ontologias OWL. O segundo consiste na criação de ferramentas computacionais para ontologias O3F, a principal das quais é um conversor automático de UML para O3F/CO3L. Pretende-se assim que as ontologias O3F possam ser especificadas em UML, tirando partido das suas ferramentas de desenvolvimento, e aproximar o O3F da grande comunidade de especialistas de modelação UML. Adicionalmente, foram também feitas contribuições para a construção de um servidor de ontologias O3F e desenvolveu-se um mecanismo capaz de extrair, na linguagem textual CO3L, as ontologias armazenadas nesse servidor. Decidiu-se apostar no O3F porque, quando comparado com outras abordagens à representação de ontologias (OWL, Ontolingua e UML), revela várias vantagens e, além disso, tem sido desenvolvida no grupo de investigação em que esta dissertação se integra. Exemplos dessas vantagens são a capacidade de especificar acções ou de modelar segundo vários paradigmas (orientado a objectos, relacional/funcional, ou misturando ambos). A avaliação deste trabalho conclui que as melhorias feitas ao modelo e à linguagem têm utilidade e cumpriram os seus objectivos, e que as ferramentas desenvolvidas efectuam processamentos correctos, têm utilidade e são práticas de usar.

This dissertation is focused on the ontology representation model O3F and the corresponding language CO3L, both developed by the Agents and Artificial Intelligence group of the Department of Sciences and Information Technologies of ISCTE-IUL. It is intended to achieve two goals. The first one consists of improving and expanding O3F and CO3L in order to increase their expressiveness, especially to allow the representation of UML models and OWL ontologies. The second one consists of developing computer tools for O3F ontologies, the most important of which is an automatic translator from UML to O3F/CO3L. This translator is meant to allow the specification of O3F ontologies in UML, taking advantage of its development tools, and to bridge the gap between O3F and the large and important UML community. In addition, contributions were made to build an ontology server for O3F, and a mechanism capable of extracting, in the CO3L text language, the ontologies stored on the developed server. It was decided to invest in O3F because, when compared to other formal representation languages (OWL, Ontolingua and UML), it shows several advantages and also because it has been developed in the research group where this dissertation was done. ▼ Secure Communication is a mandatory requirement in many network applications. Wireless sensor networks (WSN) require more attention regarding securing the communication between its nodes. In these kinds of networks, communications may occur between sensors themselves or between sensors and the node that is responsible of collecting information from sensors which is called a Base Station (BS). Communications between sensors are not completely controlled by the BS, where sensors are able to communicate directly with each others. Limited resources of such kind of networks require special techniques to be applied on those kinds of networks that differ from those applied to other kinds of networks. Some researches focus on providing the Sensor-Sensor communication and others focused on Sensor-BS communication. From the security side, many proposals present security solutions to be applied on those communications. Few proposals provide complete key management solutions to cover both kind of communications (i.e. Sensor-Sensor, and Sensor-BS communications). However, these proposals do not discuss the detection of the compromised nodes under network attacks. Some other proposals discuss the issue of compromised nodes detections. In this dissertation, we present a complete framework that covers all the aspects of WSN communications (i.e. Routing Protocol, Security Key Management, and Intrusion Detection). The framework is called Secure Object Oriented Architecture for Wireless Sensor Networks (SOOAWSN). We present each module as an object that contains some methods that cover all the aspects of that part. Then, these objects are applied together as a complete solution or as methods selected from each object to create a partial solution that satisfies specific application's requirements. The first model relates to routing technique. It contains one method for routing the information from sensors to the BS. It relies on Dynamic Clustering hierarchy where sensors are grouped into clusters with clusters heads. These clusters heads forward the data to the BS from other sensors. The second model relates to key management protocol. This model consists of three methods. First method relies on the Key-Predistribution technique where the BS assigns groups of keys with their IDs to the sensors prior to network deployment in order to be used during network communications. The second method adopts the Public-Private technique to digitally sign the message and for keys exchanges. The third method is an improvement and an addition to the Key-predistribution technique to support multi-generation network. In this method the keys are generated and renewed locally in each sensor without the need of the BS. The third model relates to intrusion detection and recovery. It consists of two methods; the Public-Private method and Routing-Attack method. The first method involves the authentication of the sensor using the digital signature. ▼ During the design process, structural engineers are required to create more efficient designs while achieving maximum integration with other disciplines, satisfying design requirements and ensuring sufficient safety. Even though many algorithms, tools and case studies of computational optimisations for structural design are available in both literature and practice, their application is often tailored to a specific case. The limited generalizability of these optimization definitions complicates reuse of implemented design knowledge in new design situations. Even though structural design projects are unique in nature, they share a common base in terms of structural components, objectives and restraints (e.g. element strength, global structure deflection). This research proved that defining design knowledge within these abstract components allows for the reuse of definitions in new situations. This has been evaluated in three stages: 1. The development of a prototype for a knowledge-based framework, based on components, objectives and restraints; 2. The implemented knowledge was verified against reliability and efficiency of the structural design restraints and optimisation algorithms by analysing three cases; 3. Finally, the prototype has been used three complex cases to prove its versality. This resulted in a prototype of a knowledge-based framework that allows for the reuse and extension of design knowledge. In total ten case studies were evaluated with this prototype: • Three basic case studies that verified conservative evaluation of load bearing resistance. • Three benchmark cases that demonstrated that performance of efficient solutions found showed agreement with results in literature (maximum difference in performance 4%). • A comparison of the implemented prototype with the commercial application Scia Engineer endorses the added value of the suggested approach, such as the possibility to include topology optimisation. • Three complex case studies have been extensively evaluated to demonstrate the reuse of knowledge in diverse contexts, e.g., a comparative case study, a theoretic study and a practical application. Finally, prerequisites were defined for development of a knowledge-based framework that allows for the reuse of explicit knowledge for structural optimisation, such as distribution of explicit knowledge over multiple levels of abstraction, in individual generic components of the structural optimisation process (such as a structural element) with context dependent relations introduced as variables. The ability of reusing explicit knowledge allowed the author for running the ten cases in a limited time frame. It is estimated that the effort for using computational optimisation in the design process will reduce by this approach. Additional research is suggested to quantify the benefits and effort of this approach in comparison to traditional trial and error design and specialised optimisation implementations. ▼ Medical devices used for surgical or therapeutic purposes require a high degree of safety and effectiveness. Software is critical component of many such medical devices. The software architecture of a system defines organizational structure and the runtime characteristic of the application used to control the operation of the system and provides a set of frameworks that are used to develop that. As such, the design of software architecture is a critical element in achieving the intended functionality, performance, and safety requirements of a medical device. This architecture uses object-oriented design techniques, which model the underlying system as a set of objects that interact to achieve their goals. The architecture includes a number of frameworks comprised of a set of classes that can be extended to achieve different functionality required for a medical device. The Input/ Output (IO) framework includes a number of core classes that implement periodic and a periodic input output with varying priority requirements, provides a hardware neutral interface to the application logic, and a set of classes that can be extended to both meet the hardware IO specifics of a target platform and create new sensor and actuator types for client applications. The Devices framework provides a blueprint to develop the controller logic of the medical device in terms of abstractions that parallel the hardware components of the medical device. The Configuration framework allows creation and configuration of a medical device from an XML (Extensible Markup Specification) specification that specifies the configuration of the device based on abstract factories that can be extended to meet requirements of a specific medical device. The Controller is the component of the architecture that defines classes that implement reception of commands from and transmission of status and data to a local or remote client and dictate the structure of threads, thread priorities and policies for this purpose. The Diagnostics package of the architecture defines a framework for developing components that monitor the health of the system and detect emergency conditions. The architecture is implemented in C++ and runs on a real-time LINUX operating system. At this time, the architecture is used in development of two of the St. Jude Medical Atrial Fibrillation Division’s medical devices; one of these has FDA class III and the other class II classification. 近年、インターネットの普及に伴い、Webアプリケーションが広く利用されるようになってきている。その需要は今後も高まると考えられ、より簡単な開発方法が模索されている。コンポーネント指向フレームワークは、コンポーネントの部品化と再利用性が重要であるが、現状でそれができているフレームワークは存在しない。そこで本研究では、コンポーネント指向フレームワークにおいて、コンポーネントの再利用性を向上すべく、オブジェクト指向の技術を適用した。その結果、コンポーネント定義の拡張容易性を向上させることに成功した。コンポーネント指向フレームワークには、Webアプリケーション開発において重要なデザインとロジックの分離を実現しているJakarta Tapestryを用いて、オブジェクト指向的なコンポーネントの有用性を評価した。

O paradigma da orientação a objetos esta se tomando a abordagem preferida para construção de sistemas em ambiente de banco de dados. Por outro lado, a tecnologia relacional e amplamente adotada para gerenciar dados corporativos. Os bancos de dados relacionais tornaram-se o padrão no armazenamento de dados para aplicações de processamento de transações on-line (OLTP). Estas tendências estão motivando a necessidade de construção de aplicações orientadas a objetos que acessem banco de dados relacionais. 0 uso de conceitos orientado a objetos, como herança, permitem uma modelagem !Dais adequada e uma melhor implementação da aplicação baseada em sistema de banco de dados orientado a objetos. Entretanto, os resultados do projeto orientado a objetos, podem também ser aplicados em sistemas clássicos de banco de dados. 0 trabalho apresenta o uso de padrões de projeto na construção de una arquitetura de um framework que auxilie o mapeamento de uma aplicação 00 a um SGBD relacional. Esta arquitetura segue a abordagem de persistência de objetos baseada em gateways, que é uma camada de software inserida entre o sistema gerenciador de banco de dados e a aplicação orientada a objetos, cujo o objetivo é dar suporte a um modelo de programação de aplicações 00. A característica principal desta arquitetura é a separação clara das classes que tratam da base de dados em relação as classes que tratam do domínio do problema da aplicação. Esta divisão de responsabilidades permite a substituição das classes referentes a base de dados por outras, permitindo a migração da aplicação entre bases de dados diferentes. São apresentados neste trabalho, formas de mapeamentos de esquemas orientados a objetos para esquemas relacionais. Estes mapeamentos acontecem do modelo 00 para o modelo relacional. E importante salientar, que a arquitetura que esta sendo proposta, não vai impedir que aplicações estruturadas deixem ter acesso a base de dados relacional mapeada, pois esta abordagem foi escolhida para permitir que novas aplicações 00 tenham acesso a base de dados relacionais já existentes. Como a implementação deste trabalho segue a abordagem de gateway, são apresentados os conceitos de orientação objetos, e como estes serão suportados na arquitetura, ou seja, o que o gateway devera implementar.

A geração de dados de teste é uma tarefa obrigatória do processo de teste de software. Em geral, é realizada por prossionais de teste, o que torna seu custo elevado e sua automatização necessária. Os frameworks existentes que auxiliam essa atividade são restritos, fornecendo apenas uma única técnica de geração de dados de teste, uma única função de aptidão para avaliação dos indivíduos e apenas um algoritmo de seleção. Este trabalho apresenta o framework JaBTeG (Java Bytecode Test Generation) de geração de dados de teste. A principal característica do framework é permitir o desenvolvimento de métodos de geração de dados de teste por meio da seleção da técnica de geração de dados de teste, da função de aptidão, do algoritmo de seleção e critério de teste estrutural. Utilizando o framework JaBTeG, técnicas de geração de dados de teste podem ser criadas e experimentadas. O framework está associado à ferramenta de teste JaBUTi (Java Bytecode Understanding and Testing) para auxiliar a geração de dados de teste. Quatro técnicas de geração de dados de teste, duas funções de aptidão e quatro algoritmos de seleção foram desenvolvidos para validação da abordagem proposta pelo framework. De maneira complementar, cinco programas com características diferentes foram testados com dados gerados usando os métodos providos pelo framework JaBTeG.

Test data generation is a mandatory activity of the software testing process. In general, it is carried out by testing practitioners, which makes it costly and its automation needed. Existing frameworks to support this activity are restricted, providing only one data generation technique, a single tness function to evaluate individuals, and a unique selection algorithm. This work describes the JaBTeG (Test Java Bytecode Generation) framework for testing data generation. The main characteristc of JaBTeG is to allow the development of data generation methods by selecting the data generation technique, the tness function, the selection algorithm and the structural testing criteria. By using JaBTeG, new methods for testing data generation can be developed and experimented. The framework was associated with JaBUTi (Java Bytecode Understanding and Testing) to support testing data creation. Four data generation techniques, two tness functions, and four selection algorithms were developed to validate the approach proposed by the framework. In addition, ve programs with dierent characteristics were tested with data generated using the methods supported by JaBTeG.

Neste trabalho foi realizado o projeto e o desenvolvimento do framework de classes OOPS - Object-Oriented Parallel System. Esta é uma ferramenta que utiliza orientação a objetos para apoiar a implementação de programas científicos concorrentes para execução paralela. O OOPS fornece abstrações de alto nível para que o programador da aplicação não se envolva diretamente com detalhes de implementação paralela, sem contudo ocultar completamente aspectos paralelos de projeto, como particionamento e distribuição dos dados, por questões de eficiência e de desempenho da aplicação. Para isso, o OOPS apresenta um conjunto de classes que permitem o encapsulamento de técnicas comumente encontradas em programação de sistemas paralelos. Utiliza o conceito de processadores virtuais organizados em grupos, aos quais podem ser aplicadas topologias que fornecem modos de comunicação entre os processadores virtuais, e contêineres podem ter seus elementos distribuídos por essas topologias, com componentes paralelos atuando sobre eles. A utilização das classes fornecidas pelo OOPS facilita a implementação do código sem adicionar sobrecarga significativa à aplicação paralela, representando uma camada fina sobre a biblioteca de passagem de mensagens usada.

This work describes the design and development of the OOPS (Object Oriented Parallel System) class framework, which is a tool that uses object orientation to support programming of concurrent scientific applications for parallel execution. OOPS provides high level abstractions to avoid application programmer\'s involvement with many parallel implementation details. For performance considerations, some parallel aspects such as decomposition and data distribution are not completely hidden from the application programmer. To achieve its intents, OOPS encapsulates some programming techniques frequently used for parallel systems. Virtual processors are organized in groups, over which topologies that provide communication between the processors can be constructed; distributed containers have their elements distributed across the processors of a topology, and parallel components use these containers for their work. The use of the classes supplied by OOPS simplifies the implementation of parallel applications, without incurring in pronounced overhead. OOPS is thus a thin layer over the message passing interface used for its implementation.

▼ Os frameworks orientado a objetos oferecem um grande potencial para aumentar a produtividade e a qualidade no desenvolvimento de software. Um framework e uma infra-estrutura ou esqueleto de uma família de aplicações pertencentes a um domínio determinado. Basicamente, aplicações especificas são construídas especializando as classes do framework para fornecer a implementação de alguns métodos, enquanto a maior parte da funcionalidade da aplicação e herdada. Esta característica permite a reutilização tanto do código quanto o projeto das aplicações do domínio, o qual representa um beneficio muito significativo a respeito de outras tecnologias de reutilização. Entretanto, começar a utilizar um framework para construir aplicações especificas e complicado para um usuário que não seja o projetista do framework. Compreender um framework é frequentemente muito mais difícil que compreender bibliotecas de componentes que podem ser reutilizados independentemente. Neste caso, e suficiente compreender sua interface externa. No caso dos frameworks, para aproveitar ao Máximo as possibilidades de reutilização que oferece, e necessário compreender o projeto interno de suas classes, como essas classes colaboram entre si, bem como a forma na qual instancias dessas classes colaboram em tempo de execução. Compreender estes aspectos uma tarefa reconhecidamente complexa e demorada, sendo este e um dos fatores mais limitantes da tecnologia para ser de utilidade efetiva na produção de software. Neste trabalho, apresenta-se uma abordagem reflexiva para a construção de ferramentas de apoio a compreensão de frameworks. Esta abordagem e suportada por Luthier, um framework projetado, e implementado em Smalltalk-80, para a construção de ferramentas de analise dinâmica e visualização de programas orientados a objetos. Luthier introduz três contribuições importantes: Utilização de técnicas de reflexão computacional baseadas no conceito de gerenciadores de meta-objetos, o qual suporta a implementação de metaarquiteturas de meta-objetos especializadas para a análise de aplicações. Controle interativo do grau de detalhe das visualizações (zoom semântico) através do suporte explícito de escalas de abstração. As escalas de abstração são controladas por objetos denominados abstratores. Um abstrator permite encapsular em objetos específicos algoritmos de derivação de abstracões, filtragem e seleção de informação, bem como o controle do nível de detalhe mostrado pelas visualizações. Esta separação de funcionalidade permite implementar complexas funcionalidades de análise de programas, sem a necessidade de modificar as classes que implementam visualizações ou a representação da informação. ▼ Aircraft conceptual design, as the first design stage, provides major opportunity to compress design cycle time and is the cheapest place for making design changes. However, traditional aircraft conceptual design programs, which are monolithic programs, cannot provide satisfactory functionality to meet new design requirements due to the lack of domain flexibility and analysis scalability. Therefore, we are in need of the next generation aircraft conceptual design environment (NextADE). To build the NextADE, the framework and the data management problem are two major problems that need to be addressed at the forefront. Solving these two problems, particularly the data management problem, is the focus of this research. In this dissertation, a distributed object-oriented framework is firstly formulated and tested for the NextADE. In order to improve interoperability and simplify the integration of heterogeneous application tools, data management is one of the major problems that need to be tackled. To solve this problem, taking into account the characteristics of aircraft conceptual design data, a robust, extensible object-oriented data model is then proposed according to the distributed object-oriented framework. By overcoming the shortcomings of the traditional approach of modeling aircraft conceptual design data, this data model makes it possible to capture specific detailed information of aircraft conceptual design without sacrificing generality. Based upon this data model, a prototype of the data management system, which is one of the fundamental building blocks of the NextADE, is implemented utilizing the state of the art information technologies. Using a general-purpose integration software package to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed framework and the data management system, the NextADE is initially implemented by integrating the prototype of the data management system with other building blocks of the design environment. As experiments, two case studies are conducted in the integrated design environments. One is based upon a simplified conceptual design of a notional conventional aircraft; the other is a simplified conceptual design of an unconventional aircraft. As a result of the experiments, the proposed framework and the data management approach are shown to be feasible solutions to the research problems. ▼ La densification actuelle de l'urbanisation conduit à un changement d'occupation du sol et du réseau de drainage en zone péri-urbaine. L'écoulement est concentré dans des fossés ou des réseaux d'assainissement et ainsi accéléré. Ces phénomènes peuvent avoir des conséquences importantes pour les nappes et les cours d'eau, comme par exemple l'aggravation des crues et des sécheresses et l'altération de la qualité chimique et/ou biologique du milieu. Sous la pression réglementaire (Directive Cadre Européenne sur l'Eau) et la demande sociale, les gestionnaires sont donc confrontés à des choix complexes en terme d'aménagement. Ainsi, il est nécessaire de mettre au point des méthodes et des modèles capables de quantifier l'impact de l'augmentation de l'urbanisation sur la vulnérabilité des hydro-systèmes péri-urbains. Dans ce travail, nous formulons l'hypothèse qu'une modélisation hydrologique spatialisée continue, prenant explicitement en compte les objets des paysages périurbains (parcelles urbaines, agricoles, forestières, haies,..) et les éléments déterminant les chemins de l'eau (topographie, mais aussi réseaux d'assainissement ou de routes) peut aider à comprendre et hiérarchiser le rôle des différents objets du paysage sur la réponse hydrologique. Pour ce faire, le modèle distribué PUMMA (Peri-Urban Model for landscape Management) adapté aux bassins versants péri-urbains, a été développé dans le cadre de cette thèse. Il consiste en une intégration du modèle existant URBS, décrivant des processus hydrologiques urbains à l'échelle d'une parcelle cadastrale, dans la plate-forme de modélisation LIQUID, qui contient déjà des modules représentants des processus hydrologiques en zone rurale. PUMMA a également été complété par de nouveaux modules simulant les déversoirs d'orage, les bassins de rétention et le transfert du ruissellement de surface. Le modèle suit une approche orientée objet dans laquelle le paysage est divisé en mailles irrégualières, correspondant aux parcelles cadastrales en zone urbaine et aux unités de réponse hydrologiques (HRUs) en zone rurale. Afin de pouvoir appliquer le modèle à l'échelle d'un bassin versant, des méthodes automatiques pour la préparation des données géographiques ont été mises au point. De plus, une méthode a été développée pour déterminer les contours de bassins versants péri-urbains, en distinguant les surfaces contributives de temps sec et humide. Le modèle a été appliqué au bassin versant de la Chaudanne, un sous-bassin de l'Yzeron, situé en zone péri-urbaine lyonnaise pour deux années en conditions contrastées (sèche et humide). Les paramètres du modèle ont été spécifiés à partir des observations disponibles et des données de la littérature. Les résultats montrent un comportement du modèle réaliste et une aptitude à représenter les comportements différents en période sèche et humide, en lien avec des degrés de saturation des sols différents, même si les pics de débits d'été sont en général surestimés. Nas últimas quatro décadas, métodos e algoritmos para análise e formação de arranjos físicos de máquinas, equipamentos, departamentos e serviços auxiliares vêm sendo desenvolvidos para reduzir o fluxo de materiais e o deslocamento de pessoal entre eles, objetivando diminuir custos e aumentar a eficiência do sistema produtivo. Diversos autores têm proposto algoritmos e ferramentas computacionais para aumentar a produtividade do projetista de arranjo físico, mas todos focam em um determinado conjunto de algoritmos, método, ou tipo de arranjo físico. Neste contexto, este trabalho de pesquisa buscou desenvolver um software que atue em um escopo mais amplo que o dessas ferramentas computacionais. A partir de uma estrutura baseada em um framework de aplicação orientado a objeto, o software proposto é capaz de suportar a introdução de novos métodos, algoritmos e ferramentas gráficas para análise e formação dos diversos tipos de arranjos físicos existentes, à medida que estes forem necessários, sem sofrer modificações ou gerar alterações significativas em seu código fonte. Isso permite ao desenvolvedor adaptar facilmente o software proposto às necessidades de um projeto de arranjo físico

In the last four decades, methods and algorithms have been developed to analyse and arrange the layout of machines, equipments, departments, and auxiliary services in order to minimize the movement of people and material flow. It is normally made to reduce costs and improve the production system efficiency. Several authors have proposed computational algorithms and tools to increase productivity of the layout designer, but all of them focus on a limited set of algorithms or methods, or on a particular layout type. In this research work, a computer program with a broader scope than current computational tools has been developed. By adopting a structure based on an object-oriented application framework, the proposed software supports the addition of new methods, algorithms, and graphical tools, which can be applied, as required, on several different layout design types without significant structural or source code changes. It enables the developer to adapt the proposed software for new layout design requirements easily
