持続可能な社会の構築に向けて未利用の木質系資源を有効活用していくためには,木質系材料から効率的に任意形状部材を成形できる技術を確立し,その利用用途を拡大していく必要がある.本研究では,木質系材料の成形加工に関わる問題を解決するため,「蒸煮処理による素材の改質」および「金型および成形プロセスの最適化」の観点から,木質系材料の成形性向上および成形難度低減を目的とした研究を行った. その結果,蒸煮処理によって改質した木質系粉末の流動特性を明らかにした.また,最適条件下で素材に蒸煮処理を施し,流動・自己接着特性を最大限に引き出すことで,射出成形できることを示した.さらに,金型表面状態の制御および木質系材料の鍛造加工法の開発により,金型・成形プロセス最適化の観点から木質系材料の成形難度を低減させる方法を提案した.
