A investiga��o no �mbito do impacto psicol�gico associado �s experi�ncias de vitima��o tem-se centrado fundamentalmente nas consequ�ncias negativas e menos nas dimens�es de funcionamento psicol�gico adaptativo. Por outro lado, v�rios estudos t�m verificado uma rela��o significativa entre o Estatuto Social Subjetivo e indicadores de sa�de f�sica ou mental, no entanto, s�o inexistentes estudos que consideraram o ESS na compreens�o do impacto decorrente das experi�ncias de vitima��o. Neste sentido, o presente estudo prop�s-se a testar o papel moderador do Estatuto Social Subjetivo (ESS) na predi��o do funcionamento psicol�gico atual, tendo como vari�vel antecedente a experi�ncia de vitima��o durante o �ltimo ano. A amostra foi constitu�da por 381 participantes, com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 67 anos de idade (M= 34; DP= 10,63), sendo que a maioria era do sexo feminino (52.8%). Em termos de instrumentos recorreu-se a um question�rio sociodemogr�fico para recolher informa��o sociodemogr�fica e a avalia��o individual do Estatuto Social Subjetivo, a um question�rio de autorrelato para avaliar experi�ncias de vitima��o na idade adulta (QUEVIA), a uma escala de Bem-Estar Psicol�gico (EBEP) para avaliar indicadores de bem estar, e a um invent�rio de sintomas psicopatol�gicos (BSI) para avaliar sintomatologia de depress�o e ansiedade. Os resultados confirmaram o papel moderador do ESS, demonstrando que em condi��es de elevado ESS, resultam n�veis inferiores de sintomatologia depressiva e n�veis superiores de Bem Estar Psicol�gico, particularmente no que respeita � dimens�o de autonomia.

The investigation on the psychological impact associated with victimization experiences has mainly focused on the negative consequences and less on the dimensions of adaptive psychological functioning. On the other hand, several studies had verified a significant relationship between the Subjective Social Status and indicators of physical or mental health, however, there are no studies that consider the ESS the reason of the impact of victimization experiences. In this sense, the present study proposes to test the moderating role of the Subjective Social Statute (ESS) in the prediction of current psychological functioning, having as antecedent variable the experience of victimization during the last year. The sample consisted of 381 participants, aged between 18 and 67 years (M = 34; SD = 10.63), the majority of whom were female (52.8%). In terms of instruments, we used the development of a sociodemographic questionnaire to collect sociodemographic information and the individual evaluation of the Subjective Social Statute, to self-report questionnaires to evaluate experiences of victimization in adulthood (QUEVIA), to a scale of Welfare Psychological (EBEP) to evaluate indicators of well-being and an inventory of psychopathological symptoms (BSI) to evaluate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
