The problem of induction motor is explained in the introduction of thesis; and their use in cooperation with frequency converters is indicated. In the next chapter analyses the electromagnetic model of initial design of machine; its geometric dimensions and the possibilities of its analysis. Then the analysis of this machine is performed by the analytical method; using the RMxprt computation program; followed by the finite element method which is solved in Ansys Maxwell program. The third chapter is devoted to detailed design of the machine construction; including the presentation of the material for individual part. The fourth part of the thesis deals with the design of a thermal network. The input values of this thermal network are predominantly geometric and electric losses in individual parts of the machine. Based on the created thermal network; the warming of the individual parts of the machine is calculated. Due to the results of this procedure; the control is made for checking that the maximum permitted winding temperature has not been exceeded. The penultimate part deals with the genetic algorithm; its design and practical applicability for optimization with the requirement for minimum machine dimensions. Since we don’t know the exact design of the mechanical parts of the pumps; the last part is devoted to a case study in which is made a comparison of the theoretically achievable dimensions of the machine in relation to the quality of heat losses.

Práce zároveň ukazuje; že zhotovit podobný výrobek není nijak technologicky náročné a může sloužit jako návod; pokud by si někdo chtěl podobné zařízení postavit.; This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of a new generation of charging station in order to create a portable device of compact dimensions. The device is placed in a tool box of size 396 x 296 x 187 mm and load capacity 20 kg. The LiFePO4 battery with a capacity of 512 Wh can be charged from the mains or be connected up to five photovoltaic panels via a junction box. Information about the current status is displayed on the LCD using the buttons. There are output sockets on both sides; namely USB-A; USB-C; 12 V and 230 V. The whole device is designed to be waterproof with a degree of protection IP 54 and has active air cooling. The result of this work is a functional charging station that can get by comparisons with products sold on the market. At the same time; the work shows that making a similar product is not technologically demanding and can serve as a guide if someone would like to build a similar device.

O presente estudo tem como abordagem central o comprometimento organizacional. E tem por objetivo identificar em qual dimensÃo do modelo de conceitualizaÃÃo de Meyer e Allen (afetiva, instrumental e normativa) encontram-se os servidores tÃcnico-administrativos do Instituto Federal de EducaÃÃo CiÃncia e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) â Campus Natal/Central. Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa quantitativa exploratÃria e descritiva, mediante um estudo de caso, coletando-se os dados atravÃs de dois questionÃrios, sendo um sÃcio demogrÃfico com cinco variÃveis e o outro composto de 18 indicadores fechados, todos extraÃdos do modelo de Meyer, Allen e Smith. No Brasil, esse modelo obteve validaÃÃo por Medeiros e Enders, (1997), Ricco (1998) e Bandeira et al (1999). Participaram da pesquisa 208 servidores tÃcnico-administrativos de todos os setores e nÃveis hierÃrquicos. Como retorno, obteve-se 177 questionÃrios, o que corresponde a 85% do total dos questionÃrios entregues. Para analisar os dados, foi utilizada a estatÃstica descritiva e a multivariada, que apontaram a existÃncia do comprometimento organizacional entre os pesquisados nas trÃs dimensÃes (afetiva, instrumental e normativa), evidenciando a predominÃncia da dimensÃo afetiva, que reflete o envolvimento dos servidores baseado em vÃnculos emocionais e na identificaÃÃo com os objetivos organizacionais.

The present study is to approach the central organizational commitment. And aimed to identify which size of model conceptualization of Meyer and Allen (affective, instrumentale and normative) are servers technical-administrative Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) â Campus Natal/Central. To this end, we carried out a quantitative exploratory and descriptive, using a case study, data was collected through two questionnaires, one of five socio-demographic variables and the other composed of 18 indicators closed, all drawn from the model of Meyer Allen and Smith. In Brazil, this model received validation by Medeiros and Enders (1997), Ricco (1998) and Bandeira et al (1999). Study participants technical-administrative 208 servers from all sectors and levels. In return we obtained 177 questionnaires, representing 85% of the total questionnaires distributed. To analyze the data we used descriptive statistics and multivariate, which indicated the existence of organizational commitment among those surveyed in three dimensions (affective, continuance and normative), indicating the predominance of the affective dimension, which reflects the involvement of servers based on emotional ties and identification with organizational goals.

▼ Aim: The aims of the study are to: examine professional development socialization for students who have successfully completed the University of Rochester School of Nursing First Assistant Program from 2005-2009, describe role transition from an RN/APN to a RN First Assistant to identify the personal self, and develop a tool to measure professional development socialization and the personal self for RN First Assistants. Methods: Based upon the professional development socialization for advanced practice nurses as described by Hixon (2000), a professional development socialization model for the RNFA was developed and used as the conceptual framework to guide this mixed methods study. Qualitative data from former RN First Assistant students (n=9) was collected using semi-structured, open-ended questions by means of a sample of convenience. The data from the interviews was used to identify the dimensions of the personal self (items=8) and guide the revision of the quantitative survey. The survey was distributed to former RN First Assistant students who attended the University of Rochester School of Nursing RN First Assistant program from 2005-2009 (n=51). Results: The results from the interviews identified the eight dimensions of the personal self. Survey results revealed a response rate of 36%, (n=18) and showed minimal if any statistical difference for the eight dimensions of the personal self. The lack of statistical significance is most likely due to the small population size. Conclusion: The results from this study are preliminary and reflect the early work for examining professional development socialization and the process of role transition to identify the personal self for RN First Assistants. Although the role of the RN First Assistant has been recognized since 1977 when the American College of Surgeons issued documents supporting RNs as an assistant in surgery (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, December, 2005, para. 1), there remains a lack in the literature that describes the outcomes for RN first assistants in regards to professional development socialization and role transition. This early work is a first of its kind and will contribute to the literature and provide a foundation for the advancement of the role of the RN First Assistant and provide empirical evidence for changes in the AORN educational standards and to the core curriculum used in educational programs. The findings from this study support the role of the RN First Assistant, which will be important as we move forward with health care reform and address the national surgeon shortage to ensure safe quality care for persons with surgical needs.

▼ Esta dissertação tem como objeto de estudo a processualidade histórica do Serviço Social nos institutos federais de educação, ciência e tecnologia em Goiás Instituto Federal de Goiás (IFG) e Instituto Federal Goiano (IF Goiano). Esse processo é analisado por meio da articulação dialética entre as dimensões teórico-metodológica, ético-política e técnico-operativa que fundamentam a prática dos assistentes sociais, concebida como práxis profissional, orientada teoricamente e dotada de uma intencionalidade coletiva, dada pelo Projeto Ético-Político Profissional (Pepp) da categoria. Os institutos federais são apreendidos como espaços sócio-ocupacionais contraditórios, por atenderem aos interesses do capital, e também por fazerem concessões às demandas da classe trabalhadora, ao oferecerem educação profissional e tecnológica como política pública de direito. Com base na análise teórica dos dados empíricos, este estudo identificou possibilidades objetivas e subjetivas de ruptura, dos assistentes sociais, com o histórico traço conservador presente na profissão, bem como da consolidação desse espaço sócio-ocupacional, mediante a construção de uma proposta comum para a área. A adoção do método crítico dialético marxista propiciou o desvelamento da imediaticidade do objeto, por meio da incorporação de categorias analíticas tais como a processualidade, a contradição e a mediação, tendo em vista apreender o movimento do real como totalidade histórica, em suas determinações econômicas, sociopolíticas e culturais. No processo investigativo, foram utilizadas fontes primárias e secundárias mediante aplicação de questionários e entrevistas, análise bibliográfica e documental. Na apreensão das dimensões do Pepp, priorizou-se a análise das ações estratégicas, procedimentos e instrumentos utilizados no planejamento, sistematização, execução e avaliação das ações, bem como a identificação dos princípios, valores e questões éticas que orientam a concepção e prática profissional. Como perspectiva e tendência, este estudo aponta a necessidade de ser explicitada a concepção de Serviço Social, bem como a intenção de ruptura ou a tensão em relação aos equívocos e distorções a respeito de atribuições e competências do Serviço Social, com o objetivo de ampliar as competências profissionais, na transição da condição de executor para a de propositor e coordenador de políticas efetivas que atendam às necessidades sociais tanto de alunos quanto de servidores. Em suma, verificou-se, não obstante os limites e contradições presentes, a existência de perspectivas e avanços rumo à consolidação do Pepp, nesse importante espaço sócio-ocupacional. Aos profissionais compete a incorporação dos avanços teórico-metodológicos, éticopolíticos e técnico-operativos, dimensões apreendidas pela categoria nas últimas décadas, por meio da formação continuada, com o objetivo de realizar o trânsito da análise e da avaliação para o processamento desses fundamentos, com base nas condições objetivas de trabalho e das relações sociais estabelecidas. Magistrska naloga obravnava fenomen akademske prokrastinacije v teoriji in praksi ter raziskuje vloge perfekcionizma, anksioznosti in depresivnosti kot njenih dejavnikov. V opravljeni raziskavi smo preverili ali na slovenskem vzorcu študentov med omenjenimi konstrukti obstajajo pomembne povezave in v kolikšni meri posamezne dimenzije perfekcionizma, anksioznost in depresivnost napovedujejo študentovo akademsko prokrastinacijo. Osrednji interes raziskave je bil vezan na preverjanje moderatorske vloge posameznih dimenzij perfekcionizma v odnosu med stopnjo anksioznosti in depresivnosti pri napovedovanju pojava akademske prokrastinacije. V raziskavi so sodelovali 403 študenti (68.7% žensk) prvega in drugega letnika prve ter prvega in drugega letnika druge bolonjske stopnje različnih fakultet Univerze v Mariboru. Pridobljene podatke smo zbrali s pomočjo lestvice akademske prokrastinacije, lestvice perfekcionizma, lestvice depresivnosti in lestvice anksioznosti. Udeleženci so na slednje odgovarjali pred začetkom ali na koncu predavanj oziroma vaj. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da na slovenskem vzorcu študentov obstajajo statistično pomembne povezave med dimenzijami perfekcionizma in akademsko prokrastinacijo, pri čemer so se določene dimenzije izkazale tudi kot pomembni napovedniki akademske prokrastinacije. Dimenzije perfekcionizma in akademska prokrastinacija se povezujejo tudi z anksioznostjo in depresivnostjo. Slednji obenem napovedujeta akademsko prokrastinacijo. Odnos med stopnjo anksioznosti in akademsko prokrastinacijo moderira dimenzija perfekcionizma osebni standardi, medtem ko odnos med stopnjo depresivnosti in akademsko prokrastinacijo moderirata dimenziji pričakovanja staršev ter organiziranost. Naše ugotovitve so pomembne za obravnavano področje, saj natančneje pojasnjujejo naravo odnosa med spremenljivkami akademske prokrastinacije, dimenzijami perfekcionizma, anksioznostjo in depresivnostjo. Razumevanje narave tega odnosa prispeva k praktičnim implikacijam znotraj akademskega in kliničnega konteksta.

The objective of this master’s thesis was to research the phenomenon of academic procrastination both empirically and theoretically, and to research the roles of anxiety, depression, and the construct of perfectionism as factors of procrastination. Over the course of our research, we analysed a group of Slovenian students to find out whether there are any important connections among these factors, and to ascertain the extent to which anxiety, depression, and specific dimensions of perfectionism can predict the level of a student's academic procrastination. Our main research interest was verifying the roles of specific dimensions of perfectionism as moderators in predicting academic procrastination in conjunction with anxiety and depression levels. ▼ Purpose: The young adult mouse has become the preferred animal model in many areas of ophthalmic research. For this reason, there is a need to validate its use in different experimental settings and to assess its applicability to the human. The purpose of this research was to firstly, evaluate the normal mouse cornea and conjunctiva, secondly to utilize the mouse as an animal model, to investigate structural changes occurring in the dry eye and thirdly to investigate ocular UVR transmittance of this small eye. Methods: A total of 45 animals were utilized for these experiments. Ocular dryness was induced in 16 by administration of scopolamine hydrobromide (0.5mg/0.2ml) QID, and exposure to a dry environment for 5 (DS5) or 10 (DS10) days. After euthanization the corneas or eye lids were fixed either in 2% glutaraldehyde and processed according to an established histology protocol for light- (LM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) or in 10% formalin and embedded in paraffin. Counts or measurements were obtained utilizing well defined specific reference points allowing the observer to conduct accurate and repeatable intra-corneal or intra-conjunctival measurements. Goblet cell density was investigated both on resin and paraffin embedded tissues with a variety stains and histological protocols. UVR transmittance of the whole mouse eye, the cornea and the crystalline lens was also investigated. Immediately after euthanization the mouse eye was placed under a 0.2 mm diameter detecting fiber optic illuminated by an Oceans Optics deuterium/halogen source (DT-MINI-2-GS). The data were recorded and analyzed with an Ocean Optics spectrometer (USB4000) and analyzed in Matlab. Results: The mouse epithelium contributed to 1/3 and the stroma to 2/3 of the total corneal thickness. A statistically significant (P < 0.001) decrease in overall thickness was found in the periphery compared to the center. The central cornea had an average of 50 ± 2 lamellae with an average thickness of 2.1 µm versus 36 ± 3 and 1.8 µm peripherally (P < 0.005). The mouse did not possess an anterior limiting lamina (ALL). Near the junction between the lid margin and the normal palpebral conjunctiva the epithelium had an average thickness of 46 ± 11 µm and 9 ± 2 cell layers, versus 42 ± 7 µm and 8 ± 1 layers in the DS5 (P > 0.05) and 38 ± 6 µm and 7 ± 1 layers in the DS10 (P < 0.05). In the goblet cell populated palpebral region the normal conjunctival epithelium averaged 24 ± 4 µm and was significantly (P < 0.05) thicker than in the DS5 (18 ± 3 µm) and the DS10 (19 ± 3 µm). In the control 43% of the goblet cells had epithelial coverage, compared to 58% for the DS5 and 63% for the DS10 (P < 0.05). Some stains indicated a decreased number of goblet cells in the dry eye (PAS and Alcian blue), while (MUC5AC, histology) did not. Syftet med denna forskningsöversikt är att undersöka hur makt och maktrelationer beskrivs och teoretiseras i forskningen mellan socialsekreterare och klient med fokus på klientens beskrivningar. Denna studie är en integrativ och kvalitativ forskningsöversikt med en abduktiv ansats, där 29 tidigare studier har tematiserats och analyserats med hjälp av maktens fyra ansikten. Studien påvisar att maktbegreppet är ett komplext och svårdefinierat begrepp. Studien visar hur makten kan betraktas utifrån maktens fyra ansikten inom det sociala arbetet i mötet mellan klienten och socialsekreteraren. Vidare diskuteras rekommendationer gällande maktaspekten för det sociala arbetet utifrån olika studier samt rekommendationer för fortsatt forskning. Det är viktigt att klienternas perspektiv, såsom upplevelsen av makt och kontroll, tas upp angående deras möte med de professionella. Eftersom mötet och relationen mellan socialsekreterare och klient är en av de grundläggande faktorerna för ett bra samarbete är studier som denna viktiga att genomföra. Studien påvisar även hur viktigt det är att uppmärksamma maktobalansen, detta för att kunna medföra en medvetenhet hos de professionella inom socialt arbete om den påverkan och upplevelse som klienterna erfar av de ojämlika maktrelationerna.

The purpose of this research review is to examine how power and power relations are described and theorized in research between social worker and client, focusing on the client's descriptions. This study is an integrative and qualitative research review with an abductive approach where 29 previous studies have been thematized and analyzed by means of the four dimensions of power. This study demonstrates that the concept of power is a complex and difficult concept to define. The study shows how power in social work can be viewed with the perspective from the four dimensions of power in the interaction between the client and the social service worker. Furthermore the study discusses different recommendations regarding the power dimensions in social work based on various studies and recommendations for further research. It is important that the clients' perspective, such as the experience of power and control, is noticed regarding their encounters with the professionals. Since the encounter and the relationship between the social service worker and the client are one of the main factors for a good collaboration studies like these are important to conduct. The study also shows the importance of bringing awareness to the imbalance of power, to thenceforth bring awareness to the professionals of social work about the impact and experience which clients experience in unequal power relations.

The bookstores can not survive for this low expense. The image of the traditional bookstores is bad. Because of the lighting is not suffice, space too crowd, passage too narrow. Itâs a chaos in the bookstore. Since Eslite was built in 1989 the situation had been changed. The founder attempted to awake the elite of society joined the dream for reading quality. It never shifts for sixteen years. Eslite was depended on organizational culture. The organizational culture is the base of corporation. The organizational culture affects the behavior of employ and organizational performance. In this thesis chooses Eslite as the researching objects to discuss the organizational culture, the characteristics of organizational culture, the dimensions of organizational culture and how to building the organizational culture. After discussed with Eslite management employees and analyzed the collecting data, we get the following resultsï¼ 1.The characteristics of Esliteï¼s organizational culture includes customers , space quality, good ,love, beauty and creation, and the dimensions of Esliteï¼s organizational culture includes competitive circumstance, visible artifacts, a companyï¼s underlying values and beliefs and the translation of those values and beliefs into learned behaviour. 2.The effects of Esliteï¼s organizational culture includes the founderï¼s idea,the locations, customers , expense habit and space. The organizational culture will be different. 3.The organizational culture made Eslite became the powerful and famous bookstore in Taiwan, the image is better than before, the performance is increase, the customerï¼s loyalty very high and became the buyer of the books . 4.The methods for building the organizational culture includes internal publication, socialize processes, training, recruitment, reward and punishment, communication and sharing , the events for mindset expression. ▼ The culture demonstrates itself in the shared values, attitudes, beliefs, norms and behaviours of people and it is distinguished from each other by differences in those shared meanings of people interacting. As culture is varied across countries, leadership styles are also varied across countries and are not exercised in the same way across different cultures. They are imported in accordance with the cultural environment in which they are perceived. Therefore, understanding the culture is significant in order to explain preferences of leaders concerning leadership styles. The main purpose of the present dissertation is to provide an overview of the relationship between Turkish culture and the way in which leadership is exercised by Turkish female leaders. The present study is completed in three steps in order to demonstrate that the existing relationship between the Turkish culture and leadership styles of female leaders in Turkey. In the first step, the study examined what culture is, what dimensions of the national culture are, what leadership is and how leadership styles are culturally-linked. In the second step, the paper investigated how female leaders perceive and exercise different leadership styles across different cultures. In the third step, the study researched what cornerstones of Turkish culture and how anticipated leadership styles of Turkish female leaders are shaped by Turkish culture. The study followed a qualitative research approach based on the grounded theory. Ten female leaders coming from different backgrounds were interviewed in order to draw a holistic picture of the relationship between Turkish cultural values and leadership styles of Turkish female leaders. The findings of the study indicate that the Turkish culture has an influence on leadership styles of Turkish female leaders. According to the results, while Islamic values have no significant impact on leadership behaviours of female leaders, such cultural attributes as collectivism, high power distance, uncertainty avoidance and paternalism have a huge impact on leadership styles of Turkish female leaders. The research examined only leadership styles of Turkish female leaders. Therefore, this study recommends a future research which will investigate leadership styles of Turkish males in order to understand whether gender has also an effect on leadership styles of Turkish leaders.

V predstavljeni magistrski nalogi smo v skladu z obstoječimi teoretskimi konstrukti avtorjev Hewitta in Fletta (1991) ter Frosta s sodelavci (1990) preverjali izraženost perfekcionističnih teženj v raziskavo vključenih študentih medicine (N=74). Razen izraženosti perfekcionizma smo v zajetem vzorcu študentov preverjali tudi povezave pojava s stopnjo samoučinkovitost, kot jo opredeljujeta avtorja Schwarzer in Jerusalem (1981

Schwarzer in Jerusalem, 2007), pa tudi z zdravjem povezanih navad in življenjskega sloga, kot jih opredeljujejo avtorji Wilson s sodelavci (1984) oziroma Dizeo, Thayasivamin in Sledjevski (2004). V raziskavo, ki smo jo opravljali v letu 2018, smo vključili študente drugega letnika študija na mariborski medicinski fakulteti. Analiza rezultatov je pokazala, da zajeti vzorec študentov medicine izkazuje predvsem t.i. nase usmerjen perfekcionizem, sledijo pa karakteristike, ki jih po avtorjih Hewittu in Flettu predstavlja perfekcionizem, usmerjen na druge ter nato še t.i. socialno predpisan perfekcionizem. Prevladujejo posamezniki z visoko postavljenimi standardi, s težko uresničljivi zahtevami in pričakovanji do sebe, ki ob morebitnih neuspehih postanejo kritični do sebe, obtožujejo pa tudi druge osebe in lahko postanejo celo odkrito odklonilni ali celo sovražni do drugih (Hewitt in Flett, 1991). Najmanj, glede na drugi dve obliki perfekcionizma, je v zajetem vzorcu izražen socialno predpisan perfekcionizem – ki se navadno po imenovanih avtorjih kaže v strahu pred tujo kritiko in posameznike navadno vodi k neprilagojenim oblikam perfekcionizma. So se pa prav v tem pokazale pomembne razlike med spoloma. Pri upoštevanju Frostovega teoretskega modela študija prikazuje, da so študetni medicine v primerjavi s študentkami dovzetnejši za strahove pred napakami in neuspehom v socialnem okolju, v katerem se želijo za vsako ceno bolj izkazati in potrditi, pri tem imajo večje pritiske, zlasti zaradi višje postavljenih pričakovanj in zahtev njihovih staršev. Vse našteto jih izpostavlja k neprilagojenim oblikam perfekcionizma, posledično pa k prevladi negativnih afektov in celo k stanjem depresije (Frost idr., 1993). Ugotovili pa smo tudi, da obstaja povezava med dimenzijami perfekcionizma, splošno samoučinkovitostjo in življenjskim slogom, pri čemer se je splošna samoučinkovitost pokazala kot najpomembnejši napovednik življenjskega sloga.

A doença oncológica apresenta-se como a segunda causa mais frequente de morte em Portugal (morreram 25758 pessoas, em 2012), com tendência a tornar-se a principal causa (INE, 2014). Na fase terminal da doença, os Cuidados Paliativos (CP) surgem com o objetivo de melhorar a qualidade de vida dos doentes e famílias que enfrentam uma doença associada com o risco de vida, através da prevenção e alívio do sofrimento por meio da identificação, avaliação e tratamento da dor e outros problemas físicos, psicossociais e espirituais (OMS, 2002). A intervenção emocional nestas populações em situação de doença avançada, a sua eficácia, os instrumentos de avaliação e investigação, apresentam-se pouco exploradas com apenas algumas décadas de história (Pujol, 2003). Assim o presente estudo pretende ser um contributo para colmatar as lacunas na área da intervenção psicológica na psico-oncologia, partindo das seguintes questões de investigação: “Como descrevem os doentes a vivência emocional da doença oncológica?” e “Que dimensões da doença oncológica estão associadas à vivência emocional?” Foram realizadas 7 entrevistas, orientadas por um guião semiestruturado, no Serviço dos CP a pessoas com doença oncológica avançada. A análise dos dados foi inspirada nos princípios da Grounded theory e recorreu ao Software Nvivo9. Os resultados demonstraram que a doença oncológica apresenta impacto emocional negativo (dependência) e positivo (união do casal) no doente. Ao longo do percurso da doença, podemos verificar variações emocionais de acordo com diferentes fases, desde a procura do diagnóstico até à fase terminal, apresentando vários sentimentos como tristeza, medo e derrota. Verificamos que esta vivência é influenciada por vários elementos, como: o conhecimento da doença, a forma como a enfrenta, a perceção da gravidade, falta de controlo, vulnerabilidade, dependência, expetativas de sobrevivência e significados sobre a doença. Deste modo, a vivência emocional é influenciada pela dimensão física, afetiva/relacional, social, económica, existencial e espiritual.

The oncological disease is the second leading cause of death in Portugal (25758 Portuguese people died in 2012) and tends to become the leading cause (INE, 2014). In the terminal stage of the cancer, Palliative Care arises with the purpose of improving the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problem associated with life-threatening illness, through the prevention and relief of suffering by means of identification, assessment and treatment of pain and other physical, psychosocial and spiritual problems (WHO, 2002). Kandidatų požiūriai į įvairius atrankos metodus traukia organizacinės ir darbo psichologijos atstovų dėmesį dėl įvairių priežasčių, viena svarbiausių jų – tai, jog individų požiūriai į personalo atrankos metodus įtakoja jų vėlesnį elgesį. Ir nors tyrimų atlikta skirtingose šalyse nemažai, tačiau jokių duomenų nerandama Lietuvos ir Švedijos imtims. Šiame darbe iškeliamas tikslas - ištirti lietuvių studentų, lietuvių darbuotojų ir švedų studentų požiūrį į personalo atrankos metodus. Tiriamieji (197 studentai ir 86 darbuotojai) pildė Steiner ir Gilliland (1996) klausimyną, kurį sudaro trumpi 10 atrankos metodų aprašymai ir teiginiai apie šių metodų teisingumą. Rezultatai parodė, jog darbo pavyzdžio testai vertinami kaip teisingiausias personalo atrankos metodas lietuvių imtyje. Švedų imtyje teisingiausi personalo atrankos metodai yra šie: darbo pavyzdžio testai, interviu, gyvenimo aprašymas, asmeninės rekomendacijos. Lietuviai studentai palankiau vertina gebėjimų testų, sąžiningumo testų teisingumą nei švedai studentai, tačiau švedai studentai palankiau nei lietuviai studentai vertina interviu, gyvenimo aprašymą, asmenines rekomendacijas ir asmenines pažintis. Prasčiausiai teisingumo atžvilgiu lietuviai vertina asmenines pažintis ir grafologiją, o švedų grupėje vien tik grafologija vertinama kaip mažiausiai teisinga personalo atrankos procedūra. Lietuviai darbuotojai asmeninių rekomendacijų, asmeninių pažinčių ir grafologijos teisingumą vertina palankiau nei lietuviai studentai.... [toliau žr. visą tekstą]

Candidates’ attitudes towards various personnel selection methods get attention of organizational and work psychology specialists because of various reasons. The most important reason is that individuals’ attitudes towards personnel selection methods influence their latter behavior. Although there is a substantial amount of studies carried out in different countries, yet there is no data for Lithuanian and Swedish samples. The aim of current study is to analyze the attitudes towards personnel selection methods among Lithuanian students, Lithuanian employees and Swedish students. Participants of the study (197 students and 86 employees) filled in the questionnaire, which includes short descriptions of 10 personnel selection methods as well as items about fairness of these methods. According to the results of the study, work-sample tests are ranked as the fairest personnel selection method in Lithuanian sample. The fairest personnel selection methods in Swedish sample are work-sample tests, interview, resumes, and personal references. Lithuanian students rank the fairness of written ability test and honesty test more favorably than Swedish students, but Swedish students tend to rank more favorably interview, resumes, personal references and personal contacts. Personal contacts and graphology were ranked the lowest on fairness dimension in Lithuanian sample, and Swedes ranked only graphology as the least fair personnel selection method. Namen raziskave je ugotoviti, ali je med šolskima letoma 2007/2008 in 2016/2017 prišlo do sprememb v gibalnih sposobnostih in telesnih razsežnostih v populaciji slovenskih 10-letnikov in 10-letnic. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih 170.562 otrok, od tega 87.652 fantov in 82.910 deklet. Podatke o gibalnih sposobnostih in telesnih razsežnostih smo pridobili z mersko baterijo športnovzgojni karton. Rezultate merjenj športnovzgojnega kartona smo pridobili in uporabili z dovoljenjem skrbnika podatkov, Fakultete za šport v Ljubljani. Podatke smo obdelali z računalniškim programom SPSS Statistic 21.0 v okolju Windows na Fakulteti za šport v Ljubljani. Rezultati raziskave kažejo, da se pri populaciji slovenskih četrtošolcev in četrtošolk v desetletnem obdobju kaže pozitivni trend v posameznih parametrih telesnih razsežnosti in gibalnih sposobnosti. Telesna teža učencev se manjša, opazen pa je pozitivni prirast telesne višine. Vrednost kožne gube nadlahti, ki meri količino podkožnega maščevja, se niža. Rezultati merskih nalog, ki merijo gibalne sposobnosti, kažejo, da je v obdobju med letoma 2008 in 2017 pri večini od njih prišlo do izboljšanja. Merske naloge, kot so dotikanje plošč z roko, premagovanje ovir nazaj, dviganje trupa v 60 s, vesa v zgibi, tek na 60 in 600 m, so pokazale izboljšanje rezultatov tako pri dekletih kot fantih. Rezultati predklona na klopci kažejo izboljšanje pri dekletih, medtem ko pri fantih ostajajo na enaki ravni. Pri skoku v daljino je v desetih letih prišlo do sprememb rezultatov v negativno smer. Trend izboljševanja rezultatov je vsekakor posledica izboljšanja materialnih pogojev za športno vzgojo, kakovosti učnih načrtov in povečanje števila ur športne vzgoje v okviru interventnih programov, kot je Zdrav življenjski slog.

The main aim of research study objective was to determine whether there were any changes in physical fitness and physical dimensions in the period between the school years 2007/2008 and 2016/2017 in the population of Slovenian ten year-old boys and girls. There were 170,562 children included in the study, of which 87,652 boys and 82,910 girls. Data on physical fitness and physical dimensions were obtained with the SLOfit test battery. The results of the measurements of the SLOfit test battery were obtained and used with the permission of the data administrator at the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana. The data were processed with the SPSS Statistic 21.0 computer program in the Windows environment at the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana. The results of the research over a decade indicated a positive trend in individual parameters of physical dimensions and physical fitness in the population of Slovenian fourth graders. The body mass of the pupils decreases in the correlation of the positive increase of the average body height. The triceps skinfold value, which measures the amount of subcutaneous fat, is lower. Esta investigação caracteriza-se por ser estudo qualitativo que buscou compreender quais as características e as evidências da alfabetização científica presentes na ação educativa O Museu Vai à Praia, iniciativa desenvolvida pelo Museu de Astronomia e Ciências Afins (MAST) que leva atividades do museu para a praia durante o verão. Os dados deste estudo foram coletados durante o mês de março de 2013, no Rio de Janeiro e em três praias diferentes da cidade de Niterói, contemplando, além de entrevistas com os conceptores da ação educativa e com o público espontâneo, a observação da ação e a análise documental do projeto. A revisão da literatura referente à alfabetização científica e à educação em museus possibilitou o desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta de análise composta de dimensões e seus respectivos indicadores, usados para análise de dois importantes aspectos do O Museu Vai à Praia: as intenções do programa nos anos 1980 e em 2013 e a experiência do púbico na sua quinta edição. Os resultados revelam que, apesar de o projeto não ter sido elaborado na perspectiva da Alfabetização Científica (AC), ela contempla todas as dimensões propostas: Científica, Interface Ciência e Sociedade, Institucional e Afetiva, além da maioria dos indicadores de cada uma das dimensões. Mesmo nem todos os indicadores estando explicitados, consideramos que a presença reiterada de todas as dimensões denota que, desde sua origem, os objetivos da ação O Museu Vai à Praia dialogam com as finalidades da alfabetização científica. A ausência de alguns dos indicadores foi problematizada, assim como foram discutidas as mudanças nas ênfases de algumas dimensões ocorridas entre os anos 1980 e 2013, com a finalidade de promover uma análise crítica e uma reflexão sobre o papel da ação O Museu Vai à Praia na perspectiva da AC. Ao se defender que a AC é um processo que ocorre ao longo da vida, avaliamos que as ações educativas desenvolvidas pelos museus de ciências possuem grande potencial para sua promoção e que tais ações, se planejadas com base nas dimensões e nos indicadores propostos, podem se mostrar como um recurso fundamental para a maior compreensão da ciência e de sua relação com a sociedade.

▼ As globalization is affecting all aspects of civilization in the first decade of the 21st century, global higher education is on the cusp of a transformation period. University students from Mainland China encounter a great many challenges in cross-cultural communications while studying in Western countries like Canada. This thesis explores and analyzes the challenges that Chinese international university graduate students (CIUGSs) at Master’s level are encountering in Canadian Anglophone classrooms by identifying the challenges, causes of these challenges and the impacts of these challenges. I address the above three research questions through the lens of a multi-method qualitative approach that includes participant observation, individual interviews and a study of my own experiences. To answer the above three research questions, the six-dimensions of culture (Hofstede, Hofstede, & Minkov, 2010) and the theory of capital (Bourdieu,1986) are employed to analyze the findings. The findings of this study identify that different features of the six-dimensions of culture between Canada and Mainland China cause considerable challenges for CIUGSs in participating in class activities. Furthermore, this study aligns with five of the six-dimensions but does not agree with the judgment of Hofstede et al. (2010), which categorized Chinese culture as having weak uncertainty avoidance. Additionally, it is asserted that the lack of a decent quality of various forms of Canadian capital generates difficulties for CIUGSs and may engender inequity in Canadian classrooms. This study indicates that Chinese features in the six-dimensions of culture engender obstacles for CIUGSs in obtaining Canadian capitals. To better participate in cross-cultural communications in Canadian classrooms, CIUGSs have to obtain sufficient quality of Canadian forms of capital, in this way, their Canadian habitus is cultivated gradually. Eventually their cultural attributes in the six-dimensions can be altered to approach Canadian style and, as a result, their performance in class activities can be enhanced. To better help CIUGSs to improve their performance in Canadian university Anglophone classrooms, suggestions for CIUGSs, instructors and university administrators are provided in this study. ▼ In the highly competitive environment businesses invest big amounts of money into the new product development. New product success potentially depends on different factors among which salespeople play an important role. The aim of this paper is to explore the potential link between salespeople’s personality, motivation to sell new products and performance in selling new products. Based on the theoretical background of the Big Five personality dimensions, motivation and selling performance hypotheses were formulated and tested using statistical methods of correlation and regression analysis. The data was collected within one technologically intensive organization – ABB AB in Sweden using online web questionnaire and self-assessment measurements. Total investigation was conducted among organization’s salesforce. The findings confirm the importance of salesperson’s personality empirically showing that the latter significantly predicts both motivation and performance in selling new products. From all the Big Five Extraversion was confirmed to be the most important predictor of both motivation and performance in selling new products. Extraversion was found positively related with both motivation and performance in selling new products. Salespeople scoring high in Extraversion and especially possessing such characteristics as confident, energetic and sociable tend to be more motivated to sell new products and show higher performance results. Other personality dimensions such as Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness to experience complexly approached are not proved to be significantly related neither with motivation nor performance in selling new products. The results are explained by the extreme importance of Extraversion in new product selling situation which analyzing in combination with the other personality dimensions suppresses the others. Finding regarding controlling for certain demographical characteristics of salespeople reveal that performance in selling new products is determined by selling experience. Salespeople’s age is not proved to be significantly related neither with motivation nor performance in selling new products. Findings regarding salespeople’s gender though proposing that males are more motivated to sell new products cannot be generalized due to the study limitations.

▼ We examine 4 + 1-dimensional field theories exhibiting both 3 + 1-dimensional standard model phenomenology and type 2 Randall-Sundrum gravity on a dynamically-generated thick brane. We consider problems with finding and guaranteeing the stability of thick brane solutions, and with the non-renormalizability of Yang-Mills gauge theory in 4 + 1-dimensions. This motivates us to take a more systematic approach to gauge theories and to study a richer variety of field theories beyond standard Yang-Mills gauge theories. This thesis comes in three parts. In the first part we explicitly construct a model featuring a single infinite extra dimension and an SO(10) grand unified theory, where standard model phenomenology is recovered on a 3 + 1-dimensional domain-wall brane topological defect. A 3 + 1-dimensional graviton and all standard model particles are dynamically localized to the brane. To localize gauge fields we invoke an analogue of the Dvali-Shifman mechanism. Similarly 3 + 1-dimensional left chiral fermions and effective 3 + 1-dimensional general relativity are recovered via the split fermion mechanism, and a Randall-Sundrum type 2 warped metric, respectively. We prove that this model is stable, respectively unstable, for two different regimes of free parameters in the dynamical equations. In the second part we use Lifshitz anisotropic scaling to fix inherent problems with the non-renormalizability of 4 + 1-dimensional Yang-Mills gauge theories. Here we address problems with the Dvali-Shifman mechanism by paving the way to a 4 + 1-dimensional domain-wall brane model in a Lifshitz field theory with critical exponent z = 2. We extend our analysis to look at specific examples of finite energy, stable, static topological defects in 3 + 1-dimensional Lifshitz field theories with critical exponent z = 2. These defects are forbidden in standard relativistic field theories by Derrick’s theorem. As such the observation of cosmic relics would be a hallmark signature of the breakdown of Lorentz invariance at short distances. In the final part of this thesis we consider grand unified theories (GUTs). These theories are important to a wide range of models in this thesis. We consider the set of vacuum expectation values which break the GUT to differently embedded isomorphic copies of a subgroup H. We define and characterize the relationship between these vacuum expectation values.

The aim of the present thesis is to focus on the development of the legal notion of the “CHILD” ever since 1975, when the protection of childhood was independently institutionalized in the hellenic constitutional text up to the present day- that is seventeen years after the signature of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The thesis is largerly based on a comparative study of foreign legal order. It is plausible to speak of a modernized and coherent child protection system in Greece and, furthermore, of the transition from the traditional “Minor’s Law” to the modern “Law of the Child”? In the context of the present thesis it was attested that child protection on Greece has been characterized by the following particularity: on one hand, it was theoretically developed, emerging as an independent legal discipline built around the notion of the “interest of the child”, as formed under the decisive influence of the Convention. On the other hand, objective factors, mainly related to material conditions, institutional malfunctions and the inherent interdisciplinary character of the Law of the Child led inevitably to the unequal and promiscuous development of the existing institutional framework of the protection of the Child within the greek society. The scientific autonomy of Children Law keeps step with the full acceptance of the Convention, which, along with the substantial and necessary interventions of the protection of the State, is an exigency on the way to build a coherent system of the protection of the Child in the 21st century in Greece. Methodology: 1. Comparative study of the greek social and legal reality to the foreign legal and juridicial order. 2. Record and survey of both hellenic and foreign legislation and jurisprudence 3. Evaluation of evidence, based on statistical analysis 4. Analysis of independent authorities, based on rulings and CRC reports.

_Η επιδίωξη της εν λόγω διατριβής έγκειται στο να ερευνήσει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο εξελίχθηκε η εννοιολόγηση του παιδιού_από το 1975, οπότε κατοχυρώνεται αυτοτελώς η προστασία της παιδικής ηλικίας στο ελληνικό συνταγματικό κείμενο, μέχρι σήμερα, δηλαδή 17 χρόνια μετά την υπογραφή της ΔΣΔΠ, υπό το πρίσμα, πάντα, μιας συγκριτικής προσέγγισης με αλλοδαπές έννομες τάξεις. Μπορεί να γίνει λόγος για ένα εκσυγχρονισμένο και συνεκτικό σύστημα προστασίας του παιδιού στη χώρα μας, δηλαδή για τη μετάβαση από το παραδοσιακό Δίκαιο των Ανηλίκων στο σύγχρονο Δίκαιο του Παιδιού; Στο πλαίσιο της παρούσης διατριβή διαπιστώθηκε πως η προστασία του παιδιού στην Ελλάδα χαρακτηρίζεται από την ακόλουθη ιδιοτυπία: από τη μια μεριά εξελίσσεται θεωρητικά και ανάγεται σε αυτοτελή κλάδο με κεντρική έννοια αυτή του συμφέροντος του παιδιού, όπως διαμορφώνεται υπό την καταλυτική επίδραση της ΔΣΔΠ. ▼ L'objectif de cette étude est de développer un modèle d'information pour représenter les besoins des personnes dans les organismes de bienfaisance de l'Arabie Saoudite. La population cible sont les organismes de bienfaisance qui s'intéressent à la collecte et à la distribution des dons à leurs électeurs.Le but de cette étude est atteint par trois objectifs ; Le premier objectif est d'identifier l'état actuel de l'utilisation des systèmes d'information dans le secteur des organismes de bienfaisance. Le deuxième objectif est d'identifier les besoins d'information de ces organismes de charité à l'égard de leurs bénéficiaires.. En utilisant la théorie des sens et son ensemble de méthodes, nous avons pu comprendre les besoins informatiques du point de vue des utilisateurs eux-mêmes. Le troisième objectif est de faire correspondre les besoins résultant des besoins d'information des organismes de charité avec les dimensions des besoins de développement humain par Narayan et al., (2000) qui a été étudié pour informer le rapport sur le Développement Mondial de la Pauvreté et du Développement. Cette étude est significative parce qu'elle n'a pas été menée dans cette échelle ou cette portée avant, et elle fournit une image claire de l'état actuel de l'utilisation des systèmes d'information dans le secteur, elle fournit également un modèle de recherche éclairé qui aidera à mieux répondre aux besoins des personnes pauvres inscrites dans ces organismes de bienfaisance. Le modèle de besoins d'information résultant de cette étude fournit un élément précieux pour un système d'information futur, basé sur des données de recherche visant à améliorer l'efficacité, la fiabilité et la responsabilité dans la gestion des dons pour le bien-être du constituant.Les données de cette recherche ont été recueillies au moyen de deux études, la première étude a porté sur l'ensemble de la population d'organismes de bienfaisance par le biais d'un sondage électronique et le nombre de cas au final était de 83 organismes de bienfaisance. Cette étude visait à étudier l'état actuel de l'utilisation des systèmes d'information dans les organismes de bienfaisance, les interrogés ont répondu à 18 questions divisées en quatre sections. La première section portait sur le profil de l'organisation. La deuxième concerne les systèmes d'information pour les bénéficiaires. et les dons. La troisième concerne les bénéficiaires. Le quatrième, était une information supplémentaire sur l'adaptation des SI futurs. La deuxième étude a été une entrevue avec 15 organismes de bienfaisance de la région de Riyad. Ils comprenaient des organismes de bienfaisance masculins et féminins, et des organismes de bienfaisance de différentes localités comme le village et la petite ville. ▼ Demografske spremebe z rastjo števila starejšega prebivalstva ustvarjajo ogromne tržne priložnosti za oblačilno industrijo. Starejši kupci se že več kot destletje soočajo z izzivi, da na trgu vnaprej izdelanih oblačil najdejo izdelke ustrezne velikosti in stila, ki so udobna in se ustrezno prilegajo obliki telesa. Spremembe, ki nastajajo s starostjo, kot so anatomske, fiziološke, sociološke, ekonomske in okoljske, lahko vplivajo na preference starejših ljudeh glede prileganja oblačil. Starejši želijo kakovostna oblačila, ki zagotavljajo lep videz in omogočajo maksimalno udobnost med nošenjem. Tehnologije za računalniško antropometrijo in CAD-sistemi za oblikovanje oblačil lahko zagotovijo koristne informacije, kako izboljšati prileganja oblačila obliki telesa starejših kupcev. Glavni namen magistskega dela je bil, poiskati ustrezno rešitev, ki bo omogočila enostaven nakup oblačil, ki po svojih funkcionalnih in estetskih lastnostih odgovarjajo potrebam in željam starejših kupcev. Namen je bil tudi raziskati nakupovalne navade in želje starejših kupcev. Cilj magistrskega dela je ugotoviti, ali imajo starejši ljudi težave pri nakupovanju oblačil v trgovini (tradicionalni in/ali spletni) in pri šivilji. Cilj je bil tudi ugotoviti, ali so starejši zainteresirani za nakup oblačila po meri brez večkratnega pomerjanja s pomočjo napredne tehnologije oziroma programske opreme. Naslednji cilj magistrskega dela je ugotoviti, ali prihaja do odstopanja pri telesnih merah, ko se morajo stranke izmeriti same v primerjavi z merami, ki jih vzame šivilja. Zadnji cilj magistrskega dela je bil pridobiti kakovostne podatke o možnostih uporabe naprednih tehnologij pri spletnem nakupovanju, katere smo s pomočjo različnih metod analizirali ter ugotovili, katere napredne tehnologije so najbolj primerne za nakupovanje oblačila po meri pri starejših ljudeh. V ta namen smo najprej s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika zbrali podatke in jih analizirali s pomočjo opisne statistike in faktorske analize. Nato smo izvedli eksperiment, v katerem so sodelovale starejše ženske, stare 55 let in več. Testiranke eksperimenta so najprej same izmerile svoje telesne mere za izdelavo oblačila. Pred merjenjem niso dobile nikakršnih navodil za pravilno merjenje. Nato je šivilja izmerila telesne mere testiranki. Testiranke in šivilja so uporabljale enak merilni trak ter so bile oblečene v enaka oblačila, ko so se merile same in ko jih je merila šivilja. Rezultati so pokazali, da imajo starejši od 55 let težave, da najdejo kakovostna oblačila ustrezne velikosti, v katerih se počutijo udobno. Zaradi spremembe telesne višine, teže ter mišičnih in kostnih deformacij, imajo starejši kupci najpogostejše težave pri izbiri hlač. Zato jim mora kupljeno oblačilo, preden ga oblečejo, šivilja skrajšati ali zožiti oziroma razširiti. Ugotovili smo, da je večina anketirancev zainteresirana za nakup oblačila po meri brez večkratnega pomerjanja na internetu. ▼ The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) advocate K-12 three dimensional (3D) learning, which necessitates a deeper understanding of science and engineering through the weaving of the three NGSS dimensions of practices, core ideas, and crosscutting concepts. Currently, little is known about the kinds of experiences science teachers have making sense of the NGSS as they plan and teach to support 3D learning. This two-phased, qualitative case-study investigated the experience of one middle school science teacher working to understand and to weave the three NGSS dimensions into an existing anti-drug health unit. Data analysis focused on interviews, classroom observations, and artifacts. Findings showed: (a) the teacher was uncertain about which NGSS practice/set of practices might best support 3D learning; (b) she used the NGSS practices in limited ways; (c) she was unclear about the significance of the NGSS crosscutting concepts; and (d) the weaving of the NGSS dimensions was a process that occurred in various ways (teacher-led, student-led, over multiple days). These findings suggest that science teachers will need multi-level support to utilize the NGSS dimensions. Developing teacher proficiency in 3D teaching is likely an alternating process. That is, as science teachers develop an understanding of the process of weaving and identifying instances of weaving they will likely gain proficiency in the three NGSS dimensions and their constituent parts and vice versa. To achieve this type of professional learning, teacher-to-teacher peer support within the context of the classroom might be beneficial for science teachers’ undertaking of the NGSS. The study also found various ways in which the teacher used socio-scientific issues and the students’ backgrounds and experiences to contextualize the science ideas as a way to support 3D learning. The use of contextualization along with the NGSS within a health unit provides a unique opportunity to investigate how the NGSS applies to health, an area not explicitly addressed in the NGSS. Engaging students with elements of an applied science, like health, can serve as a vehicle that has relevance for students’ lives in addition to being directly related to many ideas and phenomena highlighted in the NGSS.
