1. Blind, Niklas. Analysis of an engine frame subjected to large imbalance loads.

This master thesis deals with the load carrying capability of a turbine exhaust case subjected to large imbalance loads. The event is transient dynamic to its nature and displays non-linear features such as plasticity and large deflections. The main result sought is the ultimate load to which structural integrity can be guaranteed. Results are compared between dynamic and quasi-static analyses and the methods are evaluated. The ability to overcome computational difficulties and the solver time are compared between three finite element solvers. Abaqus/Explicit is compared to LS-DYNA in dynamic analysis and Abaqus/Standard is compared to ANSYS in quasi-static analysis. The results show consistency between analysis methods and solvers. LS-DYNA is faster than Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/Standard is faster than ANSYS for the simulations performed in this thesis.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem vznětových motoru TATRA od jejich vzniku až po současnost. Je zaměřena na konstrukci jednotlivých motorů a rozdílnost konstrukce při jejich vývoji. Podává přehled o vlastní konstrukci jednotlivých motorů a jejich technických řešeních. Srovnává konstrukční řešení jednotlivých motorů v časové posloupnosti jejich vzniku a následné výroby Informuje o složení a funkci jednotlivých soustav motorů, změnách v jejich složení a modernizaci. Uvádí příklady odlišností v jednotlivých součástech motorů. Vytváří náhled na problematiku konstrukce motoru jako celku i jednotlivých jeho soustav a následné srovnání vlivu motorů na životní prostředí. Vysvětluje základní pojmy z oblasti konstrukce vznětových motorů a jejich jednotlivých komponentů. Cílem práce je poskytnutí přehledu jednotlivých konstrukčních řešení motorů TATRA v závislosti na čase jejich vzniku a požadavku kladených na vznětové motory v dnešní době.; The bachelor thesis deals with the development of diesel engine TATRA from their inception to the present. It focuse on the construction of engines and construction of the disparity of their development. Gives an overview of their own construction of engines and their technical solutions. Compares the structural design of each engine in a chronological sequence of their formation and subsequent production. Informs on the composition and function of individual systems engines, changes in their composition and modernization. Provides examples of differences in the various engine components. Creating insight on the issue of engine construction as a whole and each of its systems and subsequent comparison of the impact of engines on the environment. Explains the basic concepts from the construction of diesel engines and their components. The theses target is to provide an overview of construction solutions of TATRA engines, depending on the time of their inception and requirements for diesel engines today.
