新しい炎症マーカーであるPentaxin 3 (PTX3)はC-reactive protein (CRP)も属するPentraxinsuperfamilyの1つである。PTX3は炎症に速やかに反応し、様々な細胞から産生されるため、肝臓から産生されるCRPよりも鋭敏で直接的な炎症マーカーになりえるのではないかと期待されている。心不全の約50%が拡張障害によるものといわれており、今後重要視されてくると思われる。しかし、拡張障害による心不全における炎症マーカーの検討は十分なされていない。そこで、拡張障害性心不全におけるPTX3の臨床的な有用性や拡張障害とPTX3の関係について検討した。
