繊維強化複合材料は、強化材料、樹脂、およびこれらから形成される界面の3つの構成要素より構成されているが、単一の繊維および樹脂からなる複合材料では発現できない物性を材料に付与するため、2種類以上の繊維または樹脂を組み合わせた材料であるハイブリッド複合材料に関して数多くの研究がなされている。ハイブリッド化により、相互に短所を補い、それぞれの長所を生かすことによる高機能化が期待される。ハイブリッド化技術に関しては、“繊維ハイブリッド”、“樹脂ハイブリッド”、“界面ハイブリッド”に関する視点から研究例が報告されている。それぞれ、1つの複合材料中に、“複数の強化繊維を使用した材料”、“複数のマトリックス樹脂を使用した材料”、“異なる表面処理を有する複数の繊維を組み合わせた材料”と定義されている。本論文では、“繊維ハイブリッド”の定義を、さらに、“繊維物性/繊維配置/繊維構造”ハイブリッドの3つの概念に拡張することを提案する。“繊維物性ハイブリッド”、“繊維配置ハイブリッド”、“繊維構造ハイブリッド”をそれぞれ、1つの複合材料中に、“特性の異なる繊維材料を併用した材料”、“材料の組み合わせおよび比率を変更せずに、異なる繊維材料同士の相対位置を変更した材料”、“同じ繊維材料を使用しているが、繊度や撚糸状態等、構造が異なる繊維材料を併用した材料”と定義する。さらに、複合材料においては強化形態を積層して使用することから、新たな概念として“層間ハイブリッド”を提案した。“層間ハイブリッド”とは、1つの複合材料中において、“各層に同じ材料を使用しているが、構造や物性が異なる層間を併用した材料”と定義する。繊維加工品(織物、編物、組物)を強化形態としたハイブリッド複合材料(以下、ハイブリッドテキスタイル複合材料と表記する)は、異なる種類の繊維、樹脂、表面処理、テキスタイル構造を使用することにより、上記に定義した様々な概念のハイブリッド化が実現可能であり、要求性能に応じた複合材料が自由に設計できる。しかしながら、異なる特性や構造を有する繊維や樹脂などを用いることによって、組み合わせが数多く存在し、微視的損傷の進展挙動や力学的特性が異なり、設計が困難である。そこで、ハイブリッドテキスタイル複合材料の設計手法を確立することが必要とされており、数値解析手法を用いて設計を支援することは有効であると考えられる。本論文では、ハイブリッドテキスタイル複合材料の破壊進展挙動および力学的特性を解明すること、および、設計指針を構築することを目的とし、テキスタイルの幾何学的形状、および、繊維束内界面でのトランスバースクラックや繊維破壊、繊維束間界面でのはく離等の微視的損傷を考慮した解析モデルおよび手法を確立する。以下に、各章の構成を示す。第2章では、テキスタイル複合材料の力学的挙動解析に関する研究開発動向について述べた。第3章では、“繊維物性ハイブリッド複合材料” の力学的挙動を予測する解析手法を確立した。本章では、使用済みのジュート繊維織物を強化基材とした繊維物性ハイブリッド織物複合材料を解析対象とした。ロッド状一方向繊維強化複合材料の引張試験から、材料定数が不明なジュート繊維束の材料定数を同定することにより、力学的挙動を解明する新たな解析手法を提案した。その結果、天然繊維強化複合材料の応力-ひずみ曲線および破壊進展挙動の予測を可能とした。第4章では、 “繊維配置ハイブリッド複合材料” の力学的挙動を予測する解析手法を確立した。本章では、ガラス繊維およびジュート繊維を強化基材とした繊維配置ハイブリッド織物複合材料を解析対象とした。複数種類の繊維束の配置およびそれら繊維束の破壊を考慮した解析手法を提案することにより、繊維配置ハイブリッド織物複合材料の応力-ひずみ曲線および破壊進展挙動の予測を可能とし、その設計指針を構築した。第5章では、“繊維構造ハイブリッド複合材料” の力学的挙動を予測する解析手法を確立した。本章では、撚り数および撚り構造の異なる繊維束を有する繊維構造ハイブリッド織物複合材料を解析対象とした。2本の繊維束を撚り合わせた双糸を表現した解析モデルを提案し、よこ繊維束内における繊維-樹脂間界面の初期破壊発生応力および発生箇所は、異なる撚り数および撚り構造を有する繊維構造ハイブリッド複合材料によって、制御可能であることを明らかにした。さらに、繊維構造ハイブリッド平打組物複合材料を解析対象とし、応力-ひずみ曲線および破壊進展挙動の予測を可能とした。第6章では、“樹脂ハイブリッド複合材料”の力学的挙動を予測する解析手法を確立した。本章では、汎用樹脂が含浸された繊維および柔軟性樹脂が含浸された繊維の2種類の繊維を用いて作製した、樹脂ハイブリッド平打組物複合材料を解析対象とした。柔軟性樹脂を含浸させた繊維束の材料定数を考慮した解析手法を提案することにより、応力-ひずみ曲線および破壊進展挙動の予測を可能とし、設計指針を構築した。柔軟性樹脂が含浸された繊維の挿入量および挿入位置が強度に及ぼす影響を検討した結果、力学的特性の要求性能に応じた複合材料の設計の自由度が大きくなった。第7章では、“界面ハイブリッド複合材料” の力学的挙動を予測する解析手法を確立した。繊維-樹脂間に形成される界面相において、汎用性樹脂を付与した界面相と柔軟性樹脂を付与した界面相を提案し、これら2つの界面相を併用する界面ハイブリッド織物複合材料を解析対象とした。本章では、静的条件下に加えて、新たに、落錘衝撃条件下における微視的損傷を考慮した解析手法を提案し、荷重-たわみ曲線を算出し、破壊進展挙動を解明することにより、設計指針を構築した。柔軟性樹脂を付与した界面相を積層型複合材料の最外層に配置し、ハイブリッド化することにより、静的条件下における強度、落錘衝撃条件下における最大荷重値および吸収エネルギー量が増加することが明らかとなった。第8章では、“層間ハイブリッド複合材料” の力学的挙動を予測する解析手法を確立した。本章では、強化基材となる炭素繊維織物の表面部分の繊維を裁断することにより織物表面(層間)に繊維の毛羽を設けた、層間ハイブリッド織物複合材料を解析対象とした。層間の微視的損傷を考慮した解析モデルを提案し、静的3点曲げ条件下および落錘衝撃条件下において力学的挙動解析をおこなった。静的条件下における層間のせん断強度を設計することにより、落錘衝撃条件下において要求性能に応じた吸収エネルギーが得られることが明らかとなった。第9章では、本研究で得られた知見をまとめ、結論とした。本論文で確立した解析手法および設計手法は、ハイブリッドテキスタイル複合材料の力学的挙動を解明することを可能とし、破壊の制御および材料設計の最適化に役立つといえ、工業的にも応用分野の広い概念となることが示唆された。
