U radu “Radijaciona otpornost filmova indijum-oksida u stanju izolatora sa Kuperovim parovima” sagledava se ponašanje filmova indijum-oksida u različitim radijacionim sredinama, za različite jone, energije zračenja i fluense, kao i pojava pojedinih radijacionih efekata u filmovima predviđenih teorijskim modelom. Efekti jonizujućeg zračenja analizirani su primenom Monte Karlo simulacije. Kombinovanom teorijskom i numeričkom analizom u radu je prikazano da promene u filmovima indijum-oksida prouzrokovane zračenjem mogu značajno uticati na njihove karakteristike. U uvodnim poglavljima rada navodi se razlog zašto je potrebno da se ispitaju efekti zračenja na savremene elektronske komponente koje pod određenim uslovima prelaze u stanje izolatora. Takođe, definisane su osnovne osobine materije, dielektričnih materijala i izolatora, kao i efekti koji nastaju prolaskom zračenja kroz materijale. U poglavljima koji slede prikazana je struktura izolatora sa Kuperovim parovima sa osvrtom na indijum-oksid filmove i razmotrene su Monte Carlo metode za uzorkovanje slučajnih veličina korišćene za kompjuterske simulacije prolaska zračenja kroz materijale. U sledećem poglavlju prikazani su postignuti rezultati za efekte interakcije zračenja sa tankim filmovima indijum oksida, a sledi poglavlje sa diskusijom dobijenih rezultata. Na samom kraju prodiskutovana je kompatibilnost izolatora sa Kuperovim parovima pri izlaganju zračenju i konstatovano je da su rezultati dobijeni simulacijom i njihova povezanost sa teorijskim očekivanjima u skladu sa prethodno iznesenim razmatranjima

2. Sato, Koji. Cooper-Pair Injection into Topological Insulators and Helical Wires.

A Cooper-pair (CP) splitter is a device capable of spatially separating a pair of entangled electrons by sending a weak current from a superconductor (SC) to a pair of quantum dots or quantum wires. In this thesis, CP splitters based on quantum spin Hall insulators (QSHI), also known as two-dimensional topological insulator, and quantum wires are theoretically studied. Spin-entangled electrons can be extracted from the CP's in the SC, and transmitted by the helical electronic states hosted by these quantum heterostructures. In the introduction, the background information on the integer quantum Hall effect, QSHI, and CP splitters is provided.
