This paper explores the interdisciplinary collaboration and connection of visual arts with science and mathematics used in quality teaching situations to prove that: art activities can develop and grow mathematical skills. The research took place in the age group of preschool age and gradeschool age (kindergarten and first grade) and the main data were: a. Difficulty at understanding math concepts, b. Circumvent hours of visual and c. Way of negotiation of visual activities. Considering the above school reality, we propose a new methodological negotiation of visual activities, which contribute to: a. In close and constructive cooperation of Visual Arts and Mathematics, b. Use of the common elements of two different fields, c. creation of comprehensive art education programs, d. understanding of various mathematical concepts, and e. dispel the perception that the "mathematization" is an inaccessible and incomprehensible process, demonstrating that interdisciplinary association of artists and mathematics can result from one side pleasure and aesthetic enjoyment and the other creating and knowledge.The theoretical framework, the design and implementation of the proposed teaching method, and the results of the teaching intervention, are the main contents of our study.The theoretical context of the work based on the views of prominent artists, mathematics educators, psychologists, and other scientists from the Greek and international field and analyzed in the first 6 chapters and concerns: 1 In common elements of the visual arts with math, 2 In the most important psychological - pedagogical - scientific theories relating to the development of children of preschool and grade school age , 3 the characteristics of art education, the position in the curriculum, on teaching art and its contribution to the overall development of the child, 4 in mathematics in relation to young children, their position in curricula and teaching of mathematics topics 5. teaching methodology, 6 the methodology of the research implemented (experimental strategy applied, action research), and the method of interpretation (semantic analysis) we used for the export of research results.The research part of the thesis consists of five chapters, which are presented in detail: 1 The didactic proposal, the specific features and steps to follow, 2 The quantitative and qualitative results of math tests for kindergarten and first grade, 3. the interpretation of recorded results of creative activities implemented in kindergarten and their implications in the educational process, 4 the interpretation of recorded results of creative activities implemented in the first grade of primary school and their implications in the educational process and 5. qualitative observations for teaching interventions implemented in kindergarten and first grade elementary school.In chapter 12, on the occasion of the main results of the research project, we present the thoughts and observations and complete the evaluation of all instructional intervention.The annex contains all the…
