Dezentral verwaltete Geldsysteme wurden entwickelt um zentral verwaltete zu ersetzen. Ein Pseudonym hat 2008 die erste virtuelle Währung erschaffen und somit einen bahnbrechenden Schritt in Richtung Substitution bestehender Geldsysteme bewirkt. Obwohl es virtuelle Währungen bereits seit 10 Jahren gibt, befassen sich die gesetzgebenden Instanzen in Österreich erst seit wenigen Jahren mit diesen. Auf Grund der technologisch komplexen Struktur virtueller Währungen gestaltet sich die Schaffung rechtlicher Rahmenbedingungen für solche Systeme als sehr schwierig. Mit neuen technologischen Innovationen gehen nicht immer nur positive, sondern auch negative Begleiterscheinungen einher. Einer dieser negativen Begleiterscheinungen stellt den Missbrauch virtueller Währungen für Zwecke von Geldwäsche und Terrorismusfinanzierung dar. Die Europäische Union hat aktuell Maßnahmen getroffen um diesen Entwicklungen entgegen zu wirken. Am 20. Mai 2018 wurde die 5. Geldwäscherichtlinie im Amtsblatt der Europäischen Union veröffentlicht die es bis zum 10. Jänner 2020 in das nationale Recht der einzelnen Mitgliedsstaaten umzusetzen gilt. Aktuell wurden diesbezüglich noch keine Bestimmungen getroffen. Die Zuständigkeit der Ressorts ist ungeklärt. Die Frage ist, ob es aus rechtlicher Sicht gelingen wird mit den technischen Entwicklungen Schritt halten zu können. Fast täglich entstehen neue virtuelle Währungen, Geschäftsmodelle sowie auf Blockchain-basierende technische Anwendungen, die gewisse Risiken in sich bergen. Eine schnelle Anpassungsfähigkeit von Seiten der Behörden ist unabdingbar, denn die Technologie ist nicht mehr aufzuhalten.

Decentralized managed money systems have been developed to replace centrally managed ones. A pseudonym created the first virtual currency in 2008, thus taking a pioneering step towards the substitution of existing monetary systems. Although there have been virtual currencies for 10 years, the legislative bodies in Austria have only been dealing with them for a short time. Due to the technologically complex structure of virtual currencies, the creation of legal framework conditions for such systems is very difficult. New technological innovations are not always accompanied by positive but also negative side effects. One of these negative side effects is the misuse of virtual currencies for the purpose of money laundering and terrorist financing. The European Union has taken measures to counter these developments. On 20 May 2018, the 5th Money Laundering Directive was published in the Official Journal of the European Union, which is to be transposed into the national law of the individual member states by 20 January 2020. Currently no provisions have been made in this regard. The responsibility for the individual departments is unclear. However, the question is whether, from a legal perspective, it will be possible to keep pace with technological developments. Almost every day, new virtual currencies, business models and blockchain-based technical applications are created, which entail certain risks.…

Die vorliegende Masterarbeit ist ein Beitrag zur kollaborativen Logistik. Kollaborative Logistik ist ein wichtiger Teil von Transport in der Sharing Economy und nimmt heutzutage immer mehr an Bedeutung zu. Die Masterarbeit beinhaltet Information über aktuelle wissenschaftliche Literatur, die sich auf das Thema bezieht. Weiterhin geht die Masterarbeit auf die Definition von unterschiedlichen Formen der kollaborativen Logistik ein und zwar zentralisierte kollaborative Planung, dezentralisierte kollaborative Planung mit Auktionen und dezentralisierte kollaborative Planung ohne Auktionen. Das Ziel der Masterarbeit war mithilfe von unterschiedlichen Eingangsdaten über Lokationen und Depots (im Sinne von ihren geografischen Koordinaten), Anzahl der Fahrzeuge, maximal erlaubten Weglängen und Methoden zur Kundenselektion Auktionen zu evaluieren. Die Ergebnisse von allen Methoden zur Kundenselektion waren evaluiert, verglichen und diskutiert. Die wichtigste Feststellung ist, dass Gewinne im Falle der Kollaboration 20% erreichen können (im Sinne von der gesamten Distanz aller Fahrzeuge und Spediteure). Die Ergebnisse variieren jedoch abhängig von Methoden zur Kundenselektion und Höhe von Konkurrenz.

This master thesis contributes to the field of collaborative logistics. Collaborative logistics as an important part of transportation in the sharing economy is currently gaining importance. The master thesis contains information about the relevant state of the art in the scientific literature. Furthermore, the thesis goes into definitions of different forms of collaborative logistics which are centralized collaborative planning, decentralized planning without auctions and decentralized planning with auctions. Ultimately, a computational study simulates decentralized planning without auctions. The objective of the study was to evaluate auctions using different input data with node and depot coordinates, number of vehicles and maximal travel distance based on different kinds of node selection strategies. The results for all node selection algorithms are evaluated, compared and discussed. The main findings are that collaboration gains (in terms of the distance travelled by all vehicles and carriers) could reach 20%. However, the results vary depending on the kind of node selection applied and the level of competition among the participants.

Die chinesische Immobilienbranche hat sich in den letzten 30 Jahren sehr schnell entwickelt und ist mittlerweile einer der Schlüsselindustrien in China. Allerdings ist das Immobilien-Geschäftsmodell primitiv, und was noch wichtiger ist, die Immobilienunternehmen besitzen eine ungewöhnliche Kapitalstruktur. Sie sind zu stark von Bankkrediten abhängig. Andere Finanzierungsquellen sowie Anleihen und Investmentfonds haben jedoch sehr wenig Einfluss. Dies ist für die langfristige Entwicklung der Immobilienwirtschaft nicht förderlich und bringt ein hohes finanzielles Risiko für den Finanzmarkt mit sich, ist somit eine potenzielle Bedrohung für die chinesische Volkswirtschaft. Darüber hinaus ist China eines der Länder mit der höchsten Sparquote. Einer der wichtigsten Gründe dafür ist der Mangel an Investitionsmöglichkeiten auf dem Finanzmarkt. Chinas Finanzmarkt braucht mehr finanzielle Produkte. Die Einführung von Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) hat eine wichtige Bedeutung für die Immobilienwirtschaft und den Finanzmarkt. REITs können eine wirksame Finanzierungsquelle für die Immobilienwirtschaft werden, und geben den Anlegern Investitionsmöglichkeiten mit potential hohen Renditen und geringen Risiken. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht die Bedeutung der Einführung von REITs in der chinesischen Immobilienbranche und an den Finanzmärkten zu analysieren. Der Zweck dabei ist, einen geeigneten und bedienbaren REITs-Rahmen für China zu finden. Grundsätzlich gliedert sich die Arbeit in 4 Abschnitte: Der Erste gibt eine Übersicht über REITs. Er enthält die Definition von REITs, die Performance von REITs als Finanzprodukt sowie ein internationaler Vergleich von REITs. Der zweite Teil beschreibt den Hintergrund der chinesischen Immobilienbranche. Er umfasst die Bedeutung der Immobilienwirtschaft für die chinesische Volkswirtschaft, die Finanzierungsquellen für die Immobilienwirtschaft, und die Probleme, die in der Struktur der Finanzierung existieren. Die Bedeutung der Einführung von REITs in China, sowie deren Wirkung auf die Immobilienbranche, den Finanzmarkt und der Anleger wird im dritten Teil analysiert. Im letzten Abschnitt wird versucht, die geeigneten Rahmenbedingungen für REITs in China zu suchen. Weiters werden die Möglichkeiten, die Entwicklungsstrategien, die Barrieren und politischen Empfehlungen für die REITs-Einführung und deren Entwicklung in China diskutiert.

▼ Die österreichische Finanzindustrie war während der Finanzkrise oft im Fokus der Medien. Speziell in der Liquiditätskrise nach der Lehman Brothers Pleite im Herbst 2008 wurde das einstige Osteuropapotential der Finanzdienstleister plötzlich als enorme Risikoquelle dargestellt. Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht die Risiken und Möglichkeiten der österreichischen Banken und Versicherungen in ausgewählten Ländern der Region Ost- und Südosteuropa auf Grund der Finanzkrise näher zu analysieren. Es wurden Hypothesen über die Entwicklung verschiedener Bereiche (Region, Eigenkapital, Kosten, Marktposition, Regulierung) erstellt, die nach einer ausführlichen Umweltanalyse durch einen Interviewprozess getestet wurden. Die ausgewählten Länder (Tschechien, Slowakei, Ungarn, Bulgarien, Rumänien, Ukraine) sind sowohl repräsentativ für die einzelnen Subregionen (Zentraleuropa, Südosteuropa, CIS) als auch für die historische Entwicklung der heimischen Banken und Versicherungen. Die ersten Expansionsschritte wurden in unmittelbar angrenzenden Ländern getätigt, da hier auch ein historischer Zusammenhalt besteht, was einen erfolgreichen Markteintritt vereinfachte. Mit zunehmenden Erfolg expandierten die Unternehmen schließlich immer weiter und schneller Richtung Osten, was auch mit der Hauptgrund für den enormen internationalen Erfolg der österreichischen Finanzindustrie war. Aufgrund der Finanzkrise besteht nun allerdings die Frage, wie man sich von einer wachstumsorientierten Strategie zu einer Krisenstrategie entwickelt. Der erste Fokus der Arbeit liegt auf einer Analyse der Finanzstabilität der behandelten Länder. Die Informationen hierfür wurden vorwiegend von den Veröffentlichungen der individuellen Nationalbanken bezogen. Die Analyse zeigt auf, dass es sich um eine äußerst heterogene Region handelt, in der es eine große Anzahl verschiedener Risiken gibt. Die größten sind unter anderem eine hohe Staatsverschuldung, Währungsrisiken sowie eine abnehmende Höhe der Investitionen aus dem Ausland. Allerdings haben diese Risiken in den behandelten Ländern unterschiedliche Gewichtungen. Während einige Länder stark unter den Folgen der Krise leiden, wie zum Beispiel Ungarn, hielten sich manche Länder, wie Tschechien, während der größten Probleme wacker. Während sich die Slowakei durch den Euro Beitritt im Januar 2009 keine Gedanken mehr über die Währungsstabilität machen muss, haben andere Länder der Region stark damit zu kämpfen. Die Arbeit behandelt sowohl die Aktivitäten der drei größten Österreichischen Banken (UniCredit Bank Austria, Raiffeisen International, Erste Bank) als auch der zwei größten Versicherer (Vienna Insurance Group, Uniqa). Diese Institute zählen sowohl zu den einflussreichsten Finanzdienstleistern in Österreich als auch in Zentral- und Osteuropa. In ländlichen Gebieten spielt öffentlicher Verkehr eine große Rolle, da ein großer Teil der Bevölkerung von ihm abhängig ist. Es gibt zwei Arten öffentlicher Verkehrmittel: Züge und Busse. Diese Arbeit präsentiert ein Lösungverfahren für die Erstellung von Buslinien für das Gebiet Steyr Land. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es einen Buslinienplan zu erstellen welcher soviel Nachfrage wie möglich abdeckt und eine maximale Anzahl von Bussen nicht überschreitet. Das Lösungverfahren ist heuristisch und besteht aus fünf Schritten. Im ersten Schritt werden die Stationen für den Buslinienplan erstellt. Im zweiten Schritt werden die Routen für den Buslinienplan erstellt. Im dritten Schritt bestimmt man die Anzahl der Busse und Frequenz von ihnen sowie auch die Kosten des Betreibers und der Kunden. Im vierten Schritt findet man Zentren, die dann für Tickets, Information und so weiter benutzt werden können. Im letzten Schritt checkt man, ob der Buslinienplan verbessert und die Kosten des Betreibers und der Kunden reduziert werden können.

In rural areas public transportation plays a huge role because many people depend on it. There are just two types of public transportation in rural areas: trains and buses. This work provides a solution procedure to develop a bus network system in Steyr Land. The objective is to maximize demand satisfaction, taking into account a restriction on the number of buses and the travel time of passengers. A heuristic method is used for this work and it is divided into five steps. In the first step, the number of stations needed for the bus network system is determined. In the second step, the number of routes and total covered demand for the bus network system are found. In the third step, the number of buses and frequency per hour on each line, and in addition, the operator and user costs are defined. In the fourth step, the centers are found out, which can be used for selling tickets, information etc. In the last step, the bus network system is checked if there might be improvements, which further reduce minimize the operator and user costs.

Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist eine Übersicht und Zusammenfassung relevanter Literatur zum Thema multikriterielle Optimierung im Katastrophenmanagement. Basisliteratur ist der Artikel von Gutjahr and Nolz (Gutjahr & Nolz, 2016) Multicriteria optimization in humanitarian aid woraus nach bestimmten Kriterien Artikel ausgewählt und detailliert beschrieben wurden. Um dem theoretischen Teil der Arbeit praktisches Unterfutter zu liefern, wurden zwei Experteninterviews mit dem Österreichischen Bundesheer und dem Österreichischen Roten Kreuz durchgeführt. In einigen Punkten stimmen Theorie und Praxis sehr gut überein, allerdings bemisst die Fachliteratur dem Faktor der Kosten anscheinend eine weitaus größere Bedeutung, als es die beiden Interviewpartner in der Praxis wahrnehmen. Dennoch lässt sich erkennen, dass theoretische Modelle Neuerungen aus dem Katastrophenmanagement annehmen und in die jeweiligen Optimierungsmodelle einfließen lassen. Andererseits sind Hilfsorganisationen auch immer an Fortschritten und optimierten theoretischen Modellen interessiert, da dies wiederum die Basis für sie ist, mehr Menschenleben zu retten und mehr Personen in Not helfen.

Main objective of this thesis was to provide an overview about literature considering multi-objective optimization in disaster management and underline theoretical models with practical examples. As a basis for this review, the article by Gutjahr and Nolz (Gutjahr & Nolz, 2016) Multicriteria optimization in humanitarian aid is taken, selected articles are described in detail and two interviews with two experts from a governmental as well as a non-governmental organization in Austria were conducted, in order to examine if theory and practice are consistent. Findings show that in some points, theoretical models take into consideration important factors in real life. Although the interviews showed that the first objective to be fulfilled in real disaster situations is saving lives, some models focus on costs as one of their prioritized objectives. Nevertheless, it can be seen, that theoretical models and real disaster management kind of learn from each other. New models take into account new technology gained in real life disaster management, and disaster relief organizations are always interested in progress in optimization models in order to be able saving more lives and helping more people in need.

Mit der Umsetzung der Richtlinie 2011/85/EU wurde die Rechnungslegung aller Teilsektoren eines Staates vereinheitlicht. Insbesondere Gemeinden standen mit der Einführung der neuen Voranschlags- und Rechnungsabschlussverordnung 2015 vor einer Vielzahl von Neuerungen bezüglich deren Rechnungslegung und Vermögensdarstellung. In der vorliegenden Masterarbeit wird im ersten Teil auf die Gemeinde und ihre Rechnungslegung eingegangen. Es wird der neue Voranschlag sowie Rechnungsabschluss anschaulich dargestellt, wobei auch auf die Realisierung der VRV 2015 in den einzelnen Gemeinden und Unterschiede zum österreichischen Unternehmensgesetzbuch Bezug genommen wird. Im zweiten Teil dieser Masterarbeit werden die privatrechtlichen Bestimmungen einer Insolvenz erörtert. Es werden die Tatbestände, Beteiligte sowie die derzeitige Insolvenzlage der letzten Jahre veranschaulicht. Mit diesen Informationen wird darauffolgend die Insolvenzfähigkeit von österreichischen Gemeinden anhand der Entscheidung 4 Ob 435/33 des Obersten Gerichtshofes, welche Bezirken und Ländern – im konkreten Fall der Gemeinde Donawitz – die Konkursfähigkeit zugesprochen hat, diskutiert. Insbesondere wird auch auf das, für ein Insolvenzverfahren verfügbare, Insolvenzvermögen und ein gesondertes Insolvenzrecht für Gemeinden näher eingegangen.

With the introduction of the directive 2011/85/EU accounting across government subsectors was standardized. In Austria this directive was converted through a new accounting regulation for municipalities which had to be implemented till January 2019. Austrian municipalities were faced with a number of difficulties concerning major changes to their old accounting and valuation systems. After explaining the new requirements for reporting their assets and differences to the Austrian Corporate Code (Unternehmensgesetzbuch – UGB) this thesis also focuses on the possibility of insolvency in the governmental subsectors, in specific Austrian municipalities. In order to examine this problematic the current private law for insolvency is illustrated and a number of Supreme Court decisions are being discussed.

▼ Von Großbritannien Ende der 1970er Jahre ausgehend, erfuhren Privatisierungen in den darauf folgenden zwei Dekaden einen Boom in Westeuropa. Staatliche Betriebe wurden dabei europaweit sukzessive aufgrund verschiedener politisch-ökonomischer Gründe an Private veräußert, die es zu ermitteln gilt. War diese Entwicklung in den ehemaligen kommunistischen Staaten Osteuropas hauptsächlich auf den Beginn des Transformationsprozesses von einer Plan- zur freien Marktwirtschaft zurückzuführen, so waren die Beweggründe in Westeuropa unter anderem hohe Staatsdefizite, die gewollte Expansion der Finanzmärkte über die Politik des „Popular Capitalism“ und die Ineffizienz staatlich geführter Betriebe. Neben den ökonomischen Faktoren spielen dabei auch parteiideologische Aspekte und die Frage, ob es sich beim politischen System um eine Konkurrenz- oder Konsensdemokratie handelt, eine wichtige Rolle. Auch konnten Unterschiede bei der Privatisierungswahrscheinlichkeit ausgemacht werden, wenn man die Rechtstraditionen eines Staates mit berücksichtigt. Der Einfluss politisch-ökonomischer Gegebenheiten ist jedoch nicht nur bei den Motivationen für Privatisierungen, sondern auch bei der Wahl der Privatisierungsmethode selbst für die sich im Amt befindenden Regierungen relevant. Doch nicht alle Parteien befürworten Privatisierungen. Nicht selten werden die ökonomischen Entscheidungen von den Eigenmotivationen der Politiker oder der von ihnen installierten Manager in den Hintergrund gedrängt, sodass Privatisierungen oft verhindert werden. Diese egoistische Handlungsweise von Politikern und Bürokraten, aber auch der Einfluss von Interessensgruppen und die aus diesen drei Faktoren resultierende Ineffizienz staatlicher Betriebe, können dabei anhand der Public Choice Theorie näher analysiert werden. In der Tat scheint die große Mehrheit der Privatisierungen die Effizienz und die Performance des Unternehmens zu steigern, doch obwohl die Vorteile deutlich erkennbar sind, formieren sich in den Bevölkerungen weltweit immer wieder Widerstände gegen diese Reformmaßnahmen, die auf die Angst eines Wohlfahrtsverlustes zurückzuführen sind.

Diese Masterarbeit analysiert Änderungen in der Performance von Euro-Banken im Vergleich zu den anderen EU Banken und Banken ausserhalb der EU im Zeitraum von Januar 2008 bis Dezember 2017. Innerhalb von zwei methodologischen Bereichen wird jeweils eine SSM-Aufsichtsprirorität untersucht, und zwar die Bestimmungsfaktoren der Ertragskraft und das Risikomanagement. Seit ihrer Gründung im November 2014 strebt die Bankenunion nach einem sicheren und stärkeren Euro Bankensystem. Jedoch zeigen die ersten Ergebnisse eine schwache Entwicklung des Euroraums und dessen noch immer sinkender Ertragskraft. Im Gegensatz dazu konnten sich die Banken ausserhalb der EU am schnellsten erholen und zeigten 2016 ein positives Wachstum in Privat- und Unternehmenskrediten, im Aktivvermögen, in Gesamteinlagen wie auch in der Profitabilität. Darüberhinaus wurde im zweiten Teil dieser Arbeit die Bankenunion als Haupttreiber des bedingten steigenden systematischen Risikos Europas ermittelt. Zudem befinden sich gerade in der Eurozone jene Staaten und Banken mit dem höchsten systematischen Risiko. Somit kann festgestellt werden, dass die Performance der beaufsichtigten Banken weder als sicherer, noch als besser im Vergleich zu den anderen Banken Europas dargestellt werden kann.

This thesis investigates changes in the performance of euro banks supervised by the Banking Union, compared to “OTHER-EU” and “NON-EU” banks between January 2008 and December 2017. The methodology is divided into two parts, each following one priority outlined by the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), namely profitability and risk management. Since its establishment on November 2014 Banking Union has worked towards achieving safer and more resilient euro banking system. However, the results of this thesis showed supervised banks experiencing the slowest recovery of its still declining profitability. In contrary to this, banks outside the EU recorded the best performance, and in 2016 first positive growth rates in retail and corporate loans, total assets, total deposits as well as in net income. In addition to this, the second part of the thesis determined Banking Union as the main driver behind rising conditional systemic riskiness in Europe. Thereby, the Eurozone also hosts the most systemically risky countries and banks. To conclude, despite the work of Banking Union, the performance of supervised banks still cannot be considered as safer or as stronger compared to other European banks.

In den vergangenen Jahrzehnten versuchte eine Vielzahl von Wissenschaftlern die Faktoren, welche bei der Bekanntgabe eines neuen Geschäftsführers (CEO) auf den Aktienmarkt einwirken, zu bestimmen. Jedoch ohne einheitliches Ergebnis. Unstimmigkeiten in Bezug auf die Methodik und die Quantifizierung von Variablen bilden die Hauptgründe für das Bestehen von teilweise widersprüchlichen Ergebnissen. Diese Masterarbeit versucht durch die Miteinbeziehung von Narzissmus als zentrales Persönlichkeitsmerkmal von Geschäftsführern die Auswirkung bestimmter Faktoren, gemessen anhand von außergewöhnlichen Erträgen der Aktie des Unternehmens, auf den Aktienmarkt bei der Ankündigung eines Geschäftsführerwechsels näher zu bestimmen und bestehende Widersprüche zu erklären. Hierzu werden alle Geschäftsführerwechsel für die Unternehmen des S&P 500 zwischen 2006 und 2016 mit Hilfe von Paneldaten-Analysen untersucht, um die Signifikanz des Einflusses von Narzissmus, die bereits bestehende Zugehörigkeit des neuen Geschäftsführers zum Unternehmen und die Profitabilität des Unternehmens vor der Bekanntgabe des Geschäftsführerwechsels zu ermitteln. Die Resultate der statistischen Auswertungen zeigen klar, dass narzisstische Züge eines Geschäftsführers einen positiven Einfluss auf die Reaktion der Aktienmärkte hat, während der Einfluss der verbleibenden Faktoren nur unter bestimmten Bedingung, beziehungsweise überhaupt nicht, sichtbar ist. Darüber hinaus deckt die Verwendung von Interaktionstermen zwischen Narzissmus und verschiedenen Kontrollvariablen, wie Unternehmensgröße und -–profitabilität, die unter bestimmten Bedingungen negativen Einflüsse von Narzissmus auf. Die Ergebnisse basieren auf der Verwendung von mehreren Zeiträumen zur Bestimmung und Berechnung der außergewöhnlichen Erträge, welche sich von 1einem bis zu 21 Tagen erstrecken. Ein Methodenvergleich stärkt die Robustheit der Resultate und zeigt eine Korrelation zwischen Narzissmus und firmenspezifischen, zeitabhängigen Faktoren auf.

Despite various efforts to ascertain a set of determinants shaping the market reactions to CEO announcements, no such set has emerged yet. Leading to this status quo are inconsistencies regarding the measurement of key variables as well as the methodology. In order to overcome this issue and to extend the existing set of factors, this Master’s Thesis proposes CEO narcissism as an additional and pivotal variable in predicting cumulative abnormal returns around the announcement date. The sample is based on the CEO announcements of the companies of the S&P 500 index for the years between 2006 and 2016. Fixed effects estimation is applied and compared to ordinary least square estimation, which allows the observation of the net effect of CEO narcissism, pre-succession performance and successor origin on various cumulative abnormal returns. In der akademischen Literatur finden sich eine Vielzahl an Indikatoren, die für den Ausgang von Geschäftsverhandlungen eine Rolle spielen können. Insbesondere lassen sich zwei Stränge erkennen. Zum einen werden Aspekte hinsichtlich kultureller Unterschiede der Verhandlungspartner diskutiert. Zum anderen finden sich Ergebnisse, die die Individualität und Verhaltensweisen von Individuen als wichtige Moderatoren für den Ausgang von Geschäftsverhandlungen begründen. Diese Masterarbeit hat zum Ziel diese beiden Literaturstränge zusammenzubringen und anhand von verschiedener Merkmale zu vergleichen, um eine Aussage über die Überlegenheit einer dieser beiden Theorien zu treffen. Dafür wurden eine Handvoll einflussreicher Papiere selektiert und aufgrund ihrer empirischer Ergebnisse (Signifikanz, Effektgröße, Stichprobenumfang), sowie qualitativer Kriterien, wie Zitierhäufigkeit und das Journalrating der jeweiligen Publikation verglichen. Die Analysen zeigen, dass der relative Einfluss von Kultur auf den Ausgang von Geschäftsverhandlungen größer ist als der von individuellen Charakteristika und Verhaltensweisen.

The past decades have presented a versatile body of research with frequently inconsistent findings. My master thesis is taking a new assessment on the enduring mystery about whether there is a relative difference in the impact of individual characteristics and behavioral traits compared to national culture on the outcome of international business negotiations. To be able to asses the differences in relative impacts each side is looked at separately before compared with each other. Due to the multitude of available moderators a selection had to be made in order to stay in scope of a master thesis. The comparison was made on an argumentative base. Nevertheless different factors drawn from empirical data like significance, effect size and sample size combined with the amount of citations and the rating of the journal in which the arguments were published were taken in consideration for each argument. Overall this thesis comes to the conclusion that the relative impact of national culture is greater then the relative impact of individual characteristics and behavioral traits on the outcomes of international business negotiations. Therefore I recommend, that even though individual characteristics and behavioral traits are gaining more importance in recent academic research and for managers involved in international business negotiations, that they should not forget about the cultural awareness and training of negotiators in order to be successful.

Das Thema dieser Magisterarbeit behandelt die Auslieferung von Fertigbeton in einem dynamischen Umfeld. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist mit einem bestehenden Algorithmus eine Laufzeit-Analyse durchzuführen. Die Auslieferung von Fertigbeton stellt eine logistische Herausforderung dar und wird in der Literatur durch ein VRP (Vehicle Routing Problem) beschrieben. Ein VRP, in diesem Fall mit unterschiedlichen Bedingungen, ist eines der schwierigsten Aufgabenstellungen aus dem Bereich der Kombinatorik. Mit Hilfe des Algorithmus kann das VRP jedoch fast optimal gelöst werden, gleichzeitig verbessert sich auch die Lösung über einem längeren Zeitraum. Anhand von drei unterschiedlichen Experimenten soll die Anwendbarkeit und Lösungsgüte des Algorithmus untersucht werden. Dabei werden verschiedene Auftragsszenarien unter statischen, dynamischen bzw. hypothetischen Bedingungen generiert. Der Fokus liegt in der Reaktionsfähigkeit des Algorithmus und den damit verbundenen Auswirkungen auf den Planungsprozess. Die Arbeit besteht aus drei Hauptteilen. Der erste Teil befasst sich mit dem theoretischen Hintergrund. Der zweite Abschnitt beschreibt die spezifischen Eigenschaften und Anforderungen an Fertigbeton. Zum Abschluss der Arbeit werden die drei Experimente genauer beschrieben und die Ergebnisse präsentiert.

This thesis deals with the delivery of ready-mixed concrete in a dynamic environment. Its aim is a run time analysis of a certain algorithm which is used for vehicle routing problems, a problem which is in the field of combinatorial optimization problems one of the most challenging ones, which can not only solve this problem to near-optimality, but also improves the given solution over time. For this case the algorithm is applied on three generated experiments set in a static/dynamic environment. The focus lies upon the reaction of the algorithm and on the consequences for the schedulers who have to deal with this matters which often occur on short notice. The thesis consists of three main parts. The first part takes a deeper look at the theory behind this problem. Two combinatorial optimization problems have been explained, and their solutions methods were presented. Then the material itself was presented, its special features and how this inflicts the production system and delivery of ready-mixed concrete. The last part consists of the experiments and the results of the study.
