Shrnut¨¦ poznatky o zm¨Şn¨§ných t¨¦matech jsou aplikov¨˘ny na konkr¨¦tn¨Ş oblast strojů ¨C na vysokonap¨§ťov¨¦ točiv¨¦ elektrick¨¦ stroje. Praktickou 訢st tvoř¨Ş analýza a hodnocen¨Ş diagnostických parametrů dvou typů uvedených strojů. Tato pr¨˘ce si d¨˘v¨˘ za c¨Şl předevš¨Şm hled¨˘n¨Ş souvislost¨Ş mezi bezpečnost¨Ş a technickou diagnostikou vysokonap¨§ťových točivých strojů. Dalš¨Şmi c¨Şly jsou nalezen¨Ş vhodn¨¦ metody analýzy diagnostikovaných parametrů a posouzen¨Ş strojů na z¨˘klad¨§ jejich výsledků. Př¨Şnosem t¨¦to diplomov¨¦ pr¨˘ce by m¨§ly být nov¨¦ myšlenky v posuzov¨˘n¨Ş vysokonap¨§ťových elektrických točivých strojů.; This thesis is focused on technical systems and evaluating their safety. It tries to make a complex view of links between safety, demands for quality and technical diagnostics. It tries to apply all the information about mentioned features to concrete branch of machines ¨C highŠ\voltage electrical rotary machines. Practical part of this thesis consists of statistical analysis of measured parameters by two hydroelectric generators. Main task of this thesis is to transpose theoretical knowledge of safety and technical systems to the branch of highŠ\voltage electrical rotary machines. This thesis also tries to find appropriate and more efficient evaluation method for analyzing the parameters of mentioned machines. Another benefit of this thesis should be bringing few new ideas about evaluating safety and technical status of highŠ\voltage electrical rotary machines. Beaucoup de proc?d?s utilis?s dans l'industrie sid?rurgique (coul?e de lingots,coul?e continue, ?) peuvent g?n?rer des d?fauts : macro-s?gr?gation, mauvaises propri?t?s de la microstructure, d?fauts surfaciques. Ces probl?mes peuvent ?tre r?solus par un contr?le de la temp?rature et de l??coulement d'acier liquide. Le brassage ?lectromagn?tique (EMS) est une technique largement utilis?e pour contr?ler l??coulement d'acier liquide par l?imposition d'un champ ?lectromagn?tique. Cette technique est complexe car elle couple plusieurs types de probl?mes physiques:?coulement multiphasique, solidification,transfert de chaleur et induction ?lectromagn?tique ? basse fr?quence.En outre, l?approche exp?rimentale est difficile de par la dimension,l'environnement et le co?t des proc?d?s consid?r?s. Pour ces raisons, des simulations num?riques efficaces sont n?cessaires pour comprendre les applications EMS et am?liorer les proc?d?s ?voqu?s. L'objectif de cette th?se est de d?velopper une m?thodologie num?rique robuste,efficace et pr?cise pour la simulation multi-physique de l'EMS, en particulier pour le brassage dans le moule dans le cadre de la coul?e continue d'acier. Cette m?thodologie a ?t? mise en oeuvre dans le code commercial THERCAST? pour ?tre utilis? dans le cadre d?applications industrielles

Many of the processes used in thesteelmaking industry (e.g. ingot casting,continuous casting, ?) can lead todefects: macro-segregation, poormicrostructure properties, surfacedefects. These issues can be solved bycontrolling the temperature and the flowof molten steel. Electromagnetic stirring(EMS) is a widely used technique to steerthe flow of liquid steel by thesuperimposition of an electro-magneticfield. This application is complex becauseit couples several physical problems:multi-phase flow, solidification, heattransfer and low frequency electromagneticinduction. In addition,experimental work is difficult because ofthe size, environment and cost of theconsidered processes. For thesereasons, efficient and effective numericalsimulations are needed to understandEMS applications and improve theaforementioned processes.The objective of this thesis is to developa robust, efficient and accurate numericalprocedure for the multi-physicssimulation of EMS, especially for in-moldstirring in the framework of continuouscasting of steel. This procedure has beenimplemented in the commercial codeTHERCAST? in order to be used forindustrial applications.

En Am?rique du Sud et notamment en Argentine, le comportement du mercure (Hg) et de l?arsenic (As) principalement dans les s?diments est encore peu compris. Le syst?me de Mar Chiquita et plus particuli?rement le lac Laguna del Plata, recevant les eaux de la rivi?re Suqu?a, sert ici de cadre ? l??tude de la dynamique de ces deux ?l?ments trace. Leurs distributions dans l?espace et le temps sont analys?es en lien avec l?influence anthropique et les conditions hydrologiques qui ont chang? de mani?re importante au cours du dernier si?cle. L?approche retenue a consist? tout d?abord ? examiner la distribution spatiale du mercure et de l?arsenic ? travers l?analyse des eaux et s?diments pris le long de la rivi?re Suqu?a et dans Laguna del Plata. Dans un second temps, l??tude fine d?une carotte de s?diment pr?lev?e dans Laguna del Plata a permis d?analyser les variations temporelles de Hg et As. De plus, la r?alisation d?extractions s?lectives a conduit ? l?identification des phases porteuses de Hg et As. L?interpr?tation globale des r?sultats et l?appui des images satellites ont r?v?l? le r?le majeur jou? par les changements climatiques et les variations hydrologiques dans le contr?le du comportement du mercure et de l?arsenic au sein du syst?me de Mar Chiquita. Au final, l?association des diff?rentes approches a d?montr? les comportements diff?rents du mercure et de l?arsenic. Les concentrations de mercure sont faibles quand les conditions climatiques sont plus arides et le niveau du lac bas. Elles sont principalement associ?es aux sulfures transport?s par les s?diments de la rivi?re Suqu?a. La hausse des pr?cipitations r?gionales aboutit ? un ruissellement plus important et une mont?e du niveau du lac conduisant ? l?augmentation d?accumulation de mercure. Durant cette p?riode, Hg est principalement associ? ? la mati?re organique. L?arsenic, quant ? lui, est apport? en solution par les eaux jusqu?au lac et, durant les p?riodes plus s?ches, un apport suppl?mentaire s?effectue par les vents balayant la plaine loessique de Chaco Pampean. Dans la carotte de s?diment, l?arsenic est associ? aux oxyhydroxydes r?actifs de fer et de mangan?se. Ses fortes concentrations dans la partie basse de la carotte sont ?galement li?es aux sulfures mais sont aussi associ?es, dans les parties moyenne et haute, aux carbonates.

In South America and especially in Argentina, the behaviour of mercury (Hg) and arsenic (As) mainly in sediments remains poorly understood. The Mar Chiquita system and more particularly the Laguna del Plata with its associated Suqu?a River basin is used here as a case study to identify the dynamic of these two trace elements. Their distribution in space and time are studied in relation with the anthropic presence and the hydrological conditions that importantly changed in the last century.The methodology consisted first to study the spatial distribution of mercury and arsenic thanks to the analysis of water and sediments taken all along the Suqu?a River and Laguna del Plata.
