[pt] Esta pesquisa examina o clássico problema do conceito metalinguístico de palavra na história dos estudos sobre a linguagem. Estende-o sobre o pano de fundo da linguística de inspiração wittgensteiniana, sobretudo nas vozes de Roy Harris (1988, 1997, 2002, 2004), Sylvain Auroux (1992), Nigel Love (1989, 2004, 2007), Talbot Taylor (1996, 2000, 2008), dando-lhe uma formulação sob o prisma da filosofia da linguagem de Quine (1960), no contexto da experiência por ele denominada como Tradução Radical. Percorrido esse trajeto, toma por objetivo específico verificar a configuração do problema da palavra em um modelo teórico contemporâneo, a Abordagem Construcionista da Gramática, nos termos de Goldberg (1995, 2006), e, também, nos termos da adoção e expansão dessa hipótese sobre a gramática feita pelo tipologista Croft (1999, 2001). A partir da exploração dos pressupostos teóricos, princípios de análise e metalinguagem assumidos e empregados por esse modelo, discute-se o tipo de reconhecimento que a palavra recebe como categoria e unidade da língua. Será demonstrado que a palavra tem um estatuto ambíguo na Abordagem Construcionista, hesitando entre a subversão e a continuação da tradição. Considerando-se a perspectiva wittgensteiniana da linguagem como forma de vida como critério de seleção de uma teoria que melhor enfrente o clássico embaraço experimentado pelas diferentes, e, por vezes, rivais teorias linguísticas, postula-se que a Abordagem Construcionista, despojada de suas ambições explicativas e mentalistas, é superior às demais teorias linguísticas contemporâneas, por ser aquela que (i) dá a ver a linguagem como práxis, como forma de vida regulada, mas irredutível e volátil, e não como sistema objetivo e fixo de representação; (ii) se atém a descrição das línguas particulares e não aspira à explicação universal da essência da linguagem; (iii) prefere uma análise que parta do todo para as partes, uma análise holística, e não atomística da linguagem; (iv) acomoda a descrição das práticas metalinguísticas específicas das comunidades de fala em exame – práticas que são as responsáveis últimas pela forma gramatical – reunindo assim melhores condições para evitar um indesejável porém historicamente recorrente imperialismo metalinguístico.

[en] This dissertation examines the classical problem of the metalinguistic word concept in the history of language studies. The problem is exposed under the perspective of Wittgenstein’s view of language, taking into consideration the works of Wittgensteinian linguists such as Roy Harris (1988, 1997, 2002, 2004), Sylvain Auroux (1992), Nigel Love (1989, 2004, 2007), Talbot Taylor (1996, 2000, 2008). [pt] Mística e corporeidade: experiência, ética e práxis em Simone Weil caracteriza-se por um trabalho de pesquisa que se desenvolve a partir da experiência mística corpórea da filósofa de Paris, Simone Weil, que viveu uma experiência práxis místico-ética unitária em seu corpo e alma. Essa experiência se intensificou ao sentir-se tomada por Cristo em sua própria carne. Demonstraremos essa experiência a partir de sua linguagem místico-erótica, que a faz entregar-se inteiramente ao Outro. Sua espera (en attente) pelo encontro com Deus, ou melhor, ser encontrada por Ele, permite uma vida de configuração ao corpo de Cristo, a partir da proximidade com a ética Paulina, solidarizando-se em sua própria carne com as dores da humanidade, assimcomo Cristo, que entregou seu corpo para todos, culminando na verdadeira experiência eucarística: dar-se em comida e bebida para os demais. De início, nosso estudo fundamenta-se em diversas áreas do saber como sociologia, psicologia e filosofia para discorrermos sobre a temática do corpo na contemporaneidade. Terá seu portoseguro na teologia. Em seguida, nossa reflexão será realizada à luz da experiência de Simone Weil. Identificamos essa experiência mística em duas linhas de reflexão. A primeira O corpo que sofre, incontinente e resistente; e a segunda, O corpo que ama, como sensibilidade para amar e vibrar. No último passo apresentaremos sinais de uma mística erótica apostólica de configuração ao corpo do Cristo a partir de Simone Weil que aponte caminhos para se viver a mística hoje.

[en] Mystique and embodiment: experience, ethics and praxis of Simone Weil is a research whose starting point is the mystical experience of the body according to the French philosopher Simone Weil, who had a mystical-ethical experience in praxis, merging her body and soul. Such experience was intensified when the philosopher felt as if Christ was inside her body. This experience will be demonstrated through its mystic-erotic language, which leads her to give herself up entirely to the Other. Her wait (en attente) for God, or in other words, her wait to be found by God, allowed her to have a life guided by the body of Christ, beginning with her closeness to the Pauline ethics, and showing her solidarity with the miseries of the human race, as the same as Christ did – He gave his body to everybody, which was in the end the real eucharistic experience: to give yourself as food and drink to the others. Initially, this study is based on many different areas, such as sociology, psychology and philosophy, so that we can discuss about the contemporary view of body. Our safe haven will be Theology. Afterwards, this research will be carried out in the light of Simone Weil s experience, which we reflected upon from two different perspectives – the first one the body that suffers, frail and resilient, and the second one The body that loves, with sensibility to love and to vibrate. [pt] A práxis do Reino de Deus na vida de Jesus Cristo e de seus discípulos se constitui como categoria teológica para a constatação da antecipação escatológica do Reino de Deus na História. Partindo da Escatologia presente nas obras de Edward Schillebeeckx, este estudo demonstra como o Reino de Deus, esperado para o futuro pós-histórico, antecipa-se na história mediante as práticas de justiça e de misericórdia a favor da vida plena para todos. Inicia-se com a demonstração da práxis do Reino de Deus presente nas obras do Autor, a fim de pôr em relevo a Escatologia presente em suas obras. A seguir, faz-se uma demonstração da cristologia escatológica de Schillebeeckx destacando a tipologia adotada pelo Autor, para se chegar ao contexto teológico e eclesial latinoamericano, a fim de demonstrar nele como o Reino é antecipado historicamente pela práxis dos discípulos do Reino na América Latina. O método usado nesta pesquisa foi o da revisão bibliográfica das obras de Schillebeeckx, em diálogo com outros teólogos e teólogas que tematizam ou se interessam pela temática da práxis do Reino de Deus. Da práxis de Cristo à práxis de seus discípulos, em todos os tempos, o Reino de Deus se antecipa e se manifesta na prática do amor, da verdade e da justiça, que socorre os pobres e lhes anuncia a esperança da salvação, já experimentada na caminhada na Terra, mas que terá seu acabamento no futuro glorioso e eterno em Deus. Desta Tese, a Escatologia recebe a contribuição temática aqui aprofundada, ao mesmo tempo em que a mesma Tese abre o caminho para ulteriores desenvolvimentos, a fim de enriquecer mais ainda a produção literária na área da Teologia Sistemática.

[en] The praxis of the Kingdom of God in the life of Jesus Christ and his disciples constitutes a theological category for the confirmation of the eschatological anticipation of the Kingdom of God in History. Starting from the Eschatology present in the works of Edward Schillebeeckx, this study demonstrates how the Kingdom of God, awaited for the post-historical future, anticipates in history through the practices of justice and mercy in favor of a full life for all. It begins with the demonstration of the praxis of the Kingdom of God present in the works of the Author in order to highlight the eschatology present in his works. The following is a demonstration of the eschatological Christology of Schillebeeckx highlighting the typology adopted by the Author to reach the Latin American theological and ecclesial context in order to demonstrate in him how the Kingdom is historically anticipated by the praxis of the disciples of the Kingdom in Latin America. The method used in this research was the bibliographical review of the works of Schillebeeckx, in dialogue with other theologians and theologians who thematize or are interested in the praxis of the Kingdom of God. [pt] O presente trabalho discute a polêmica visão de Hannah Arendt relativa ao papel ocupado pela dimensão social no processo político contemporâneo. Arendt insurge-se contra a corrente articulação entre o social e o político, que instrumentaliza a prática política reduzindo-a a uma atividade secundária e, consequentemente, alienante. Essa visão de Arendt encontra fortes contrapontos em diversos pensadores da filosofia política que serão aqui tratados, com destaque para Jürgen Habermas e Seyla Benhabib. Para uma adequada compreensão da polêmica, três pontos são de fundamental importância: o conceito de distinção no pensamento de Arendt; sua teoria de ação política (oriunda da práxis aristotélica); e, finalmente, sua concepção de modernidade.

[en] The present dissertation discusses the Hannah Arendt s polemic vision of the role of social dimension in the current political process. Arendt claims that the ongoing way to articulate these two dimensions, leads to an instrumentalization of the political sphere which reduces it to a secondary role and therefore increases the process of alienation. This vision meets strong reactions by several scholars, who will be discussed herein, highlighting Jurgen Habermas and Seyla Benhabib. For a proper understanding of the subject, three issues are of paramount importance: the concept of distinction in Arendt s thinking; Arendt s theory of political action (from Aristotelian praxis); and the Arendt s idea of modernity.

[pt] A presente dissertação trata do anúncio e práxis do Reino de Deus, com a finalidade de perceber os elementos escatológicos da temática, presentes no pensamento de Edward Schillebeeckx, contidos na obra Jesus, a história de um vivente, além de outras obras do autor e de outros autores em diálogo com ele. A metodologia adotada é a da revisão bibliográfica, e os pontos de relevância são o anúncio, a práxis do Reino, e a percepção dos elementos escatológicos destacados por Schillebeeckx. Jesus anunciou o Reino de Deus, por meio das bem-aventuranças, parábolas e a reinterpretação da Lei mosaica a favor dos pobres, trazendo de Deus a ajuda salvadora para a humanidade. Se as bem-aventuranças são o programa de vida do Reino, as parábolas são sua ilustração vital, e todas elas se referem ao próprio Jesus, que é, em pessoa, o Reino de Deus. Consequente do anúncio, a práxis do Reino em Jesus se verifica em suas atitudes de cura e libertação do mal, revelando a compaixão e misericórdia de Deus. O anúncio e práxis do Reino geram a comunidade de discípulos, que, após a morte e ressurreição de Jesus, na força do Espírito Santo, dá continuidade à sua missão na história. Com Jesus, o Profeta escatológico, o Reino de Deus se aproxima da humanidade e realiza já o que ainda há de ser plenamente experimentado no futuro escatológico de Deus.

[en] This dissertation deals with the proclamation and praxis of the God s Kingdom, in order to realize the eschatological elements of the theme, present in the thought of Edward Schillebeeckx, contained in the book Jesus, the story of a living, and other works by the author and other authors in dialogue with him. The methodology adopted is the literature review, and the points of relevance are the announcement, the praxis of the kingdom, and the perception of the eschatological elements highlighted by Schillebeeckx. Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of God, through the Beatitudes, parables and the reinterpretation of the Mosaic Law for the poor people, bringing God s saving help for Humanity. If the beatitudes are the life program of the kingdom, the parables are a vital illustration, and they all refer to Jesus himself, who is, himself, the kingdom of God. Subsequent announcement, the praxis of the kingdom in Jesus is found in their attitude healing and deliverance from evil, revealing the compassion and mercy of God. The announcement and praxis of the kingdom generate a community of disciples who, after the death and resurrection of Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit, continues His mission in history. With Jesus, the eschatological prophet, God s Kingdom is approaching humanity and accomplishes what has yet to be fully experienced in the eschatological future of God.

Os cantos do Cancioneiro Popular das CEBs constituem uma realidade presente na Igreja do Brasil. Era preciso adentrar a história desses cantos, revisitar suas memórias e analisar sua teologia para compreender melhor o valor que a CNBB atribui a estas canções. Esta dissertação objetiva analisar a construção da história, memória e teologia das canções do Cancioneiro Popular das CEBs. Objetiva analisar de maneira histórico-teológico a arte produzida pelos adeptos da Teologia da Libertação. Essas Canções de Esperança são um patrimônio vivo, que trazem em si o legado das lutas, vitórias e derrotas dos que a todo custo tentaram denunciar as injustiças e anunciar que o reino já está entre nós. As canções cebianas trazem em si uma antecipação escatológica de uma realidade já existente, porém, ainda não completada. Nas canções das CEBs são facilmente encontradas traços da Teologia da Práxis e da Teologia da Esperança, por isso, a teologia apresentada nestas canções provocam uma inquietação no homem que por causa de Cristo não se contenta com a realidade dada, deseja contradizê-la. Percebe-se, assim, que a tensão faz parte da vida cristã – apesar da esperança – e que toda a vida do homem está embebida da índole escatológica que deve ser vivida à luz da Esperança maior que se faz realidade já aqui, mas ainda não é aqui. Logo, essas canções fomentam a luta para que a realidade do já seja uma antecipação do ainda não.

[en] The history, memory and theology, preserved in the verses of the songs produced by the Ecclesial Base Communities, are of paramount importance for Ecclesiastical History. The songs of the Popular Songbook of CEBs are a present reality in the Church of Brazil. It was necessary to enter the history of these songs, revisit their memories and analyze their theology to better understand the value that the CNBB attributes to these songs. This dissertation aims to analyze the construction of the history, memory and theology of the songs of the Popular Songbook of CEBs. It aims to analyze in a historical-theological way the art produced by the followers of Liberation Theology. These Songs of Hope are a living heritage that bring in themselves the legacy of the struggles, victories and defeats of those who at all costs tried to denounce injustice and announce that the kingdom is already among us. The Cebian songs bring in themselves an eschatological anticipation of an already existing reality, however, not yet completed. In the songs of CEBs, traces of the Theology of Praxis and Theology of Hope are easily found, so the theology presented in these songs provokes an uneasiness in the man who, because of Christ, is not content with the given reality, wants to contradict it. It is thus perceived that tension is part of the Christian life - in spite of hope - and that the whole life of man is embedded in the eschatological nature that must be…

[pt] A presente dissertação de mestrado tem como tema de investigação dois dos principais aspectos da poesia trágica do mundo grego antigo apontados pela reflexão desenvolvida por Aristóteles, na Poética: a noção de mimesis, que figura na própria definição da poesia trágica - tragédia é mimesis de ação - e a natureza da ação da qual a poesia trágica é mimesis; ou seja, o quê constitui uma ação verdadeiramente trágica. Com isso, o que procuramos foi a afirmação, não apenas da grandeza do olhar lançado por Aristóteles sobre a poesia trágica e o modo original como a tratou ao considerá-la enquanto um domínio próprio, enquanto um Cosmos, mas, sobretudo, a afirmação da Poética de Aristóteles, não obstante o seu caráter fragmentário, como obra originária de uma significativa reflexão acerca da essência da poesia trágica.

[en] The present dissertation investigates two of the most important aspects of ancient Greek poetry examined by Aristotle in the Poetics: the concept of mimesis, which constitutes part of the definition of tragic poetry - tragedy is mimesis of action - and the nature of the action of which tragic poetry is mimesis; what comprises a truly tragic action. Thus the aim was to affirm, not only the greatness of the ideas about tragic poetry that Aristotle proposed and the originality with which he treated the subject as independent of other forms, like a Cosmos, but also, above all, to affirm that Aristotle s Poetics, despite its fragmentary nature, could be thought as the first significant reflection about the essence of tragic poetry.

[pt] A reivindicação que Gadamer faz de um caráter prático para a hermenêutica filosófica se deve, em grande parte, a uma releitura da filosofia prática de Aristóteles - tendo como principal referência o livro VI da Ética a Nicômaco - fortemente influenciada pela leitura ontológica proposta por Martin Heidegger. A retomada das noções aristotélicas, principalmente, de práxis e phronesis, oferece a Gadamer a possibilidade de realçar uma implicação ético-política no cerne da questão da compreensão. Esta última passará a ser pensada nos termos da interpretaçãoaplicação que ocorre no âmbito da vida prática, onde toda compreensão encontra-se operante enquanto dimensão fundamental de todo lidar com as coisas. Por essa razão, a relação entre hermenêutica e práxis abre um âmbito de reflexão e discussão que tem como principal objetivo um engajamento em defesa da razão prática, em detrimento da consideração de que toda racionalidade deve se apresentar, fundamentalmente, como lógico-científica. Deste modo, visamos com este trabalho refletir sobre a questão da práxis tal como pensada por Gadamer, apontando para uma pretensão filosófica fundamental: a defesa de uma universalidade para sua ontologia da compreensão. Para Gadamer, pensar uma hermenêutica filosófica é pensar a experiência universal de compreensão mútua que é inseparável do acontecer da vida em comum. É este o âmbito, a um só tempo, compreensivo e prático da sua hermenêutica filosófica.

[en] Gadamer s claim of a practical character involved in philosophical hermeneutics is based, to a large extent, on a rereading of Aristotle s practical philosophy - having as a main reference, the sixth book of the Nicomachean Ethics - strongly influenced by Heidegger s ontological reading of Aristotle. The reappropriation of Aristotelian concepts, mainly, of praxis and phronesis, offers the possibility of bringing to light the existence of an ethical-political implication within the center of the question of understanding. Such a question turns to be thought in terms of the happening of interpretation-application that takes place in the scope of practical life where all understanding finds itself already operative in the commerce with things in general. In this way, the relation between hermeneutics and praxis opens a scope of reflection and discussion that has, as a main objective, an engagement in favor of practical reason, in contrast with logical-scientific arguments. In this way, our aim in this work is to approach the question of praxis such as thought by Gadamer, in the light of a basic philosophical aim: his claim of universality to his ontology of understanding. For Gadamer, the thought of philosophical hermeneutics is the thought of the universal experience of mutual understanding that is inseparable from the happening of communitarian life. Such a realm is, the comprehensive as well as practical one of his philosophical hermeneutics.
