[pt] Essa tese investiga a relação entre o espectador e a cena a partir de algumas experiências de dança contemporânea. Procura-se entender como os artistas trabalhados criam, cenicamente, novos modos de fazer circular afetos e sentidos convidando o espectador a se despir das posições a que tradicionalmente está atrelado, seja como alienado, seja como hermeneuta. A trajetória da coreógrafa e cineasta Yvonne Rainer é o ponto de partida para a reflexão sobre a complexa relação entre a cena e o espectador, na qual as dimensões política, afetiva e imaginária da experiência artítica se tensionam. Rainer pesquisa, desde os anos 60, formas do corpo em cena resistir à captura do olhar do espectador, através da valorização de sua materialidade. A tese procura pensar, portanto, a partir da trilha aberta pela coreógrafa, como essa noção de materialidade não se entende como uma forma que possa ser significada, mas como uma força que desestabiliza a ordem das representações e impele a novos modos de produzir e refletir acerca do sentido do mundo. A partir dos trabalhos de Rainer, Jérôme Bel e Ann Teresa de Keersmaeker, Lia Rodrigues e Israel Galván, em diálogo com o pensamento contemporâneo a respeito da relação entre arte, corpo e política, a tese se propõe a pensar, por fim, como a exposição cênica da vulnerabilidade pode ser concebida como uma estratégia de criação potente.

[en] The present thesis investigates the connections between the spectator and the scene through some experiences of contemporary dance, trying to understand how the artists here studied create, scenically, new modes of circulation of affects and senses. Thus, the spectator is invited to abandon its traditional positions in which he appears either as an alienated participant either as hermeneutist interpreting the codes of the scene. The trajectory of the choreograph and film maker Yvonne Rainer is the starting point to question the complex relationship between the scene and the spectator in wich the political, affective and imaginary aspects of the artistic experience are in permanent tension. Rainer searches since de 60 s ways to make the body resist to the capture of the spectator s gaze, by valuing it s intrinsic materiality. Trough the path opened by Rainer, the thesis wishes to understand materiality not as a form that can be signified but as a force that destabilizes the logic of representation and impele in the direction of new forms of producing and thinking about the sense of the world. Through the works of the performers Yvonne Rainer, Jérôme Bel, Ann Teresa de Keersmaeker, Lia Rodrigues and Israel Galván in dialogue with contemporary thinking about the connections between arts, politics and body the thesis intends, finally, to think of how the scenic exposure of vulnerability can be conceived as a powerful strategy of artistic creation.

[pt] Nosso trabalho buscou apresentar a concepção de juízo na obra de Hannah Arendt, cuja compreensão se apoia em uma livre interpretação do juízo reflexionante estético de Kant. As razões pelas quais Arendt teria se voltado para o tema refletem sua preocupação com o obscurecimento do mundo, cuja pluralidade esteve visivelmente ameaçada com o advento do totalitarismo. Para a pensadora, os acontecimentos sem precedentes decorrentes do totalitarismo fazem parte de um contexto em que a ausência de reflexão e uma consequente inabilidade para julgar o que se passava fizeram do século XX um dos mais sombrios períodos da história da humanidade. A faculdade do juízo reflexionante estético, capaz de refletir sobre o particular sem que exista um universal dado, foi pensada por Arendt em um contexto político, e suas características apontam para a necessidade de compreender sem corrimãos os assuntos mundanos que se apresentam na contemporaneidade. Poderíamos considerar uma teoria do juízo arendtiana apenas de um modo fragmentado, uma vez que esse foi um projeto de uma pesquisa teórica que não foi realizado integralmente por ela, e do qual temos um quebra-cabeça a ser montado. Suas peças podem ser resgatadas desde os seus primeiros ensaios, quando a ação política era o seu leit motif intelectual. Posteriormente, a partir do julgamento de Eichmann, quando ao cunhar a expressão banalidade do mal ela própria se tornou exemplar em seu juízo reflexionante. Julgar prospectivamente com uma mentalidade alargada ou retrospectivamente com desinteresse são, pois, lados possíveis da mesma moeda: o juízo de gosto, cujo resgate Arendt se esforçou em trazer à luz. Tal juízo possui as características da comunicabilidade e intersubjetividade que possibilitam a existência do mundo, entendido como o espaço entre homens e espaço de visibilidade do pensamento reflexivo. Por essa razão, a atividade de julgar assim compreendida é a única faculdade espiritual do homem capaz de estabelecer o horizonte da pluralidade.

[en] Our work intended to present the notion of judgment in the writings of Hannah Arendt, whose comprehension supports itself on a free interpretation of Kantian aesthetic reflective judgment. The reasons why Arendt would have turned herself to the theme reflect her concern about the darkening of the world, whose plurality had been visibly threatened by the advent of totalitarianism. For philosopher, the unprecedented events that came from totalitarianism are part of a context in which the lack of deliberation and a subsequent inability to judge what was happening made the 20th century one of the darkest periods of human history. Arendt studied the faculty of aesthetic reflective judgment, capable of deliberating about the particular without a given universal, in a political context, and its characteristics point to the necessity of comprehending without handrails the mundane topics that present themselves on contemporaneity. Marcel Duchamp ilustra a questão declarando, na sentença de abertura do seu texto O ato criador, Consideremos dois importantes fatores, os dois polos da criação artística: de um lado o artista, do outro o público, que mais tarde se transforma na posteridade. É desta dupla polaridade que se ocupa esta tese. Mais especificamente, ocupa-se, como princípio, da possibilidade de reconhecer no público ajuizador dos fenômenos estéticos, um lugar efetivo como salvaguarda de obras de arte. Neste sentido, caberia ao público-espectador proteger, preservar e garantir a integridade e a perenidade de obras artísticas. Do ponto de vista desta pesquisa é mediante a capacidade humana de julgar que se efetuaria a salvaguarda. Com efeito, o exercício do juízo é condição primeira fundamental para a efetuação da salvaguarda, porém, seguido de uma segunda condição: que o juízo se faça público ou, em outros termos, que se faça compartilhar. Ainda que incluso em uma malha de relações na qual figuram o artista, a obra artística e o local de exposição da obra, dentre outros componentes, o espectador, tradicionalmente, tem assumido papel acessório ou de permanente subordinação em suas relações com o mundo da arte. Um tanto alijado do plano das artes, parecem caber ao espectador (de fato, porém, não de direito) intervenções tímidas, periféricas, algo guiadas, impregnadas por uma suspeita de inoperância estética e de um despreparo como tradutor ou contratradutor dos fenômenos artísticos. Na tese, proponho que a relação entre o espectador e a obra seja tratada a partir de moldes kantianos. Naturalmente, dado o domínio dessas relações, o domínio artístico, refiro-me ao julgar, ou ao juízo, entendido em sua função reflexiva. Põe-se em causa, aqui, questões ligadas à contemplação, à produção de ideias, à comunicabilidade e à sociabilidade, bem como à ação do sujeito no mundo e à diversidade característica do discurso e do juízo. E, não tanto como um desdobramento, mas como algo intrínseco, quiçá anterior a todas estas questões, põe-se em causa, também, o lugar ocupado pelo sujeito do juízo de um ponto de vista político. Como nos lembra Hannah Arendt, sempre que a relevância do discurso (do juízo, neste caso) entra em jogo, a questão torna-se política por definição, pois é o discurso que faz do homem um ser político. Na tese, o espectador é proposto como sujeito do juízo, o juízo como lugar da salvaguarda e a salvaguarda se efetivando na condição da promulgação pública e compartida do juízo. Neste contexto, o espectador, em sua singularidade, é sempre plural, diverso, não necessariamente conforme e cultor de relações intersubjetivas. Por sua vez, o juízo é público, manifesto, partilhável, disponível a qualquer outro e portador de uma dimensão criativa que reconstrói o sentido da obra artística por meio do seu testemunho. [pt] Com o avanço do poder de processamento gráfico e a popularização dos jogos eletrônicos, começam a surgir novas formas de entretenimento, entre elas a de espectadores de jogos. Os requisitos para o posicionamento de câmera para os espectadores visualizarem os jogos são diferentes dos aplicados aos jogadores. Enquanto a câmera para os jogadores deve atender a requisitos de jogabilidade, a câmera para os espectadores deve explorar diferentes ângulos de visualização a fim de aumentar a imersão no ambiente dos jogos e explorar a emoção das cenas. O cinema já evoluiu toda uma linguagem cinematográfica que potencializa a interpretação de cenas. Pesquisas recentes procuram usar a cinematografia na visualização de jogos. O principal desafio na adaptação da cinematografia para os jogos reside na existência de um ambiente dinâmico, onde não se pode prever o andamento da história. Podemos identificar três módulos para a adaptação da cinematografia em jogos: roteirista, responsável por identificar o que está ocorrendo na cena; diretor/editor, responsável por definir as melhores tomadas para capturar a cena; cinegrafista, responsável por posicionar a câmera no ambiente dinâmico para melhor atender às demandas do módulo diretor/editor. Este trabalho propõe a implementação de um módulo cinegrafista. A partir de requisitos para o posicionamento da câmera oriundos de um módulo externo, propõe-se um modelo de câmera que faz o posicionamento automático da câmera. Os requisitos de posicionamento são expressos em um conjunto de restrições que devem ser atendidas pelo modelo de câmera. A câmera usa um modelo físico baseado em um sistema de partículas regido pelo método de Verlet, empregando o método de relaxação para a convergência do sistema a fim de atender às restrições impostas. Experimentos computacionais demonstram a capacidade do módulo proposto de atender a sofisticadas regras de posicionamento de câmera, baseando-se em composições de restrições simples. Princípios da cinematografia, como enquadramento, posicionamento e movimento de câmeras, e respeito à linha de ação, são facilmente respeitados pelo módulo proposto.

[en] With the evolution in graphics processing power and the popularization of electronic games, new forms of entertainment, such as being a game spectator. The requirements for positioning the camera for the spectators to view the games are different from those applied to players. The camera for the players must fulfill playability requirements, while the camera for the spectators must explore different viewing angles in order to increase the immersion in the game environment and to explore the thrill of the scenes. The cinema has evolved a whole cinematographic language that optimizes the scene interpretation. Recent research has been seeking to apply cinematography to game visualization.
