Cette mémoire est une analyse du subtexte immanent dans le roman « 1979 » (2001) de Christian Kracht, auteur suisse, qui est le plus connu pour son début « Faserland » (1995). Ces oeuvres sont situées dans le mouvement de la littérature Pop allemande des années 1990 et en résultent en même temps. Dans ce contexte, le climat socio-politique après la réunification, notamment le Literaturstreit, jouera un rôle important dans mon interprétation comme fond de la poésie de Kracht. J’exposerai les difficultés que le discours de la littérature Pop porte en ce qui concerne l’œuvre de cet auteur, qui, même s’il est vu en général comme fondateur de ce genre littéraire en Allemagne, ne considère pas ses textes comme littérature Pop dans ses déclarations notoirement problématiques. Je devrais objecter que Kracht est en combat avec la littérature Pop d’une façon stylistique et pas rarement ironique, ce qui traverse la définition étroite dominante. Il fait cela en adoptant sur l’un côté le trait le plus signifiant du genre, à savoir le caractère superficiel extrêmement descriptif et en transmettant sur l’autre côté un message moral profond, ce qui rend impossible la classification de ses textes comme Pop, signifiant seulement le divertissement ou l’archivisme de Moritz Bassler. En fait, la fréquence de signifiants de Pop dans les textes de Kracht créent par leur arrangement un réseau de sens qui, dans le paradigme post- moderne, peut être décrit le mieux avec le terme « rhizome » de Gilles Deleuze et Félix Guattari. En faisant ça, Kracht suit une autre tradition qui traverse les limites de la littérature Pop, comme il se sert de la décadence, de l’esthétisme et du symbolisme du fin-du-siècle d’un Hugo von Hofmannsthal, d’un Stefan George et d’un Joris-Karl Huysmans avec leurs pointes de mise en garde contre les déficits du modernisme, du libéralisme et du capitalisme, d’une façon nommée « fondamentalisme esthétique » par le sociologiste Stefan Breuer. Cette recherche se référera aux interprétations originales des textes source, aux évaluations de littérature d’accompagnement, à savoir des manuels scolaires en critique littéraire, en sociologie et en histoire allemande, aux comptes rendu, dissertations et entrevues et aux textes philosophiques. Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit untersucht die Kategorie des Wunderbaren in Christoph Martin Wielands „Der neue Amadi“s. Die Analyse baut auf der Definition des Wunderbaren im 18. Jahrhundert auf. Da hierbei zwischen Johann Jakob Bodmer, Johann Jakob Breitinger und Johann Christoph Gottsched aufgrund eines entfachten Literaturstreits, welcher das Wunderbare thematisierte, keine endgültige Wortbedeutung gefunden werden konnte, zog ich zusätzlich eine aktuelle Auseinandersetzung von Tzvetan Todorov heran. Des Weiteren wurden sämtliche relevante biografische Daten und wesentliche Schriften, welche Christoph Martin Wielands Bezug zum Wunderbaren abbilden, herangezogen, um seinen Standpunkt in der Debatte um das Wunderbare darzustellen. Als Grundlage für die erzähltheoretischen Untersuchungen diente die „Einführung in die Erzähltheorie“ von Matìas Martìnez und Michael Scheffel. In der vorliegenden Diplomarbeit konnten einige Aspekte auf der inhaltlichen Ebene aufgezeigt werden, welche meine These, dass sich das Wunderbare im „Neuen Amadis“ mehr auf der Handlungsebene zeigt als in der Form, bekräftigen. Die erzählte Welt, hierbei vor allem die wunderbaren Wesen, Requisiten und Schauplätze, bot eine besondere Dichte an Wunderbarem. Zusätzlich untermauerten zahlreiche Märchenelemente, eine hohe Komplexität der Handlung, der ungewöhnliche Einsatz des Komischen sowie detailreiche Beschreibungen wunderbarer Begebenheiten das Wunderbare in dem untersuchten Werk.

The diploma thesis is about the examination of the marvelous in Christoph Martin Wieland’s “Der neue Amadis”. The analysis is primarily based on the definition of the word marvelous in the 18th century. Even then Johann Jakob Bodmer, Johann Jakob Breitinger and Johann Christoph Gottsched tried to define the marvelous, which led to an intense dispute between them. This results in the circumstance that it was impossible to find a final definition. Because of that I consulted Tzvetan Todorov’s latest views, too. By comparing Wieland’s biography with his works and writings, which were connected to the marvelous, I tried to figure out his view about this topic. The point of departure of the narratology was “Einführung in die Erzähltheorie” by Matìas Martìnez and Michael Scheffel. The present diploma thesis shows some aspects which confirm respectively emphasize the claim, that the content of “Der neue Amadis” has more influence on the marvelous than the manner does. Above all the marvelous characters, the requisites and the theatres of operation are expressing the density of the marvelous in “Der neue Amadis” quite well. In addition to that the elements of fairy tales, the complexity of the plot and the unusual and strange detailed descriptions of marvelous aspects are also supporting my thesis.

Christa Wolfs "Was bleibt" (i svensk oversettelse 1991 under tittelen "Vad blir kvar") står i sentrum av denne avhandlingen som undersøker dens kontekst, paratekst og tekst. Utgangspunktet for avhandlingen er observasjonen at den så kalte tysk-tyske litteraturstriden – som startet i juni 1990 i de store vesttyske avisene Die Zeit og Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung – egentlig ikke handler om teksten, men ble brukt som påskudd for å delegitimere forfatteren politisk. Ved siden av avhandlingens innledning der dens tema og oppbygning blir presentert og det blir redegjort for det teoretisk-metodiske grunnlaget, består avhandlingen av 3 kapitler som går inn på bokas kontekst (først og fremst den historisk-politiske rammen fra 1970-tallet og frem til murens fall og Tysklands gjenforening), dens paratekst (ved siden av de forskjellige bokutgivelser og omslag blir det fokusert på manuskripter til teksten, teksten i forskjellige medier og til slutt en innholdsanalyse av litteraturstriden) og tekst, før det i et avsluttende kapittel blir sett på forholdet mellom tekst og dokument.
