▼ ”Det kan vara så att de är färdiga med fritids” är en studie om varför en del barn efter årskurs tre väljer att inte vistas på fritidshemmet. Syftet är att ta reda på vilka faktorer som gör att en del barn väljer att sluta på fritidshemmet efter tredjeklass. Studien har tagit utgångspunkt i frågeställningarna: Hur säger sig fritidspedagogerna arbeta för att höja kvaliteten för barn mellan 10-12 år på fritidshemmet?, Hur ser barn i åldern 10-12 år på sin tid i fritidshemmet? och Hur resonerar föräldrar kring barnens vara eller icke-vara på fritidshem? Studien utgår bland annat ifrån Skolverkets styrdokument men även relevant forskning och teoretiska begrepp. Det har inte forskats så mycket om fritidshemmet och än mindre om varför en del barn efter tredjeklass väljer att inte vistas på fritidshemmet. Därför såg vi ett behov av att beforska detta. Vi har utfört åtta semistrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer med en utbildad fritidspedagog och en utan utbildning som fritidspedagog men med många års erfarenhet av arbete på fritidshem, fyra barn som är inskrivna på fritidshem, fyra barn som inte är inskrivna på fritidshem samt två föräldrar till barn som inte är på fritidshem längre. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades efteråt. Den empiri vi fått fram har sedan analyserats utifrån våra frågeställningar och med hjälp av tidigare nämnda styrdokument, tidigare forskning och teoretisk förankring. Vi har dragit slutsatsen i vår studie att kamrater, den fria leken och meningserbjudande aktiviteter är en del av de faktorer som har betydelse till att man väljer att stanna kvar respektive sluta på fritidshemmet. Barnen har uttryckt att de inte tycker det är roligt på fritidshemmen, dels för att aktiviteterna inte är roliga och dels för att kamraterna har valt att sluta vilket resulterar i att det inte finns så många jämnåriga att vara med. Fritidspedagogerna har en annan uppfattning om att barnen är delaktiga i besluten av aktiviteter och att barnen tycker det är roligt. Föräldrarna delar i mångt och mycket barnens uppfattning.

▼ Syftet med arbetet är att ta reda på hur företrädare för och verksamma i skolor resonerar kring kost och hälsa, till exempel om de känner till Livsmedelsverkets riktlinjer samt om de anser att skolan uppfyller dem. Jag ville också ta reda på hur skolorna bidrar till att förbättra elevernas matvanor, samt hur elevernas matvanor ser ut. Undersökningen genomfördes i form av en enkät på tre olika skolor från olika områden i en sydsvensk stad. På varje skola deltog en rektor, en fritidspedagog och två klasser, en årskurs fem och en årskurs sex. Totalt deltog nio personer ur personalen samt 132 elever i undersökningen. Den teoretiska anknytningen till arbetet handlar om att se hälsan ur ett helhetsperspektiv; fysisk, psykisk och social hälsa. En annan teori var hur viktigt det är att lära barnen ta egna beslut, att ansvaret inte bara behöver ligga hos pedagogerna och föräldrarna, utan också hos barnen själva. Resultatet visade att kunskapen finns hos både personal och elever om hur viktig kosten är för prestation och orken i skolan. Kunskapen fanns också om hur skolorna bör arbeta med kost och hälsa samt vilken mat som är bra för god hälsa. Samtidigt visade det att skolans matmiljö inte var bra, den är generellt stressig och väldigt högljudd. Det fanns otydligheter om vem som bär ansvaret för undervisningen om kost och hälsa. Brister fanns i samarbetet mellan fritidspedagoger och annan personal. Viss personal antydde att undervisningen om kost och hälsa inte behöver stärkas, samtidigt visade det sig att många elever inte äter frukost. Det var mer än hälften som inte gillar maten i skolan samt en stor andel elever som inte äter frukt varje dag. Det framstod också skillnader i resultatet beroende på skolans placering i kommunen. En skola i ett område karakteriserat av låg utbildningsnivå och låg inkomst visade att eleverna äter färre måltider jämfört med eleverna på en skola i ett område förknippat med hög utbildning och hög inkomst. Det finns saker att förbättra men också saker som är positiva. Personalen arbetar i en skola innehållande goda kunskaper och de har stora förutsättningar till att göra det ännu bättre. Något som har speglats i informanternas uttalanden, är att de är medvetna om vilka riktlinjer och rekommendationer som finns till skolan angående skolmaten. Således finns en medvetenhet om vikten av att arbeta med kost i kunskapsutvecklande och hälsofrämjande syfte.

Både nationella och internationella mätningar visar att de svenska elevernas resultat sjunker i de naturvetenskapliga ämnena (Utbildningsstatistiksenheten 2015; Skolverket 2014). För att motverka denna trend anser många forskare att man bör arbeta med språket explicit (Gibbons 2013; Hajer & Meestringa 2014; Johansson & Sandström 2015). Emellertid är det många lärare som saknar kunskap om hur man kan arbeta med språk- och ämnesintegrering i undervisningen. Dessutom är den naturvetenskapliga diskursen så pass abstrakt att Hajer (2015) menar att den bör ses som ett nytt språk. Därför exemplifierar vi i denna studie hur man kan arbeta med språkinriktad undervisning i teknik med elever i de yngre åldrarna genom att designa undervisning, som utförts under åtta lektioner i årskurs två. Denna klass delas sedan in i två jämförelsegrupper, starka- och svaga- textbrukare. För att mäta kunskapsutvecklingen användes för-, efter- och fördröjd eftertest som bedöms kvalitativt i en matris. Med hjälp av matrisen och analys av ordval skapas dessutom kvantitativ data. Både kvalitativ och kvantitativ data analyseras sedan med hjälp av Vygotskij sociokulturella teori och genrepedagogikens mode kontinuum. Resultatet visar att genom arbete med språkinriktad undervisning har eleverna kunnat tillägna sig både kunskap om språket och ämnet. Vidare visar resultatet att för elever som anses vara svaga textbrukare har denna typ av undervisning stor betydelse vid språk- och kunskapsutveckling. Undervisningsförsöket behandlar teknikämnet men vi anser att de metoder som används även går att applicera på övriga naturvetenskapliga ämnen och i arbetet talar vi därför om kunskapsutveckling i både naturvetenskap och teknik.

Both national and international surveys show that the Swedish pupils' performance drops in the natural sciences (Utbildningsstatistiksenheten 2015; Skolverket 2014), and as remedy to this trend, many researchers suggest explicit work with the language (Gibbons 2013; Hajer & Meestringa 2014; Johansson & Sandström 2015). However, many teachers lack the knowledge of how to work with language and subject integration in their classes. Moreover, the scientific discourse is seen as an abstract language that Hajer (2015) argues should be seen as a new language. Therefore, in this study we want to exemplify how to work with language-oriented teaching in technology with pupils in lower elementary school. To demonstrate this, we have designed a unit in technology education, which was conducted during eight lessons in grade two. The class was then split into two comparison groups, strong- and weak-text users. The pupils also did pre-, post- and delayed post-tests. The tests are then assessed qualitatively in a matrix. Using the matrix and analysis of the vocabulary we also created quantitative data. ▼ Metacognitive listening instruction is the method recommended to Swedish teachers by the Swedish National Board of Education (Skolverket) in a document authored by Lena Börjesson (2012) found in the commentary material to the steering documents. This method is based on a metacognitive pedagogical sequence of L2 listening instruction suggested by Vandergrift and Goh (2012). In this study, I test this method using action research. The participants of the study were first year upper secondary school students from a vocational program, the control group consisted of students from a preparatory program. In general, the treatment group exhibited low motivation to study, while the second group had higher motivation. Both groups attended an upper secondary school in the South of Sweden. During seven classes, the treatment group (n=16) received training in the method, and the control group (n=21) was given more traditional tests during six classes. In this study, I used the following methods to obtain my data: the PET listening test, the listening segment of the Swedish National Test of English and the Metacognitive Awareness Listening Questionnaire (MALQ). The results demonstrated that both groups improved their results on the listening aptitude test significantly; however, the treatment group did not with a statistical significance improve more than the control group. Secondly, the students did not perceive that they were using more strategies after the explicit strategy training they had received; both groups reported to using strategies less, as the listening texts became increasingly difficult. Thirdly, the students from the two groups did not report perceiving any difference in learning how to listen, despite one of the groups receiving explicit instruction in listening strategies. Finally, the students both in the treatment group and in the control group have reported to increasing listening anxiety after the instructional period, but the levels of anxiety increased less in the treatment group. The results of this study thus do not unequivocally suggest the effectiveness of the method for teaching listening recommended by Skolverket. ▼ The purpose of this research is to investigate if test constructors, language examiner and teachers take Swedish L2 students in consideration when creating tests in history. The purpose is also to discover what types of assignments that best evaluate Swedish L2 students’ knowledge and abilities, and examine the teachers view of the Swedish national assessment in the subject history. The first research question is: How do test constructors, language examiner and teachers take Swedish L2 students’ in consideration when creating tests in history? And which are the challenges? The second research question is: What kinds of assignments best evaluate Swedish L2 students’ knowledges and abilities in the subject history according to the classified statistics, test constructors, language examiner and teachers? The third research question is: What are the teachers' views on the Swedish national assessment in grade nine? This research is composed of qualitative interviews with three test constructors who create the national assessment in history and seven teachers from three schools. One of the interviewed teachers is also interviewed for her role as a language examiner. The research is also based on a study of confidential statistics from the SAT history test. The main theoretical concepts of the study address to guidelines in Vygotsky’s theory of proximal development and Drie and Boxtels theoretical framework for historical reasoning. As well as research of the difficulties Swedish L2 students’ meet in the Swedish language. Other central concepts of the study are validity and reliability. The empirical findings suggest that test constructors, language examiner and teachers meet many challenges but they do their best to take all students in consideration and follow criterias when constructing assessment for Swedish L2 learners. The test constructors use a language examiner who scan and rewrite grammatical query constructions, and the teachers use different methods to take all students in consideration. Many teachers are in an agreement that the national assessment in history is well constructed, useful and inspiring. There is a belief among the interviewed participants that L2 students find it easier to respond to open questions. However, this is not verified by the analysis of statistics. The test constructors and the language examiner also consider closed questions to be more secure to measure. The research is concluded by a discussion that all students might improve their skills if teachers were adapting the grammatical rewrites as the test constructors and language examiner do. Another conclusion is also that there are both advantages and disadvantages with open and closed questions. Open questions are preferable for Swedish L2 students, however closed questions are more safe to measure. Finally, many teachers are pleased with the national assessment in history. Although it is discussed if L2 students would benefit from doing the test orally instead of writing.

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka tre lärares arbete med läsförståelse, samt se om de har förändrat sina undervisningsmetoder när det gäller läsförståelse efter den nya läroplanen Lgr 11. Jag har presenterat tidigare forskning och litteratur som behandlar ämnet läsförståelse. Studien utgår från Vygotskijs sociokulturella teori för inlärning. En central tankegång i denna teori är att barn utvecklas i samspel med andra och att den sociala omgivningen har en stor inverkan. Med hjälp av kvalitativa undersökningsmetoder, vilket innebär intervju och fokusgruppsintervju, har jag tagit reda på lärarnas undervisningsmetoder gällande läsförståelse. Resultatet av studien visar att det har kommit material om undervisningsmetoder i läsförståelse som lärarna använder sig mer eller mindre. Kunskapen och intresset för läsförståelsestrategier hos lärarna visade sig vara stort. Vidare visar studien att lärarnas undervisningssätt inte har förändrats pga. Lgr11, utan snarare för att de har fått fortbildning och ny forskning och arbetsmaterial blivit lättillgänglig.

The purpose of this work is to investigate three teachers work with reading comprehension, and to see if they have changed their teaching practices when it comes to reading comprehension for the new curriculum Lgr 11. I have presented earlier research and literature that deals with the subject reading comprehension. The study is based on Vygotsky's sociocultural theory of learning. A central idea in this theory is that children develop in interaction with others and the social environment has a big impact. With the help of qualitative research methods, ie interviews and focus group interview, I have taken out the teaching methods of teachers regarding reading comprehension. The results of the study show that there has been material on teaching methods in reading comprehension that teachers use more or less. Knowledge and interest in reading comprehension strategies among teachers turned out to be great. The study also shows that teachers' teaching methods have not changed due. Lgr11, but rather that they have received training and new research and work materials become accessible
