Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur pedagoger ser på lek och dess relation till barns lärande. Frågeställningarna som vi i studien utgår ifrån är följande:  Hur ser pedagogerna på barns lek?  Hur ser pedagoger på relationen mellan barns lek och lärande? Vår uppsats är en traditionell studie med en kvalitativ ansats med intervjuer som metod. Empirin samlades in genom intervjuer, intervjuerna genomfördes i en sexavdelnings förskola i Skåne, till intervjuerna medverkade fyra förskollärare med långa yrkeserfarenheter. Vi använde oss av ljudinspelningar när intervjuerna genomfördes. Vi har använt oss av två kända teoretiker, Lev Vygotskij (1896-1934) och Jean Piaget(1896- 1980) samt skandinaviska nutida forskare, för att analysera, förstå och fördjupa oss i det som pedagogerna har delat med sig av under intervjuerna. Resultatet av arbetet visar att pedagogerna anser att leken är en viktig del i förskolan och menar att det är i leken som barn utvecklar sitt mångsidiga lärande i olika ämnesområden så som matematik, natur, teknik, språk och även skapar sociala färdigheter. Men det händer ständigt att lärandet avbryts på grund av inplanerande aktiviteter och måltider.

The purpose of this work is to investigate how teachers views at the play and its relationship to children's learning. The questions that we study is based on the following: - How do the teachers on children's play? -What are the educators of the relationship between children's play and learning? Our paper is a traditional study with a qualitative approach with interviews as a method. The empirical data were collected through interviews, the interviews were conducted in a sexavdelnings preschool in Skåne, the interviews involved four preschool teachers with long professional experience. We used the audio recordings when the interviews were conducted. We have used two well-known theorist Lev Vygotsky (1896-1934) and Jean Piaget (1896-1980) and Scandinavian contemporary researchers, to analyze, understand and immerse ourselves in what educators have shared during the interviews. The results of this work show that teachers believe that play is an important part of pre-school and believes that it is in the game as a child develops his versatile learning in different subjects such as maths, science, technology, language, and also creates social skills. But it happens constantly that learning is disrupted by inplanerande activities and meals.

Problemområde: Forskning visar att kompetensutveckling för grundskollärare i många fall inte leder till att lärarna utvecklas i sitt yrke och inte kommer eleverna till del. Med min studie vill jag bidra till ett bättre organiserande av lärares kompetens-utveckling samt till att en förbättrad fortbildningskultur på grundskolor ska skapas. Metod: Jag har intervjuat nio personer som deltar i Matematiklyftet: rektor, handledare och sju lärare. För att ha ett bra underlag för intervjuerna har jag utgått från forskningslitteratur inom området kompetensutveckling för grundsskolärare. Det empiriska materialet har analyserats utifrån fem viktiga områden jag identifierat i facklitteraturen. Resultat: Min studie bekräftar att de i forskning identifierade fem viktiga områdena kollegialt lärande, rektor, extern person, organisationskultur och förväntningar är av stor betydelse för att kompetensutveckling ska bli framgångsrik. Min studie visar även att lärare, rektor och handledare upplever glädje men även frustration och oro i samband med Matematiklyftet. Min studie visar att samtliga faktorer ovan måste tas hänsyn till för att ett fungerande projekt ska ha möjlighet att leda till en utvecklad fortbildningskultur på skolan på längre sikt.

Problem: Research shows that professional development of compulsory school teachers in many cases does not lead to teachers increasing their professional skills and that students do not benefit from it. In my study, I want to contribute to a better organization of teachers' professional development and work for an improved training culture in compulsory schools. Method: I have interviewed nine people involved in Matematiklyftet: principal, supervisor and seven teachers. In order to have a good basis for the interviews, I based my interview guide from research literature in the area of professional development for compulsory school teachers. The empirical data have been analyzed according to five key areas I have identified in the literature. Result: My study confirms that the -in research identified- five key areas: peer learning, principal, external person, organization culture and expectations are all of great importance if professional development is to be successful. My study also shows that teachers, principal and supervisor experience joy but also frustration and anxiety associated with Matematiklyftet. ▼ Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur barns samspel kommer till uttryck på en förskoleavdelning för barn mellan ett och tre år för att få ökad förståelse för hur pedagoger kan skapa goda förutsättningar för barns sociala gemenskap. I studien användes en kvalitativ metod i form av två olika observationsmetoder, som är fältanteckningar och videoobservation. Observationerna genomfördes på en förskola, där jag deltog som en känd icke deltagande observatör. För att kunna analysera materialet och diskutera resultatet användes Daniel Sterns teori om känsla av självets utveckling. Stern förklarar att känsla av själv utvecklas i samspel och kommunikation med andra. Det subjektiva självet och det verbala självet var de relaterande domänerna som var huvudfokus i studien, eftersom dessa känslor av själv berör barn i åldrarna ett till tre år. Resultaten visar att i ett bekräftat samspel utbyter barnen sina tidigare erfarenheter med varandra och de får en känsla av samhörighet. Barnet får förståelse för att andra barn också har ett inre liv med vilja, känslor och avsikter. Denna förståelse gör att barnet delar sina upplevelser med andra genom leken och får förståelsen för sig själv och omgivningen. Resultatet i undersökningen visar ytterligare att barnens nyfikenhet och intresse för varandra samt den gemensamma aktiviteten lockar dem till samspel i de olika samspelssekvenserna. Barnen använde både verbal och icke-verbal kommunikation för att uttrycka sig på såsom blickar, ansiktsuttryck och kroppsspråk i form av miner, ljud, skratt och gester. Det förekom olika känslor i samspelssekvenserna såsom glädje, missnöje och ilska. Barnen uttryckte glädje med hjälp av kroppen, framförallt när de imiterade varandra. Glädjen syntes tydligt i deras ansikten. När det uppstod konflikter mellan barnen kring leksaker eller när de inte kom överens med varandra i leken och inte fick sin vilja i genom uttryckte de ilska och irritation. Barnen blev arga och ledsna och uttryckte sina känslor med ord och med hjälp av kroppsspråket.

▼ In the run-up to the Swedish national election 2014, humanism became a central concept in the debate. Foreign policy is normally not very prominent in Swedish election debates, but ongoing developments in the surrounding world and intensified domestic polemics regarding immigration, generated focus on aid and refugee reception. In this debate, political parties as well as other key representatives repeatedly used words such as human, humane, humanity and humanitarian in order to describe a situation or to motivate a certain position. This thesis seeks to answer questions about how these concepts are used in the debate, what they mean and how the discourse forms policy and politics. The investigation is guided by a critical constructivist theory, and the analysis consists of four parts: Quantitative mapping of how the words are utilized; Semiotic analysis of the meaning of certain elements in the discourse; Analysis of representation; Discussion about how discourse forms reality. The results indicate that humanism is unanimously accepted as holding a positive meaning, or at least something that parties want to be associated with, which ought to differ it from other isms. There is a strong connection between discourse, political action, and reality. The study identifies a number of contexts where humanism occurs, namely: 1) Description of the Swedish society; 2) Support for Human Rights; 3) Sweden's responsibility to provide support; 4) Labelling certain politics, policies or reforms; 5) Description of situation in another country; 6) Description of another party; 7) Without direct reference to politics. In all categories of utilization of humanism, there were layers of meaning in the word choice or way a certain language was used. Differences in total frequency of humanism including all related key words can neither be explained by size of the party nor by the left-right political scale. There are however a number of factors that appear significant to understand variations in frequency, word choice and underlying norms and messages, including: normative context, political position (opposition/government), political color, media format, development norms, preconceived stereotypes, power-relations.

Denna uppsats undersöker ideella organisationers användande av sociala medier. Syftet är att presentera hur ideella organisationer använder sig av tvåvägskommunikation på sociala medier och hur de kan optimera sitt användande av detta. Dessutom förklaras vilka effekter tvåvägskommunikation respektive envägskommunikation har på följares engagemang på sociala medier. Målet är att presentera hur en ideell organisation kan använda sig av de sociala mediernas förutsättningar för tvåvägskommunikation och vilka effekter detta kan ha för dem. Uppsatsen använder sig av en kvalitativ metod för att få en inblick i hur ideella organisationer upplever sitt användande av sociala medier och tvåvägskommunikation specifikt. Av denna anledning utförs en intervju för att fråga ut sex Sverigebaserade organisationer kring deras erfarenheter. Dessutom utförs en innehållsanalys av de valda organisationernas Facebooksidor för att kunna jämföra detta med intervjuresultaten för att öka undersökningens validitet. Uppsatsens slutsats är att ideella organisationers tvåvägskommunikation på sociala medier kan förbättras genom användandet av statistiska verktyg. En annan slutsats är att ideella organisationer till högre grad använder sig av tvåvägskommunikation än envägskommunikation på sina Facebooksidor. Dessutom konkluderar uppsatsen att envägskommunikation genererar fler reaktioner och kommentarer från användare på Facebook än tvåvägskommunikation, medan tvåvägskommunikation genererar flest delningar.

This paper researches non-profit organizations’ use of social media. The aim is to present how non-profit organizations make use of two-way communication on social media and its effects. The paper also shows the effects on follower participation through use of two-way communication compared to use of one-way communication and recommends how to improve it. The paper consists of a qualitative method in order to learn more of the experiences of social media and two-way communication by non-profit organizations. Six Swedish organizations are researched through both interviews and content analyses of the organizations’ Facebook pages in order to compare the two and thus increase the validity of the research. The conclusion of this essay is that non-profit organizations make use of two-way communication on social media more often than one-way communication. Use of two-way communication leads to a higher amount of shares on Facebook posts than the use of one-way communication, while one-way communication instead leads to a higher amount of likes and comments. One way for non-profit organizations to improve their use of two-way communication is through statistical tools made available on the different platforms.

Dagens webbyråer ligger i en ständig kamp för att hålla sig i utvecklingens framkant. Det digitala samhället förändras och privatpersoner som egenföretagare kan på ett enkelt sätt skapa sin egen hemsida. Därmed förväntas webbutvecklarna kunna leverera tjänster av hög kvalité som kräver stor erfarenhet och kunskap. Hur påverkas då de webbyråer som är ute efter att hålla sig i utvecklingens framkant? Många större företag väljer att arbeta utefter processledning med hjälp av modeller för att höja kvalitén i deras produktion. För en webbyrå kan det ses som svårt då inget projekt brukar vara sig likt. Studien syftar till att bidra med ökad kunskap i hur en processmodells tillämpning vid en webbyrås interna tjänsteproduktion inom ett större projekt kan bidra till förbättringar för att hinna med i den medietekniska utvecklingens framkant. Studien använder sig av kvalitativa intervjuer med medarbetare samt Dicander Alexanderssons processmodell med processkartläggning för analys och en diskussion. Resultatet visar ett samband mellan att arbeta med processmodeller inom webbyråer kan bidra med förbättringar då problem lyckades identifieras samt att en del av medarbetare redan arbetade med privata modeller. I diskussionen framgick oväntade aktiviteter som annars inte identifierats med vare sig analys eller Dicander Alexanderssons processmodell. På grund av tidsbrister, stress och korta uppföljningsmöten visar det sig vara svårt att hålla sig i utvecklingens framkant. Men genom att analysera tjänsteproduktionen en gång i månaden med en modell för att se om problem lokaliseras i de varierande projekten kan bidra till förbättringar. Det svåra med att förlita sig på en modell är på grund av den stora variationen i projekt som skedde inom företagen. En processmodell tar däremot upp de problem som medarbetarna uppfattade som viktigast på byråarna.

Today's web agencies are in a constant battle to stay in the forefront. The digital society is changing and private persons can easily create their own websites. Web developers are expected to deliver services of high quality that requires great experience and knowledge. So how do the web agencies stay at the cutting edge of technologies? Larger companies choose to work along process management using models to enhance the quality of their production. For a web agency it can be seen as difficult as no projects usually are the same. The study aims to contribute to increased knowledge of how a process model functions at a web agencie’s internal production and how it can contribute to improvements to keep up with the media forefront of technological development. The study uses qualitative interviews with employees as well as Dicander Alexandersson’s process model with process mapping for analysis and discussion. Syftet är att undersöka konstruktioner kring avlönat hushållsarbete i 10 debattartiklar i Aftonbladet och Dagens Nyheter samt på företagshemsidorna Hemfrid och HomeMaid i förhållande till arbete, kön och etnicitet. Vidare undersöks hur jämställdhet och jämlikhet kan förstås. Materialurvalet är gjort med förhoppningen att visa en ideologisk och praktisk sida. Inledningsvis ges historisk bakgrund och sedan behandlas nutid och hur upptakten till det politiska beslutet angående Rut-avdraget sett ut. Två teoretiska utgångspunkter utifrån genusvetenskaplig och intersektionell kontext ges och sedan förklaras begreppen arbete, kön, etnicitet, jämställdhet och jämlikhet. Metoden är en kvalitativ textanalys med inspiration av diskursanalys. Här ligger fokus på språk och hur det skapar mening. Debattartiklarna talar om arbetet som både positivt och negativt utifrån arbetsmöjligheter och relationer mellan köpare och utförare. Så kallat manligt och kvinnligt arbete jämförs och en statusskillnad diskuteras. Etnicitet beskrivs utifrån jämförelsen av utföraren som invandrad kvinna och köparen som den vanliga människan, vilket kan ses skapa ”vi” och ”dem”. Jämställdhet och jämlikhet kopplas till lönearbete och makten att påverka sitt arbete. På hemsidorna ligger fokus på en servicebeskrivning och arbetet blir en kvinnlig domän där kvinnor återfinns i olika positioner, vilket kan sägas både återskapa och förnya synen på hushållsarbetet. Vidare är fokus på familjen med vit hudfärg, vilket kan ses vara företagens syn på hur potentiella köparna ser ut. Den invandrade kvinnan skildras utifrån en framgångsbeskrivning vilket skiljer sig från en så kallad eländesbeskrivning. Här ges sken av en jämställd och jämlik domän där ansvaret framförallt ligger på en kvinnans axlar.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the discussion about paid domestic labor in 10 debate articles from Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter and the companies Hemfrid and HomeMaids websites in relation to labor, gender and ethnicity. Furthermore it examines how gender equality and equality can be understood. The thesis intends to demonstrate an ideological and a practical side. A historical background and contemporary perspectives are given. Then theoretical aspects on gender and intersectionality are presented, and definitions on labor, gender, ethnicity, gender equality and equality are introduced. The method is a qualitative text analysis inspired by discourse analysis with focus on how language creates meaning. The result of the thesis shows how the debate articles discuss the paid domestic work as both positive and negative based on work opportunities and relationships between buyers and providers; in addition so-called male and female work is compared. Ethnicity is described based on the comparison of the performer as an immigrant woman and the buyer as a common person. Gender equality and equality are connected to paid work. Under 50- och 60-talet i USA växte bilismen och städer byggde väldigt mycket motorvägar. Trots detta började då i Washington, D.C. det förlopp som skulle leda till att de fick en tunnelbana på 70-talet. Denna uppsats studerar hur denna osannolika och oväntade tunnelbana kunde uppstå med hjälp av teorin om stigberoende. Genom att använda teorin om stigberoende som ett analytiskt verktyg, identifierar denna uppsats följande: (1) vilka små händelser, även kallade formativa moment, som startade processen att ge D.C. en tunnelbana, (2) den resulterande kedja av händelser, även kallade reaktiva sekvenser, vilka ledde tunnelbanerörelsen till den punkt där den upplevde självförstärkande processer. (3) Dessa självförstärkande processer, vilka slutligen resulterade i uppkomsten av tunnelbanan i D.C. During the 50's and the 60's automobile usage in the United States grew significantly and cities constructed extensive highway networks. In spite of these trends, key events in the 1950's initiated a process that would result in the construction of the Washington, D.C. Metro System – one of the first metro systems built since the 1920's. By applying the Path Dependence Theory and examining narratives of actors and events in Washington, D.C. that influenced the development of the metro during that time, this paper shows how this unlikely and unexpected process occurred. Using the Path Dependence Theory as an analytical tool, this paper identifies the following: (1) certain small events, also known as critical junctures, which started the process of giving DC a metro; (2) the resulting chain of events, also known as reactive sequences, which allowed the metro (movement) to reach the point at which it experienced self-reinforcing processes; (3) these self-reinforcing processes, which finally resulted in the genesis of the metro in DC. The paper concludes that three relatively small events, through different chains of reactive sequences, led to Congress granting the metro funds in 1965 – which then brought about self- reinforcing processes that ensured the metro's genesis.

Att “sexta” innebär att med textbaserade digitala medier kommunicera med sexuella partners, vilket är en praktik som kan upplevas väldigt intim trots mediets begränsningar av de karaktäristiska dragen av en fysisk interaktion. Denna studie har som syfte att ge en övergripande bild över hur denna typ av interaktion konstrueras och tar sig uttryck, vilket görs i en tredelad undersökning som fokuserar på kommunikationsmönsterna och hur dessa reflekteras över. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av 18 bidrag insamlade via en nätbaserad deltagande observation, 2 kvalitativa intervjuer och 56 svarande på en nätbaserad enkät. Genom ett självselektivt urval avgränsades den studerade gruppen till i huvudsak informanter med en medianålder på 27 år med erfarenheter av heterosexuella relationer. Det studien visar är att den distansering och begränsning denna kommunikation innebär oftast möjliggör förmågan hos informanterna att uttrycka sig friare än i en interaktion ansikte mot ansikte. Samtidigt värderas ändå den fysiska interaktionen högre då denna är mer “på riktigt”. Med begreppet digital sexuell kommunikation (DSK) har vi också ämnat klargöra och definiera det forskningsområde som denna studie genomförts inom, vilket kombinerar medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap med det sexualpsykologiska fältet.

“Sexting” is the communication between sexual partners through textbased digital media, which is a practice that can be experienced as very intimate despite the mediums limitations of the characteristics of a physical interaction. The purpose of this study is to offer a comprehensive overview of how this type of interaction is constructed and expressed, which has been conducted through a three-parted examination of the specifics of these communication patterns and how they are reflected upon. The empirical data consists of 18 contributions collected through a netbased participatory observation, 2 qualitative interviews and 56 respondents of a netbased survey. Through a method of selfselection the informant group was generated and constricted to mainly informants of an average age of 27 with experiences of heterosexual relations. What the study concludes is that the distance and limitation of this type of communication often contributes to a sense of a more liberated way of expression than what is possible in a face-to-face interaction. Yet the informants value the physical type of interaction higher as this is seen as more “real”. With the term digital sexual communication (DSC) we also aim to clarify and define the research area in which we conduct this study, which combines the science of media & communication with the field of sexual psychology.

I den här studien har man genom en i första hand kvantitativ metod undersökt vem som flyttar till nyproducerade hyreslägenheter i Malmö och av vilka anledningar. Genom att manuellt dela ut en förfrågan om att delta i en webbenkät har 1009 hushåll i hus byggda fr.o.m. år 2010 getts möjlighet att berätta varför de valt, eller inte valt, att bosätta sig där de gjort. Utöver enkätundersökningen valdes fem frivilliga representanter ut från de olika områdena och med dessa genomfördes kvalitativa intervjuer för få en mer djupgående bild. Det studierna visade är att över hälften av de svarande i enkätundersökningen tidigare varit bosatta i hyresrätter inom Malmö. När de svarande bads rangordna anledningar till varför det valt nyproducerade lägenheter kom läget på en klar första plats och kostnadsfördelar hamnade sist. Många uppgav att hyran i nyproducerade lägenheter är hög, något som även bekräftas i teorin. En av de tydligaste och mest anmärkningsvärda uppgifterna som kom in var att de svarande i extremt hög utsträckning hade eftergymnasial utbildning. Något som säkerligen hänger ihop med att det var ytterst få som hade en inkomst under 20 000 kr i månaden, vilket är en fingervisning om att nyproduktionen inte är för alla.

Through a primarily quantitative approach this study aims to investigate who moves in to the new constructed rental apartments in Malmö and for what reason. A request to participate in an online web survey has manually been handed out to 1009 household in properties finished in 2010 or later. The respondents have been given the opportunity to share their thoughts on why they’ve chosen to settle in a new construction. As a complement to the web survey, interviews have also been done in order to get a more profound understanding for the results. What the studies have shown is that a majority of the respondents were former residents in other rental apartments within the area of Malmö. The respondents were asked to rank the reasons for why they chose to settle in a new constructed apartment and while location was on the top of the list, cost advantages were in the bottom. A majority claimed that the rent is very high, a fact that is also confirmed in the theory chapter. The thing that was most clarified was that the respondents in very high extent had a tertiary exam, something that could probably explain the high income in the same group. This gives a hint saying that new constructed apartments isn’t accessible for everyone.

Syftet med den här studien är att öka kunskapen om naturfotografers natursyn. Studien baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer med sex naturfotografer. Som teori används Hannigans typologi över 1900-talets utveckling av miljödiskurser som inkluderar den arkadiska dis- kursen, ekosystemdiskursen och rättvisediskursen. Naturfotografi är ett exempel på den arka- diska diskursen, och min studie visar att det är den starkaste diskursen inom det naturfoto- grafiska fältet även om vissa fotograferar dessutom ansluter sig till ekosystemdiskursen och rättvisediskursen. Den arkadiska diskursen påverkar både hur naturfotografer konstruerar naturen och utvecklingspotentialen för naturfotografin. Den utveckling som Hannigan ser som en samhällelig utveckling över tid av diskurserna kan också ses som en individuell utveckling hos fotograferna. Efter en tids fotograferande börjar man röra sig ifrån den arkadiska diskursen och ifrågasätta idén om den vackra naturbilden.

The aim of this study is to increase the knowledge of nature photographers’ view on nature. The study is founded in qualitative interviews with six nature photographers. Hannigans typology of environmental discourse development during the twentieth century is used as theory for the study, including the arcadian, ecosystem and social justice discourse. Nature photography is an example of the arcadian discourse and my study shows that it is the strongest discourse in the field of nature photography, although some nature photographers also adhere to the ecosystem and social justice discourses. The arcadian discourse affects both how nature photographers construct nature and the potential for development of nature photography. The development of discourses over time that Hannigan sees in society can also be seen in individual photographers; following some time of photographing they move from the arcadian discourse and start questioning the beautiful nature photography as a concept.

▼ The possibility to create an alternate identity is different today due to the digital world. Previous research on online self-presentation focused mostly on identity constructions in anonymous online environments, where users could choose to be anonymous. This study aims to move forward and study online self-presentation in the non-anonymous social media platforms that are more commonly used today, especially amongst young adults with the research questions: • How do young adults present themselves on Instagram? • Do young men and young women represent themselves differently on Instagram, if so, how? • Can differences be identified in the responses, i.e. likes and comments between young women and young men? And if so, how can these differences be described? The study has been limited to Instagram, since this is a popular platform for young adults, who are target group for my study. The material is 120 posts from six various Instagram users, three male and three female. The findings are that young adults represent themselves through selfies on Instagram. They represent themselves differently through filters, poses and also in the way they communicate with their followers. The female users were more prone to highlight their appearance and post selfies from indoors and preferably a home environment. The male users more often posted from outdoors and with some activity. The female users got more responses from their followers comparing in terms of comments and likes and often complimented by their looks which is associated with constructed gender roles of femininity and masculinity; men being outdoor and active while the woman is passive, beautiful and prefers to stay at home. However, the findings also showed indications of not replicating gender roles and myths about what is feminine and masculine, as some of the male users selfies had traits that associated to female presentation and the female selfies had traits associated to male stereotypical presentation.

Hur ser upphandlare på sitt nya uppdrag att använda sig av hållbarhetskrav i offentliga upphandlingar? Frågan är väldigt komplex trots att lagverket tillåter miljökrav, sociala och etiska krav i upphandlingar. Hela upphandlingsprocessen påverkas också av många aktörers sätt att se på hållbarhetsfrågan och ta ansvar. Förstudier visar att alla organisationer möter olika hinder när de strukturerar om i organisationers uppdrag. I detta arbete är det fokus på Malmö och Upphandlingsenheten där kommunala upphandlare jobbar. Empirisk data är insamlat med en kvalitativ metod genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med fem anställda. Det visade sig att där finns flera hinder som de måste ta itu med. Först av allt behöver de sammanföra medarbetarnas individuella mål med organisationens mål. Analysen innehåller också goda exempel på när gruppen har kunnat avlägsna hinder. De anställda har också idéer på hur vissa hinder för hållbara upphandlingar skulle kunna avlägsnas. En av möjligheterna som omnämndes var att flera kommuner kan ställa gemensamma krav för att mer kunna påverka leverantörers hållbarhetsutveckling.

What does purchasers think about their new mission to use sustainable demands in public procurements? Even though the law allows environmental and social demands in procurement, the process is very complex. It depends on the co-operation between several different actors within and between organizations. It also depends upon a changed view on the relationship between public procurement and sustainable development. The purchasers must feel responsible for sustainability issues within their expertise. Earlier studies show that all organizations meet different hinders when they change their mission. Focus in this study is on Malmoe and Upphandlingsenheten where the municipality-purchasers work. The empirical data was collected with qualitative methods by semi-structured interviews with five employees. Results show that there are several challenges to implement “green procurement”. First of all the individual goals that the co-workers have must match with the organizational goals. This study shows good examples of how the purchasers have met some of those challenges. The employees also have ideas of how other challenges may be possible to overcome. One possibility could be to co-operate with other municipalities around sustainability to create mutual demands. This could create a greater pressure on suppliers.

▼ This research will analyze the impact of bipartisan politics and the media's conflicting role in influencing public perceptions regarding national security issues. The central focus is on popular media narratives, critically examined as an impediment to fostering unified public solidarity or opposition regarding the enactment of controversial legislation. In light of the increase in geopolitical conflict and the pervasive nature of terrorism, this study attempts to analyze the media's public role versus the privacy of clandestine agencies whose policies, albeit controversial address critical national security concerns. As a result, the conflict inherent between institutional and public spheres provides the groundwork for discursive and objective analysis. Empirical data collection and critical analysis of relevant materials; academic journals, online archives and published works by individuals active in media and national security, provide the primary source of qualitative data. Research was primarily inductive. Analysis effectively combined data from various qualitative sources in an effort to justify the central hypothesis. Contemporary tragic events also provided a supplemental source of relevant content. It is important to note, such events resonate with the rationalization arrived at in the conclusion. The principle aim of this research was to address the question: Does the media's promotion of the bipartisan political agenda impede or enhance national security policies? In addition, is the role of the media reflective of state subservience or does the media actively challenge national security initiatives, e.g. curtailing of civil liberties, human rights violations and loss of constitutional freedoms? The analysis further subjected by cross-disciplinary inquiry and academic theories pertinent to achieving the principle aims of this research. The theoretical framework and methodology utilized was consistent with political discourse analysis (PDA), specifically textual, as all discursive elements were present within the collected source materials. Additional analysis utilizing mediatization and audience theories provides the proper contextualization within communicative and media studies. Contemporary events surrounding geopolitical conflict, race relations and terrorism in relation to the institutional and international response, provides further demonstrable results, which is commensurate with the overall conclusions of this study. The outcome and results of this research indicate that mainstream media provides both a support role, emphasizing status quo narratives concerning national and international political perspectives and policy, and also a contradictory role impeding domestic solidarity by exacerbating political division along the usual bipartisan lines. The specific focus on legislation that results in expanding judicial powers surrounding national security concerns.
