学術論文

近年の学習科学研究の成果をもとに学習の共同性、社会性を基軸にし、いくつかの科学技術にかかわる学習環境のデザイン研究を行った。一連の研究成果から、学習環境デザインのためのデザイン原則(空間、活動、共同体、道具、デザイナー)が導出された。学習者と教師という教室内の関係から、複数の学習者、複数の教師や専門家、地域住民といった学校外の人々との関係まで広げた「持続可能な学習環境」のデザインへ展開した。その結果、学習の共同性(共同的メタ認知)、社会性(社会的動機づけ)を基軸にすることで、学校という枠組みを超え、組織、さらには社会の持続可能な変革へとつながっていくことが、新たなデザイン研究の方法論とともに示された。

ホタル通信は,呼吸情報を使ったコミュニケーションツールである.これは装着した人の呼吸を測り,息を吐いたら光り,吸ったら消える.呼吸リズムの速さによって色が変わり,相手の息遣いを可視化することで,相手が興奮/リラックスしていることを伝える.興奮していると呼吸が速く,リラックスしていると呼吸が遅くなる性質を利用した.また,自分の呼吸を客観的に知ることで,無意識の感情に気づくことができる. 複数の人がこれを装着すると,呼吸が合ったデバイスの光が明滅する.「息が合う」という慣用句の通り,自分と近い感情の人が分かる. 実際に使用した結果,相手の光の明滅で互いの呼吸リズム周期が近づく現象が見られ,自分が相手の呼吸に引きこまれたと考えられる.呼吸の引き込み現象を利用することで,共感を得,互いに一体感を感じることで,豊かなコミュニケーションが可能となる.

人間の情報処理過程に関する研究では,知覚と運動反応の分離性や無意識性を取り入れた無意識的知覚と運動の発現モデルが考えられている.机上に指先を置くと無意識的に不随意な運動が発現するという現象に着目し,知覚と運動反応の分離性から,刺激-反応系における認知行動モデル(平松ら,1985)に着目し,メカニズムの解明を試みた.視覚,筋電位,心拍動,呼吸に着目し,指先の変位と相関関係を分析した結果,呼吸との相関が高く見られた.意識に上らない呼吸運動による身体の揺れがトリガーとなり指が動き,フィードバック制御系に影響を与える.ずれを戻そうとする無意識の認知過程により,指先が不随意な運動をすると推測できる.加えて,皮膚コンダクタンス反応を測定したところ,相関が見られ,仮説が有力となった.人間の情報処理課程を明らかすることで,人間と機械を結ぶよりよいインタフェースの開発へつながる.
