Zaradi velikega napredka v informacijski in telekomunikacijski tehnologiji globalna konkurenčnost stremi k širšemu znanju, kjer so informacije postale najpomembnejši organizacijski kapital. Hitro spreminjajoče delovanje tehnološkega napredka je postalo del vsakdanjega življenja, ki zahteva, da mu sledimo. Tehnološke spremembe prinašajo novo kakovost, nove prednosti, izboljšave in inovacije. Med neizkoriščenimi priložnostmi sta izpostavljena tudi načrtovanje in upravljanje s kompetencami. Ključno ravnanje z ljudmi pri delu je potrebno tudi pri upravljanju s pomembnimi kompetencami, ki se odražajo kot odločilne lastnosti, sposobnosti, veščine/spretnosti, znanje, vedenje posameznika, ki je dovolj motiviran in z osebnim stilom usmerjen k uspešnemu opravljanju nalog v delovnem okolju. Na poslovni proces je potrebno uporabljati načrtno strategijo, strateško razmišljanje poslovnega procesa pa je nujen element organizacij in je neprecenljive vrednosti, saj odkrije vlogo kompetenc posameznikov.

Because of great progress in information and telecommunication technology, global competitiveness leads to wider knowledge where information have become the most important capital of an organization. Rapidly changing functioning of technological progress has become a part of everyday life, which is forcing us to follow. Technological changes bring new quality, new advantages, improvement, and innovation. Among the missed opportunities, planning and competence management are also exposed. The key management of working with people is recognizable with important competences that reflect in decisive qualities, skills, knowledge, and behaviour of an individual, motivated enough and personally oriented towards successful performance of working tasks in his working environment. According to the business process, it is important to use a planned strategy. The strategic thinking of business process is an obligatory element in the organization and of priceless value because it reveals the role of the individual’s competences.
