Degree: 2014, Universidade Estadual de Campinas

Abstract: The last two decades, especially, have witnessed a significant expansion of academic research related to the circus art, creating interesting opportunities for dialogues and extension of the pedagogical debate in the physical education field. The need for heritage recognition and appreciation of different cultures which come to educational spaces, as well as the construction of proposals aligned to the educational challenges of the twenty-first century seem to encourage such (re) approaches. Nevertheless, if we assume that each curriculum is territory battles for signifying senses and meanings, perhaps it would be possible to identify some factors by which the incorporation of such knowledge in initial training courses in physical education still seems to slowly. This threshold, the present research aims to analyze the implementation processes and development of the circus practices in the beginning of physical education graduation of two high education institutions in São Paulo state, being one a state public university (A Institution), and the other a municipal authority (B Institution). Among the specific objectives, we seek to examine the relationship between physical education and the educational building of circus proposals practices in pre-serve teachers¿ training; discussing institutional actions for approximating circus art and the university, besides proposing elements for curriculum structuring based on the required knowledge for initial training in physical education. In this regard, the weave Documentary Review of the political-pedagogical projects (PPP) surveyed institutions and also of the disciplines related to circus-themed interviews narratives (JOVCHELOVITCH and BAUER, 2012) with regular professors, managers, students and graduates of institutions. As evidenced, the processes of implementation and development of these skills were sedimented by factors of different natures, the result of natural, rich histories of mobilization, attitudinal research and the quest for building solid knowledge. We understand that only a dynamic concept of curriculum that enables other forms of organization of knowledge beyond the isolated disciplines, subverting the rational model of disciplinary areas, may take account of the multiplicity and contemplate the mainstreaming of circus language. It is hoped that the research will provide insight to new research, contributing to significant changes in these multiple "looms" training in physical education Advisors/Committee Members: UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE CAMPINAS (CRUESP), Ayoub, Eliana, 1966- (advisor), Universidade Estadual de Campinas. 2. Ugaya, Andresa de Souza. A dança na formação docente em educação física: The dance in the formation of physical education teachers.

Degree: 2011, Universidade Estadual de Campinas

Abstract: Today we can foresee the strengthening of a theoretical base grounded in the humanities that has placed Brazil at the forefront of Physical Education in the formation teachers area. Paradoxically, the educational interventions of most physical education teachers do not meet the new discourses raised by these studies. Physical education in primary education has historically been linked to three major paradigms, eugenics, health awareness, physical fitness and sportivization, the latter still dominant in the teaching and learning of school physical education. Moreover, we note the permanence of the teacher as the central figure of this process, which for the new theories of education, does not correspond to the principles and needs of today's world. To achieve an improvement in the interventions of the teachers of physical education in primary education, we must necessarily improved with respect the process of training these teachers. This research investigated the discipline program of dance (EF314) developed in 2009 at the college of UNICAMP physical education. The study aimed to verify with the students who passed the course, the contributions offered for teacher training about the dance knowledge. As one of the biggest problems of inserting the contents of body culture in a critical and reflective space in primary school education is directly linked to poor formation of future teachers, we sought to offer the subjects EF314 - Dance an area of discussion, conflict and reflection in which students were encouraged to position themselves critically as to their formation, participating, joining and contributing effectively to the construction of dance knowledge. Regarding the didactic-pedagogical proposed of the discipline, sought to emphasize the importance of the student as a researcher-reflexive which seeks through his studies and actions, become co-responsible in the teaching and learning, which allows you to create a balanced relationship between teaching and learning within the university. This perspective, the assumption is that the university student is a possessed knowledge person that should be valued and socialized in the university environment. The epistemological approach adopted in this research is the critical-dialectic, in which the interest is to develop and nurture a critical praxis that transforms the real and frees the subject from different constraints. This research used the technique to collect data the document analysis and focus groups. As a technique for collecting data used will be the focal group and treatment and interpretation of content analysis. According to the study participants the program developed in the discipline EF314 - Dance contributed significantly to this process of initial offering basic knowledge of dance and the importance of the constant search to make the educational intervention of the teacher committed to the interests and needs of the public served thereby promoting the expansion of knowledge related to the dance and the world in general. It is hoped that… Advisors/Committee Members: UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE CAMPINAS (CRUESP), Perez Gallardo, Jorge Sergio, 1946- (advisor), Gallardo, Jorge Sergio Perez, 1946- (advisor), Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
