1. Chambers, Brandon M. The 3 Steps to a New Life.

Degree: M.Arch., Architecture, 2012, Savannah College of Art and Design

This thesis focuses on ending the problem of homelessness. Through creating a series of small communities that will be called “The Breakdown”, “The Buildup”, and “The Living”. In each area of living will provide different tools to help the users become better people and get there life on the right track.

This stepping stone of areas will start with “The Breakdown” first, which will provide the care that they need to become mentally right again. “The Buildup” will provide jobs that they will get paid for and give them an income to live off of. The last part “The Living” will provide the independent living style that the users will need before allowing them to move out on there own and experience the reality of the real world.

Within all of these programs and living areas, each user will be working in factories created by this program that will build prefabricated housing units. These units will be sold and sailed to whomever is looking for an affordable home

2. Nicholls, Christopher. The Issue of Light: Fenestration and Skyscrapers.

Degree: M. Arch., Architecture, 2015, Savannah College of Art and Design

"The current 'Green Race' going on in architecture today leaves many buildings from older generations struggling to remain relevant in a time where energy efficiency is king. Specifically, the International Style of Architecture from the 1950s through the 1970s. This thesis will explore the results of creating responsive shading systems to protect the building, create an identity from which the current style denies, and ultimately extend the life of said building."
