▼ Since the theory of paternalistic leadership was established, an increasing number of empirical studies have proved that Chinese of enterprises in the organization does have a unique act of paternalistic leadership. So a leader in the leadership behavior displayed at the same time, their subordinates would die behavior, such as: authoritarian leadership: dependence and compliance, benevolence leadership: gratitude and repay, moral leadership: respect and identification. However, it has been for years of paternalistic leadership research, mostly emphasis in leadership behavior and performance of their subordinates, but less emotion involved subordinates reaction. Therefore, the study director of the paternalistic leadership and subordinate emotion, respectively in charge of the authoritarian leadership behaviors and subordinates anger and shame response to emotional responses, benevolence leadership behaviors and subordinates happy emotional responses, moral leadership behaviors and subordinates respect emotional responses, to explore the tradition of his subordinates on the emotional reaction of the psychological adjustment; and subordinates own sense of perception, to discusse the subordinate changes in emotional responses relationship. Total valid 300 subordinates to carry out research are found that: (a) the traditional psychological adjustment subordinates will anger and shame response to emotional responses; traditional psychological reaction to the anger was not significant, but a significant emotional reaction of shame. (B) Subordinates own consciousness and traditional psychological adjustment subordinates at the same time anger and shame response to emotional responses; high traditional subordinate own psychological, emotional reaction of shame have a significant effect of regulation.Finally, direction for follow-up studies are offered,the implications for leadership theory and practice are also discussed. ▼ This study explores The Role of Knowledge Broker in Open Innovation Framework. Open innovation is an increasingly important issue. Since open innovation concepts have been proposed in 2003, many organizations continue to change its strategy in order to be able to benefit in the open innovation. Open innovation allows companies to eliminate organizational boundaries between internal and external, which make innovation and resources can freely go out and inside. Open Innovation by its nature, can be divided into inbound open innovation and outbound open innovation. Inbound open innovation is that an organization can make outside ideas into the organization to assist innovation; Outbound open innovation refers to the internal organization released patent to the outside world, so that the patent can effectively use and organization can get premium. The knowledge broker is very important when companies conduct open innovation strategy. The knowledge broker refers to people who disseminate knowledge to the public. Organizations which implement open innovation need an occupation who can link the external resources and internal resources. This position needs to be able to effectively link different areas to generate innovation. Because frequent transfer and exchange of knowledge, many foreign enterprises start to set up the knowledge broker. Currently in Taiwan, we are not sure if is there existing knowledge broker, and what role is. Therefore, this study use case study to explore this issue. We screened 100 companies and selected six companies to make interview. We concluded that there is no perfect knowledge broker now, but outbound open innovation knowledge broker and in bound open innovation knowledge broker exist. And knowledge broker could not only broker knowledge, but also have the knowledge in other field. By this, it can know how and why can he outbound and inbound innovation. ▼ The tourism industry in Taiwan has developed with the change of government policy. The government has introduced the concept of travelling and sightseeing since 1948; permitted Taiwanese to travel abroad and travel agencies to apply for license in 1979; lifted restrictions on visits to the mainland in 1987; implemented five-day work week in 1997, and has allowed mainland tourists to visit Taiwan for purpose of tourism in 2008. With the increase of personal incomes from USD154 to USD15,388 and improvement of living standards, travelling plays a critical role in peopleâs lives. Meanwhile, Taiwan has a great proportion of aging population with the advance of medical and science as well as the enhancement of social welfare system, all of which influence senior visitorsâ travelling preferences and patterns accordingly. This research uses âCSC Tours & Travel Service CO., LTD.â as a case study and its main customers are from employees of China Steel Corporation and their families. In response to the large number of senior staff retirements in recent years, the main purpose of this study is to understand the travelling needs and patterns of seniors who are around or over 55 years old. The results of chi-square test and one-way ANOVA analysis reveal that visitors of different ages have diversed travelling preferences; for instance, senior travellers prefer staying away from bustling cities to suburbs, and doing activities without consuming too much physical energies. Diminishing language barriers or different food cultures can increase senior visitorsâ willingnesses to travel as well. In Addition, the ratio of senior visitors and other visitors mixed in the same travelling package is high, so travel agencies need to pay more attention to take both types of travellersâ needs into consideration when designing travel packages; in this way, travel agencies can take advantage of the flexible travelling time of these growing senior populations to create more profits. ▼ Police affair journalists have higher chances of dealing with work place violence when compared to other journalists due to their working environment and the nature of work. This study focuses on a single area, Tainan, as the research territory. 15 police affairs journalists from printed media are selected as the research objects, because printed media have the widest coverage than other types of media. This study has three purposes: 1. to analyze the causes and types of violence police affair journalists in Tainan face; 2. to review handling tactics and preventive measures of police affair journalists when dealing with threats and conflicts; 3. to understand the psychological recovery of police affairs journalists in Tainan during and after conflicts. This study takes in-depth interview of the qualitative research, accompanied by analysis of collected data, to form a basis of the in-depth interviews. Findings of this study include: work place violence and public safety satisfaction have little relevance; and research objects hardly ever involve in physical violence because they are able to prevent in advance. Police affair journalists face work place violence mostly from the reporting subjects (including persons being interviewed, or news providers), mafia, as well as verbal violence from managers of journalists. Work place violence and threats from managers cause psychological stress that need to be addressed particularly. This study further shows that objective and correct reporting are still the fundamentals to prevent work place violence. Self-adjusting, diplomatic approach to communication, or assistance from key persons may speed up problem solving. Accumulated seniority, experience, and ability to quickly adjust state of mind may also reduce the frequency of work place violence. Instead of negative approaches to demand subordinates, it is suggested that news publishing organizations to take positive approaches to encourage a proactive atmosphere within an organization. As well as to construct partnerships, enhance pre-service training, and may be constructed, and strengthen the staff pre-service training, deepen institutional experiences. In order to response to work challenges and reduce impacts of work place violence, journalists should face up to workplace violence, adjust personal state of mind, and timeously relieve and relax; as well as self-empowerment or experience sharing from seniors to reduce mistakes and shorten learning curve. ▼ In todayâs growing global economy, the proportion of retail trade in all industrial output is increasing as the current consumption patterns are changing. The retail market in Taiwan continues to expand and develop, bringing an urgent needs of talents and leadership among various levels. However, the strategies and directions of talent development depends upon the business strategy and corporate, even within the retail industry, retail chain companies originated from different countries may have different strategies and personnel training systems. This study aims to further analyze the link between training system and the company's business expansion strategy, and provide recommendations for future development. The subject of this study is the large discount store âCostcoâ in Taiwan, data were collected from in-depth interview with four senior managers, in order to uncover their business strategy and personnel training situations. Interview results showed that the companyâs business strategy is relevant to the following reasons: senior managers in Costco have long job tenure, high sense of employee and job identity, low levels of turnover rate. Particularly, salary and employee benefits are the key factors affecting employee sense of identification and the company's sustainable development. With low turnover rates, the expansion is closely related to personnel training and promotion. Therefore, this study gained an in-depth understanding of the business strategy and talent development process through the career path and promotion experiences of senior managers. This study concluded with recommendations to Costco, setting up a talent development system by the head office is necessary, the system may include career planning, function evaluation, staff development plan, performance management, training and tracking, and record the career path of all employees. The human resource distributions can be managed by the head office, instead of self-managed by regional stores. By doing so, the human training and development system may provide more objective information to identify potential talent for promotion, enabling the company to have a more effective talent management strategy. ▼ Under the rapid evolution of the domestic medical environment, reform of healthcare policies, lift of limitations of medical laws, implementation of national health insurance, and the change of payment systems, domestic medical institutes all perceived the importance of management. For effective management and continuous growth of hospitals, the demand for professionally trained Diplomate of Taiwan College of Healthcare Executives significantly increased and many medical affair management professionals had been cultivated in schools. A licensing system was set up in such background. Having been implemented for several years, this licensing system has shown limited effects. To understand the opinions of medical institutes and governmental departments on the implementation of this system, in-depth interviews were performed on license holders, service receivers, and high-ranking executives in the government to collect opinions from various perspectives and analyze the problems. The research findings showed: 1. Diplomate of Taiwan College of Healthcare Executives are equipped with basic knowledge about medical affair management and hold a positive attitude toward further training, but they still lack practical experience and professional capabilities. Therefore, their contribution to hospital management is limited, and it is urgent to improve the professional capabilities of Diplomate of Taiwan College of Healthcare Executives. 2. Due to the difference between Diplomate of Taiwan College of Healthcare Executives and medical personnel in their work properties and influence on patientâs life, a more conservative view was considered during the enactment of the certification system. 3. As to the position and acquisition of a Diplomate of Taiwan College of Healthcare Executives license, it was suggested that medical affair management be developed into a subspecialty and graded, and test subjects and training courses be planned for each subspecialty and grade. Since conglomeration becomes a popular way to maintain organizationsâ competitive advantages, the issue of how to manage, to make the best of, to integrate conglomerate Human Resources get to be very important. Among them, conglomerate personnel transfer is one of the common HR practices. Different conglomerates have different transfer policies, purposes, cultures, practices and above all, outcomes. The research aims at transferring policies in conglomerates in Taiwan, especially five manufacturing conglomerates: Formosa Group, Yuen Foong Yu Group, FarEastern Group, Uni-President Groups, China-steel Corporation Group, integrating the transfer policies in the current practice among these five Taiwanese conglomerates, reviewing the literature on the definition of conglomerate, conglomerate investment mode, transferring-related theories to break the 5 Taiwanese Conglomerates into 4 transfer groups: 1. Institution Typeï¼Conglomerate Transfer activities become companyâs values and employeesâ duties when the concentration level for conglomerate relocation Human Resource policy is high and when the level of employee choice is low. 2. When a new product launches to the market, you must keep developing another new product to move faster than the competitors. Besides, the human resource and equipment to develop new products must be a huge investment. The returns are not always guaranteed. Without R&D investment, the company will be out of competition in a short time.The employees always be encouraged to have innovative thinking with incentives. Sometimes, their creative ideas would bring unexpected effect and benefit the company. How does R&D personnel to have innovation? The purpose of the research is to understand the elements of innovation on R&D personnel. From the case company, Taiflex Scientific Co., Ltd, to have creative employees would bring tremendous benefits to the company. Every company would ask the R&D team to keep innovative and to develop new products continuously in order to be the leader in the market. If we can understand what the elements of the innovation, we can recruit creative personnel and speed up the development. While the company can launch new products quicker and raise up the company competitiveness, R&D team is the main weapon to fight the competitors. This is a case study of Taiflex Scientific Co., Ltd. There are 5 teams in the case company and all members are treated equally under same working environment and incentive policy. This study focus on the relationship between the innovative behavior of R&D personnel, also the team innovation performance and the influencing factors. The Purpose of the study is to understand the factors of the innovative behaviors on R&D persons and the relation between innovative team and performance. The factors are personality traits and KEYS. This study adopts Five Factor Model (Big Five) that includes Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness , Conscientiousness, on the personality traits. The study of organization factors adopts KEY structure. The result is concluded from questionnaire survey and interviews. The main factors on R&D innovation are personality traits, but team atmosphere would have only certain influence. From the case study, Openness to Experience and Extraversion have higher contribution to innovative behavior than Neuroticism, Agreeableness and Conscientiousness. The freedom from the team atmosphere is the main factor for R&D personnel innovation. The challenging job is the second important factor. The case company shows that innovative team behavior has positive connection on R&D performance. The more creative team has better performance. Besides, personnel working experience and education would have certain effect. The purpose of the study is to know the requirements such as personality traits, working experience and education while recruiting R&D personnel. Then we can find the suitable person, have better performance and keep the company competitive. ▼ The research method of this thesis is Archival Analysis method. First of all, according to accreditation of the hospital, we selected 104 hospitals, 73 hospitals organization charts in total, for the research objects. Secondly, we categorized organization charts based on the ownership of hospital and its statues. Finally, we deduced the types of hospitals administration department from their history and hospital administration management developed history. According to the result, there are three types of hospitals administration department that include: the Model of National Taiwan University Hospital, the Model of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and the Model of China Medical University Hospital. Most of Taiwan hospitals are belonged to the Model of National Taiwan University Hospital and the Model of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. These two types existed before the National Health Insurance practiced. However, the Model of China Medical University Hospital occurred and developed into a staff system after the National Health Insurance practiced. By the configuration theory of Henry Mintzberg, the National Taiwan University Hospital Model is a professional organization, and its administration department is acting as assistance in managing, the medical unit leads the control over all. On contrast with the National Taiwan University Hospital Model, The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Model tended to be a machine organization, administration is a core management which had a powerful authority. The China Medical University Hospital Model is a combination of those two models but slightly tends to machine organization; therefore its administration department has the authority. By understanding the role of management and itâs important in hospital system, administrator has to rethink about the mission statement, the prospect and the impact from the changing of hospital system based on macro viewpoint in order to manage its Human Resource Management resources efficiently.
