1. Hsu, Hsiu-fen. A Study of Teachersâ Attitudes toward Teacher Professional Evaluation in Kaohsiung Junior High Schools.

The study aims to explore the current conditions of teachersâ attitudes toward teachersâ professional evaluation in Kaohsiung junior high schools, and to apply the results of the study to provide suggestions to be references in the future. The study was conducted by means of questionnaire survey with âQuestionnaire on âTeachersâ Attitudes toward Teacher Evaluation in Kaohsiung Junior High Schools.â 600 teachers were randomly sampled from 34 public junior high schools in Kaohsiung County and Kaohsiung City. Among the collected questionnaires, 529 were valid, yielding a return rate of 88%. The collected data was analyzed by statistical methods, including mean, Standard Deviation, t-Test, one-way ANOVA. Based on the analyzed results, the followings were concluded: 1. The evaluation purposes are to help teachers improve their teaching approach and promote their professional development. The teachers of different positions and school locations have different opinions about the evaluation purposes. 2. The best evaluation method is self-evaluations by the teachers themselves. The teachers of different teaching course subjects, years of expericences, and positions have significant difference on the evaluation method. 3. The best criteria of teacher evaluation is âstudy and learningâ. The teachers of different background have different opinions about the criteria of teacher evaluation. 4. The best methods of evaluation data collection are from class observations and using the teacher self-evaluation sheets. The teachers of different teaching course subjects, years of experiences, and positions have different opinions about the methods of evaluation data collection. 5. An ideal application of evaluation results is to provide teachers with a mean of improving themselves. The teachers of different positions and school locations have significant difference on the application of evaluation results. According to the conclusions mentioned above, a number of suggestions were proposed to the educational authorities, teacher training institutions, junior high school teachers and future educational researchers. 2. Ko, Chia-hua. A Study on the Relationship between Junior High School Studentsâ Attitudes of Political Symbols and National Identities in Kaohsiung.

Abstract The main purpose of this study was to understand the relationship between junior high school students' attitudes of political symbols and national identity in Kaohsiung. Principal methods used in this study are literature review, questionnaire survey, correlation method, analysis of variance and regression analysis. Questionnaires of this study were sent to 600 third graders from 25 junior high school in the greater Kaohsiung area. Valid questionnaires were secured from 545 third graders. Six principal study results, which were obtain from data analysis in this study, are stated as follows: 1. The political symbols attitude of junior high school students in the greater Kaohsiung area tended to positive and active. 2. Junior high school students in the greater Kaohsiung area of national identity tended to identify with Taiwan is very strong. 3. There are significant differences in the attitude of political symbols among junior high school students of different backgrounds. 4. There are significant differences in the tendency of national identity among junior high school students of different backgrounds. 5. There are significant positive correlation of in the greater Kaohsiung area among junior high school students' attitudes of political symbols and national identities. 6. Junior high school students' of political symbols attitude in regard to national identity have predictive power. Finally, according to the study results, the following specific recommendations: 1. To select suitable teaching materials, and to make arrangements for appropriate courses. 2. To guide students' positive political attitude, and to encourage students to participate in the democratic political affairs. 3. To encourage students to actively participate in school activities and to be school cadres. 4. To focus on the effectiveness of the formal curriculum, and to help the potential curriculum at the same time. 5.To implement family education, and to establish a good parent-child relationship. 6. We can with the children care about public issues and foster their civic literacy. 7. To revised syllabuses, and to upgrade junior high school students toward national identity. 8. To set out a pragmatic and open-minded review of the principle about politically sensitive issues. 3. Lin, Jyh-Ru. Related Research On Teacher's Attitude Toward Counseling Effective Discipline Methods and Classroom Management of Elementary School Students.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between elementary school teachers' attitude towards the students' guidance and discipline measures and the effectiveness of classroom management. Based on the literature and research, we establish the theoretical framework, and to design research tools. This study used "survey method", prior to the merger by the Kaohsiung city and county elementary schools 600 teachers for the survey, obtained 528 valid questionnaires . Formal questionnaires recovered to descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression statistical analysis data. According to the result of the data analysis, the main findings are the following: 1. The elementary school teachers' show better "in attitude on the part of the overall performance level, which the" positive discipline measures "the most prominent. 2. The "classroom management effectiveness" is in the upper part of the overall performance, which the "teacher efficacy" best. 3. Male elementary school teachers for teaching, practice and self-efficacy have a higher perception. 4. Older, part-time position of director of elementary school teachers' attitude toward guidance and discipline measures show a higher perception. 5. Older, experienced, part-time position of director of elementary school teachers show the better perception of the effectiveness of classroom management. 6. Elementary school teachers' attitude toward guidance and discipline measures show greater the perception of the situation, the effectiveness of teacher classroom management will be the better. 7. Elementary school teachers' attitude toward guidance and discipline measures has a positive effect on classroom management predict.
