The study on the Relationship between Teachersâ Attitudes toward Participating Professional Learning Communities and Teachersâ Professional Identity Abstract This research aims to investigate the relationship between Kaohsiung junior high school teachersâ attitudes toward participation in professional learning communities and their professional identity. In order to complete this study,âSurvey researchâ was principally adopted to explore the subject on junior high school teacher in Kaohsiung and questionnaires of this study were sent to 500 junior high school teachers. Valid questionnaires form 483 teachers were secured and analyzed further. Principal methods used in this study are literature review, questionnaires survey, analysis of variance, correlation method, regression analysis and canonical correlation. Four major study results, which were obtained from data analysis in this study, are stated as follows: The findings of the research are as follows: 1.There was no significant difference on ages, education, or teaching year, in the attitude toward participation in professional learning communities. 2.In profession identity: No significant difference was found on ages, education, or teaching years; reversely, significant difference was found on sexes, positions, school sizes, community participation, and location. 3.Significant relationship was found between the teachersâ attitude toward participating professional learning communities and their profession identity. 4.It was foreseeable to predict teachersâ profession identity from the teachersâ attitude toward participating in professional learning communities, particularly âprofessional growthâ was the major predictable variable. 2. Hung, Miao-ju. A Study on the Relationships among the Junior High School Teachersâ Psychological Capital , Emotional Labor and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Kaohsiung city.

This thesis aims to investigate the relationship among Kaohsiung junior high school teachersâ psychological capital , emotional labor and organizational citizenship behavior . This thesis builds the theory, the study structure, and the basis of designing the study instrument by the review of the literature and the survey. Subjects were sampled from seventy- two junior high schools in Kaohsiung city. Six hundred seventy- four copies of formal questionnaires were delivered to the subject and there were six hundred thirty- three valid copies.The collected data were analyzed by using the statistical methods of reliability analysis,factor analysis,descriptive statistics,T-test,one-way ANOVA,pearson product-moment correlation,canonical correlation and multiple regression(step-wise- regression procedure). According to the result of the data analysis, the main findings are as follows: 1. The whole performance of the Kaohsiung junior high school teachersâ psychological capital is middle-high level .Among the sectional scores, âthe dimension of optimismâ was the highest. 2. The whole performance of the Kaohsiung junior high school teachersâ emotional labor is middle-high level. Among the sectional scores, âthe dimension of the basic emotional displayâ was the highest. 3. The whole performance of Kaohsiung junior high school teachersâ organizational citizenship behavior is middle-high level. Among the sectional scores, âthe dimension of non-benefit-orientatedâ was the highest. 4. The male, the elder, the high-educated, the senior, the administrator sense more about the psychological capital. 5. The male, the junior, the administrator sense more about the emotional labor. 6. The male, the elder, the senior, the administrator, the more than 49 classes sense more about the organizational citizenship behavior. 7. The more the teachersâ psychological capital will be, the better the teachersâ emotional labor will be. 8. The more the teachersâ psychological capital will be, the better the teachersâ organizational citizenship behavior will be. 9. The more the teachersâ emotional labor will be, the better the teachersâ organizational citizenship behavior will be. 10. The teachersâ psychological capital and the teachersâ emotional labor can predict the teachersâ organizational citizenship behavior, and âthe hopeâ is the primary predictable variable. Findings and conclusion in this research could be used as a reference for school, administrators ,education bureau and researchers to promote practice in operation and future research. 3. Tseng, Yung-Fu. A Study of Issues Related to the Placement of Elementary & Junior High School Principals in Taiwan.

ABSTRACT The major purpose of the study is to explore the viewpoints about the issues related to the placement of elementary and junior high school principals in Taiwan. The issues include the advantages or defects of the principal placement system, the formation of the principal placement committee, the implementation of the principal placement action, the qualifications and the criterion of the principal placement, and the arrangement of those who fail to be principals to become teachers again. The study, based on the literature review, designed a questionnaire about these issues related to the placement of elementary and junior high school principals in Taiwan. The objects of questionnaire survey include administrators of educational department, members of education committee in the councils, principals, managers, teachers and parents of elementary and junior high schools, which are randomly selected in eight cities. There are a total of 645 respondents. According to results of the study, some suggestions are made for education administration and future studies.
