▼ China`s new external (Geo) politics The author of this work holds the opinion that the (Geo) politic is neither due to geographical nor racial or otherwise but due to socio-economic conditions. The geographical conditions play only a trivial or supplementary role in governance. For the reason, the term " Geo" for geography must be placed in parentheses . This work is designed according to this guideline. In contrary to the leadership of the German Reich in the first half of the twentieth century, the Chinese leadership has not elected the way to exert power but the peaceful way of expansion. A consequence of the rapid rise of China is the direct confrontation with the former colonial powers and with the sole superpower, the United States. Therefore the world politics, especially in the third world countries is influenced by this competition and cold war between them. The Chinese elites are confronted with the U.S. control of the oil and gas sources in the world, the control of the transport routes of the raw materials and the dollar as a world currency and means of invoicing of world trade and the unjustified enrichment of the US economy. China's currency reserves amounting to over $ 3.5 billion, has become a trap for Chinese finance. On one hand, the Chinese reserve currencies, lose daily on its worth about a million of dollar because of the fluctuations and inflation of the dollar On the other hand the slump of the dollar would have indescribable negative consequences for the Chinese economic power. With its huge currency reserves, the Chinese pay for the influence and power through investment, unpaid assistance, and remission of debts in the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and particularly in the Pacific. The U.S. power elites make all attempts to curb China, with all means possible including the encirclement of the country with military bases all around the world surface, on and under the oceans, from the air and with the satellites and so on. First-strike option plans are worked out. Between the both superpowers is an arms race in full flood. The U.S. power elites support massive the separatist movements in Tibet, Mongolia, and in Central Asian part of China named Xin Jiang or East Turkestan which is inhabited by the Moslems. The Islamic movement for independence of Xin Jiang is closely allied with the other sectarian parties in Central Asia and worldwide. Their common goal is to create an "Islamic Caliphate „which includes all the Islamic countries The amount of Chinas Investments in central Asian countries and their mutual economic exchanges rose since the 1990 years at about fifty times. ▼ Das Hauptziel der vorliegenden Arbeit ist es, eine bislang wenig beachtete Phase in der Entwicklung der modernen Literaturwissenschaft im China des 20. Jahrhunderts ausführlich zu behandeln, nämlich die Massenkampagne von 1954, die sich ausschließlich um die Interpretation des Qing-zeitlichen Romans Honglou meng (Der Traum der Roten Kammer) drehte. Die Relevanz ist vor allem dadurch gegeben, dass diese Kampagne einen maßgeblichen Einfluss auf die Neuschreibung der chinesischen Literaturgeschichte hatte, die ab 1955 systematisch betrieben wurde. Die archivale Dimension, welche auf die massive textliche Produktion zurückzuführen ist, die in dieser Zeit auf Tagungen, in den Medien und in Buchpublikationen stattfand, macht sichtbar die terminologischen und argumentativen Verhandlungen, die zwischen der in der Republikzeit (1912-1948) ausgebildeten Akademikern und den neuen Generationen an Hochschulabsolventen stattfanden. Verankert wird die Perspektive der Arbeit auf diese komplexe Thematik durch die Fokussierung auf einen in der Kampagne beteiligten klassischen Literaturwissenschaftler, nämlich Lu Kanru (1903-1978), der 1948 Professor für chinesische Literatur an der Shandong Universität (damals in Qingdao) wurde. Die Arbeit ist in drei Kapitel gegliedert. Jedes Kapitel behandelt jeweils einen bestimmten Aspekt des literaturwissenschaftlichen Feldes, wie dieser sich in der ersten Dekade der VR China herausbildete. Kapitel 1, “A Shandong Professor” (Ein Professor aus Shandong), beschäftigt sich mit der akademischen Karriere von Lu Kanru, und zwar von ihren Anfängen in den ersten Jahren der jungen chinesischen Republik bis 1953, dem Jahr, als die sowjetische Formatierung der chinesischen Hochschullandschaft ihren Höhepunkt erreichte. Ziel dieses Kapitels ist es, stellvertretend am Beispiel von Lu Kanru die edukative Entwicklung jener Generation nachzuvollziehen, die 1954 zur Hauptzielscheibe der Honglou meng- Kampagne wurde. Das Hauptaugenmerk von Kapitel 2, “Honglou meng” (Der Traum der Roten Kammer), ist die Honglou meng-Kampagne. Hier wird vor allem die transformative Wirkung, die diese Kampagne auf die binnenchinesische Literaturwissenschaft hatte, insbesondere in der Literaturgeschichtsschreibung ab 1955, veranschaulicht. Im Zuge der Kampagne wurden bestimmte grundlegende Elemente der literaturwissenschaftlichen Tradition aus der Republikzeit und davor in Frage gestellt, um entweder aus dem Mainstream-Diskurs eliminiert oder in stark revidierter Manier in diesen eingeflochten zu werden. Einer der roten Fäden dieses Kapitels ist nach wie vor die intellektuelle Entwicklung von Lu Kanru, insbesondere seine Interaktionen als Individuum mit der institutionell orchestrierten Massenkampagne um den Traum der Roten Kammer.
