The purpose of this study was to assess the style of coaching leadership, players’ satisfaction, and the correlation between the coaching leadership styles and players satisfaction in football, as well as to find out the preferred leadership style. The subjects of the study are (N=80) Addis Ababa city premier league football players. The study was conducted during the 2013inseason. To conduct the research a descriptive survey was employed. For this purpose, the study was conducted in Addis Ababa since; the preparation of the premier league players often takes place. Questionnaire, interview and observation were used to collect the data pertinent. The data obtained was analyzed using frequency counts, and percentage. The findings show that the autocratic type of coaching leadership behaviors was dominantly applied. It is suggested that players’ involvement in the decision making process should be taken in to consideration to improve the satisfaction of players. 2. TESHOME, YIGREMEW. FOOTBALL PERFORMANCE AS A FUNCTION OF QUALITY TRAINING: WITH SPESIFIC REFERANCE TO ETHIOPIAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM .

The purpose of this research was to study variables that affect the quality of the training of the national football team of Ethiopia and to suggest variable alternatives that would improve the quality of training and the improvement of the performance of the team. The sample of the subject consists of 16 football coaches, 24 national team players, and 10 professionals from the Ethiopia Football Federation including members of the technique committee of Ethiopian Football Federation, and 25 expertises’ from higher learning institution ware included. To conduct a research both quantitative (using simple percent}, qualitative and descriptive survey method were employed. A variable data suggest the quality of training of players in there clubs has a significance impact on the quality of playing football in the national team. The result of the study indicates that some variables affect the performance of national football team of Ethiopia. major findings of the study are concerned, significant majority of the respondents stated that, the variables lack of good communication among concerned body, low attention given to the trainings by the coaches, players low motivation to new skill, knowledge of the coach how to demonstrate and organize training, there is no supervision during training to know their level of performance, low attention given to the team work and 74.5% indicates that the level of club and national team training is inadequate. 3. ZEGAW, TADELE. SOME FACTORS AFFECTING THE PERFORMANCE OF GAMBELLA ATHLETICS REGIONAL TEAM .

The purpose of the study was to investigate some factors affecting the performance of Gambella Athletics regional team. Data was collected through questionnaire interview and observation checklist. 58 respondents participated as the source of data. 40 Athletes, 8 coaches, 4 federation officer and 6 sport commission officer were participated in the study. The designee of the study was qualitative and quantitative and the descriptive survey method was used. The data collected were organized, analyzed, tabulated and interpreted using simple percentage. As for as major findings of the study are concerned, significant majority of the respondents stated their view that, there is a problem of selecting athletes, the quality and knowledge of coaches was very low, all coaches of the region have a problem of preparing training plan, there is a problem of job integration among sport leaders, the availability of equipment and facility were not adequate and shortage of incentives for coaches and Athletes. The findings indicated that joining one team without performance evaluation affects the training negatively, training were not given periodically to coaches to upgrade the knowledge and skill , problem of knowledge and skill in preparing training plane, the regional sport leaders are not working jointly, a great constraint of facilities and equipment and in sufficient incentives given to coaches. On the bases of the findings of the study recommendations were drawn, coaches should develop and learn how to prepare training plane, the region should find away to upgrade the knowledge of coaches, arranging trainings on how to prepare training plane, all the sport leaders should work smoothly for the same goal, the regional concerned bodies should work with difference stake holders to fulfill the constrains of resources.
