Abstract Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the contributions of the Institutional Program of Introduction to Teaching Scholarships (Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência ¿ PIBID) in the initial training of students of Biological Sciences under graduation course to understand the vision that these future teachers attribute to their professional training process and their insertion in public schools. The students experience in schools via PIBID has gained relevance because the Program makes the teaching career more attractive, contributing to the minimization of the shock with school reality in the first years of profession, and also discourage such choice when conflict with reality causes more disappointment than enthusiasm. As basis for this research, we used studies on the subject, and the testimonial of institutional and area coordinators and students directly involved receiving the scholarship. The methodological approach chosen was based on the qualitative perspective. Oral History assumptions guided data generation and analysis. Therefore, this study was developed with the participation of three coordinating professors and eleven scholarship students participant in the Program at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Sul de Minas Gerais ¿ IFSULDEMINAS), on Inconfidentes Campus, located in the municipality of Inconfidentes, in Minas Gerais state. The analysis reveals the enriching experience provided by PIBID to undergraduate professionals, being the Program a third space of training. Among the implications for the future teacher education were highlighted the weaknesses and need to rethink the Supervised Internship offered by the educational institution
